So not only did Sunset Shimmer used to be Celestia's student but she knew a magical path to far away adventures. So I wonder what this pathway is? Maybe it's a mirror that leads into the human world of "far away adventures". Oh wait. Sunset Shimmer is the main antagonist of all of EQ. Yeah..... My guess is that Sunset Shimmer got mad at Celestia for getting a new student and stole the crown and went into the human world with the mirror where she became prom queen a few times. Than Twilight went through the mirror where she met the human mane 6 and got the crown back (and possibly a boyfriend). And than a bunch of stuff happens in between. To what it seems from the trailer, the Mirror is in the Crystal and that was sealed away for a thousand years. True, the 2 look the same, but I think we are just dealing with a human version of SS and not some drop who got mad and ran away.
