Might be begining paintball

So... I may start doing paintball sometime soon(as long as i get above a 90 on my quiz tommorow   ?  ) but i have no clue about like which marker and gear and stuff to get. If anyone could give me suggestions on beginner gear that would be 

 

 

p.s. I don't think anyone posted something like this before, or if this is the right section.

nice dude, paintball is sweet, i airsoft myself, (its cheaper and i think its funner)  

anyhow i assume its the same gear wise, get one thats good and on sale, and you dont NEED any super good gear to play

I rented my gear from the paintball camp my first time and it worked splendidly. Don't go out and buy stuff until you play a few rounds and see if you like it.

 

Just remember: you will get shot. It will hurt. And it will feel glorious.

I started airsofting first so I kind of have a basic understanding of paintball. You shouldn't buy any gear yet, just rent some. You should wear some thick clothing but not too thick because you want to move around. Wear gloves because you never want to get shot in the hand or especially in the nail because it will hurt . Another thing is to have fun and see if you enjoy it.

I made a paintball/airsoft thread a while ago, but whatever.

 

Anyway, I'd agree with these guys in that, if it is your first time, just go out, get rental gear, and see how it is. If you need any advice on guns, gear, or just whatever afterwards, you can PM me or one of the other posters or go down to TechPB's forums and ask, since they are pretty nice and there is a specific board for you to ask any newbie questions.

I highly recommend you don't buy any equipment unless you intend on doing this rather often, as it can get quite expensive, an unnecessary cost isn't really needed. It's best if you use the equipment they have on site. If you REALLY REALLY wanna buy equipment then talk to the guys at the paintball arena/place, they usually have good tips and such for who to buy from to maximise savings.

I go to my local paintball arena fairly often but I have yet to buy any of my own equipment except for a pair of gloves and my own face mask. Good markers can be quite expensive and I wouldn't recommend that you buy one unless you are regularly taking part. As Dawn said it would be best if you talked to the stewards at your paintball centre first about equipment as the gear they provide is often good enough to use. My arena even provides upgrades for a small amount of money, although I'm not sure if every place does this.

 

If you can, I would recommend that you get a set of gloves as some places don't seem to provide them for you. Believe me when I say there is little worse than being shot in the hand on a very cold day. They're normally pretty cheap and you might even be able to buy them from your centre.

Paintball is awesome.  I would recommend monster balls, but they stopped making them because, "they don't break and causes too much pain" Pft, whatever, 'words'

I ve already gone a few times before, but my dad will have me go some more before i buy gear, thanks for your suggestions btw. I was looking for what i should get once i start going regularly  . (btw i got a 94 on the quiz )

man ah the memories my first time i when to paint ball i got concussed i was plying with a few mates at the local paintball arena and i was behind cover my friend walked past and i shot him 

 

the next bit gets fuzzy he elbowed me in the head i hit the ground i think he shot me twice and then ran off 

 

second time got my face mask shot off and shot 4 time in the balls and  twice in the ass  NOT FUCKING FUNNY 

 

but it was very fun
