open Lightning Flicker-- The weird pony.

Lightning Flicker confidenly trotted through her new town. Well, not her new town, but one she just moved to. She was excited to get to the Evertree forest, and maybe even getting her Cutie Mark!

 

She passed the school and heard giggles. Her smile faded as she looked over. Some of the fillies were giggling at her. She lowered her head and continued on her way.

Benny noticed a queer filly trot by looking distraught. He turned to see a group of immature prima donnas smirking and mimicking the different pony. He stepped out of the alley he was resting in and looked down at the fillies. They screamed and ran off.

From his bush, Blue Moon saw a pony come out of an alley and scare a couple of other ponies away. Near him was a rather odd looking filly. Blue Moon decided to continue to watch the scene from the bush he was hiding in and see what events would occur.

Benny thought he heard a noise in the bushes, but he shrugged it off.

"Er,are you okay?" he asked in his deep voice. He rarely talked, but now was not the time for silence. The filly needed some comfort. Benny seemed to be the only pony there, so the task fell to him.

Blue Moon continued to watch from his bush to see what the colt and filly would do. Blue Moon had seen the colt around school a couple of times before, but has never saw the filly before.

 

Perhaps she just moved here, he thought to himself.

Chloe had just exited the suger cube corner and was walking down the street when she saw an odd looking pony and a young colt, being herself she ran over to the colt and looked at the young filly in concern,

"Are you okay?"

Sunyatay Sutra emerged from the Everfree Forest, heading into Ponyville.  Even if she might never be able to join in, at least she could sometimes vicariously enjoy the fun and friendship the other ponies had.  Especially when Pinkie Pie was being Pinkie Pie.  She heard the ever-familiar sound of mean giggling.  Maybe I should go and scare them on purpose! she thought.  It wouldn't be too hard.  Just approach the little snobs, then concentrate enough to become translucent, rear up and light her horn.  A close encounter with "the Ghost Mare of the Everfree Forest" or whatever they called her in Ponyville these days would be more than enough to scare the bejabbers out of some mean fillies.  Sunyatay sighed, letting go of her anger.  Word would spread, and then everypony would be sure she was some kind of horrible monster.  Plus if the victim saw, they'd be scared too.

 

She was pulled from her thoughts by the sight of a cute unicorn filly headed her way.  By the look on her face, she was probably the one being made fun of.  Sunyatay smiled, though the filly would not see it.  In a sense, she seemed like Sunyatay's opposite.  Even at her most visible, Sunyatay was a soft pink.  The little filly was more than visible--she was bright orange with orange tiger-stripes.  Then Sunyatay noticed that she had wings.  By now a couple other ponies had approached the young Alicorn to talk to her.  Sunyatay sidepassed to stay out of their way as they got closer.  Is she going to the Everfree Forest? she wondered, noting the filly's course.  I'd better go with them, just to make sure she stays safe.
