The lines are all really jagged, and there's little to no shading from what I can see. Unless you were planning on it already and just haven't done it yet, I'd suggest shading. Set a light source and place your darker tones depending on the location of said light.

There actually is shading on all of them. The lines aren't really jagged, because I got rid of the sharp corners so it looks better and more pixel-y.

Your lines are jagged. First of all, the Mystery Dungeon games use black buffered outlines. Your outlines are a dark beige color, and are very sharp in comparison. Furthermore, your shading is obviously too soft if I was unable to notice it without further inspection after your reply. You are also using colors outside of the GBA or DS palette, and so, your portraits are inaccurate. I'm not saying they're horrible, I'm saying that they do not match the game's actual sprites and are very rough as opposed to PMD's soft outline and more noticable shades and hues.

It was meant to be pixelated. And besides, it's still a WiP if you read the OP. These are the rough beginnings, and i'll fix it when I move on.

I know it's a WIP, that's why I'm telling you what you can do to improve it. Don't make a forum topic asking what you can do if you're just going to wave people off for trying to give constructive criticism.

Okay, I wasn't 'waving' away your comments (Maybe a little) but I am going to make it more PMD-style later.

However, about the shading, I wanted to shading o be light because it's more MLP-styled. I wished for the portraits to be a mix of MLP and PMD.
