    If FiM is going to be anything like the Pokemon anime, I should be at least a little concerned. What you're saying is, while it will remain great for a few more years, it will then start slowly declining in quality until we get the equivilent of the current season of Pokemon. Celestia have mercy on our souls.

      I started with this site here. It's great for getting started - the great thing about the Internet is that you no longer need to spend tons of money on books or classes (though books can be helpful for some things). You should also look into using the program "Anki", which is basically digital flash cards (I use this to help memorize the characters and vocabulary).

    I'm definitely excited that they've decided to use an older gentlemen as the Doctor again, or by the 13th we'd probably have a middleschooler playing him. That's not to say I don't think Eccleston, Tennant, and Smith did badly as the Doctor, I liked each of their performances, but we haven't really had an "older" Doctor since McCoy. Something about an aged actor gives the feeling that he as a character is more experienced, and wise. Here's hoping for a great run with Capaldi. I was also sort of excited about the idea of a non-white or even female Doctor, but in the end the idea that they would end up choosing someone with any of those characteristics is slim to none (gender more so than race). Oh well.

    Define "girly". Technically speaking, I think I like her as a tomboy, and I don't think it'd match up if she was more of a "girly-girl" type character as the sole person she looks up to is the complete opposite of that. Though both she and Rainbow Dash are tomboys, they do show slight girly tendencies from time-to-time. In other words, read almost every post above me.

I always find personaility tests to be interesting, but I almost always get different results with every test I take. This result seems to be pretty accurate, though.

    I decided against posting this in the Requests Guild subforum as I cannot really gaurantee that I'll model something someone suggests, and this is more for just practice. To any staff, sorry if this is the wrong place. I've wanted to practice my 3D modeling for a while now, but whenever I actually decide I want to, I have no idea what to model. Anything I can think of usually doesn't have many useful references available anywhere that I - as a beginner - could use, so I thought I'd try starting a thread and taking suggestions. I can't gaurantee that I'll end up modeling whatever any of you suggest, or that I'll finish modeling it if I give it a try. If you have an idea of something I could model, please make sure you give a decent reference image, preferably with a front and side view image for me to work with. So, any ideas/suggestions/requests? Thanks in advance.

    My first time trying out the cycles renderer in Blender 3D, and this is what I came up with. This is actually my first time using bump maps. I think it turned out nicely.

    Just got my Sophomore schedule, and for some reason they let me into classes I could've sworn I wasn't allowed into for failing previous classes. Feels pretty good.

    A bit of a tough question for me to answer. During the day I'm wide awake and I needn't worry about what may happen when I venture outside. During the night I have more alone time and things are much more peaceful in general, however, this is also when I begin to grow tired and feel rushed for time as the day will soon be over. So I guess I enjoy both just as much, but I'd prefer if traits from one or the other leaked through to the opposite time of day. Does that make sense?

    Link is the bomb-diggity. Of course he gets along smoothly with the ladies, it's only to be expected. Am I right or am I right? And I believe one other besides me has mentioned Fluttershy, though I very well may be mistaken.

    As far as my FiM crushes go, they usually fluctuate between Twilight, Pinkie, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. The reason being that they all either share my traits (Twilight, Fluttershy), or they hold traits that I wish I had (Pinkie, Rainbow Dash). I do have some crushes from other cartoons and anime, but I don't really feel the need to write up a huge list at the moment.

      There are some genuinely good pieces of advice to be found here, just be cautioned not to take any of them too far. If there's a step that goes against your better judgment, then it's probably wiser not to take it.

    I don't have experience with this myself, but according to others who have had success, personality effects don't wear off. It would take a long time for them to become noticable, however. I'd recommend joining their forum over at http://hypnoponies.niceboard.com/, as they would know better than I.
