My first sig

So, I finally made my first sig (That wasn't made in paint) and I was kinda hoping I could get some feedback. It was made in Gimp in about an hour, using a simple vector and the airbrush tool for the back ground. I can't figure out how to make a light source or something to kinda brighten it up. 

 

(Font is called "Big Fish Ensemble")

Most importantly, does anyone think it's decent enough for me to use as my actual signature?

Nice signature! A few things you could improve though is to maybe brighten it a bit, if you brighten RD and the text so they look bolder against the background, also you could move RD more to the corner because this will be a bit more symmetrical! But this is still a great Sig well done!

I tried what you recommended. As it turns out the font is difficult to modify, so I just redid it with as bright a red as I could (I tried other colors but it was difficult trying to find one that looks natural. If you've got any ideas, let me know). 

 

I played with RD's brightness and saturation a little, as well as moved her more to the side. Let me know.
