MLP - FiM Pinball Machine...what would yours have?

I've found a great way to waste (more) time!

 

The idea has been floated around before, and there have even been concepts and attempts to make one (if the internet tells the truth - and it always does). The pinball industry is nearly dead; the show, however, is perfect for a pinball send-up. What features should a MLP - FiM pinball have?

 

Here are some of mine; I'll edit as I think of more. "DMD", for those who don't know, is a dot matrix display on the head portion of a pinball machine.

 

Music - Main

 

A mix of the main theme that rolls on underneath the action. Possibly switching to Smile, Smile, Smile as game progresses.

 

Regular Game Modes

 

Twilight Sparkle Teleportation: shooting the scoop drops the ball elsewhere

Hover Spell: magnet holds the ball in place (also Twilight-themed)

Applejack Apple Targets: scattered throughout the playfield

Light the Mane6 for Friendship Magic Mode: All characters depicted lower center of the playfield - they light up individually

The Library: (special section / mini table?)

Parasprite Swarm Control: Pinkie instrument targets need to be hit to control the swarm

 

Sounds - Regular Game Modes

 

*Pressing start button, no quarters inserted: "This game is good / and very funny / but our friends at Hasbro / need your money!" - Zecora

*Score of more than 10M in one round: "Yay!" - Fluttershy

*Score of less than 50K in one round: "Aw man, that was awful!" - Spike

*Score between 5-10M in one round: "Kid, you're smarter than you look." - Cranky Doodle Donkey

*Score exceeds 100M in one round: "Ohmigoshohmygoshohmygosh..." - Rainbow Dash

*Start Twilight Mode: "Dear Princess Celestia..." - Twilight Sparkle

*Start of any Magic Mode: "It's time to make de magics!" - Photo Finish

*Start of various game modes: "Okie dokie lokie!" - Pinkie Pie

*2x point bonus: "Haha! The fun has been doubled!" - Princess Luna

*Hit the Zecora target: "She's an evil enchantress, she does evil dances..." - Pinkie Pie

*Ball drains prematurely: "Oh come on!" - Sweetie Belle

*Ball drains prematurely: "Darling!" - Rarity

*Tilt: "You have a lot to think about." - Princess Celestia

 

DMD animations (man, where to start?):

 

Pinkie Pie jumping around on the trampoline

Pinkie Pie spit take

Pinkie Pie playing her instruments

Applejack kicking

Rarity getting dragged by her horn

Twilight looking annoyed as loud pinball sounds keep her awake

Chrysalis staring face forward in silhouette

 

Special Game Modes

 

Rainbow Dash Sonic Rainboom Multiball: three balls; try to hit a ramp for Rainboom bonus.

 

Too Many Pinkie Pies Multiball: five balls. Every time a ball hits a bumper, Pinkie Pie says "Fun!"; get 100,000 point bonus.

 

Rarity's Gem Hunt

 

Derpy's Muffin Mania

 

Discord Chaos Mode

 

Barn Raising Mode

 

Winter Wrap-Up: various targets. Winter Wrap-Up music plays.

 

Nightmare Moon Mode: playfield lights go out; player has to complete a set of tasks in the dark. Jackpot is announced in the ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE.

 

Changeling Mode: target values and tasks change randomly to resemble other game modes

 

Magic Horn Battle: Twilight and Trixie face off on the DMD, and who wins depends on targets hit

 

Starswirl the Bearded Wizard Mode: Final game mode. Defeat Starswirl with all targets active and all mode points accessible.

 

Match Game

 

Changeling approaches one of the Mane6 on the DMD and either matches or doesn't match their character. OR Pinkie Pie jumps into the magic mirror pond and either successfully or doesn't successfully clone herself.
