 The mayor sat in his office, looking over his papers. He had spent far to much time working this week, but he needed to get this work done. 

Reports of Royal being shot, stories of shootings down at the docks, that stupid cop who slipped all the info they gathered, and the fact that the location of the spades was wrong. The city was panicked and scared, and he had some serious PR to do.

Rush shrugged. "That's fine with me. Just make sure to stay where I can find you. Well... that should just about cover everything, right? We should probably get going. We wouldn't want to take too long and not get there until after his office is locked up for the night."

"Alrighty...Yup, sounds like we covered everything!" Neon said and started to walk to the mayors office. She turned back to Rush "Take your time and be silent! no rushing and being loud...although you don't want to take to long..." Neon just sighed and started walking towards the mayors office. She got there and knocked on the door.

The mayor raised an eyebrow. He hadn't remembered any appointments being assinged...

He put his hoof on the messaging system.

"Were there any meetings today?" The secreatary was silent for a secound.

"One was made very little ago, sir."

The mayor mumbled. "Stupid Secretary, not telling me crap." He turns to the door.

"Come in."

Rush laughed. "Don't worry, I can handle it just fine. You should just worry about doing your job and making sure I have enough time." He followed her towards the office, hanging back a ways. When she knocked on the door, he waited behind a corner for her to lure the mayor out.

Neon heard the mayor say she could go in. She looked over at Rush and sighed "Here i go" She whispered then smiled and walked in. She looked over at the mayor and sat down "Hey! I'm here to-" She was saying 'Wait, what am i pretending i'm here for?' Neon thought to herself "To, apply for...a job" She smiled

The Mayor nodded. "For the personal assistant job, correct?" He took out some files.

"Sammy, correct? I was told you were previously a cop." He looked through the files. They were extremely impressive, and even had a recommendation.

"You know..." He paused. "We need the extra hand as soon as possible, so if you're willing you can start today."

"Yes, That's me...i'm Sammy for the assistant job" Neon said "Start today? Yea that would be fine...i think my schedule is clear!" She smiled. She got up and walked over to the mayor "Hey, do you think we could talk outside? its so...hot in here" She fanned herself with her hoof

The mayor nodded. "Yes, we have somepony to meet today." He got up passing by neon.

"Grab a clipboard, i need you to write his responses down." He started trotting.

"Apparently this cop claims to have met with one of the spades members. We need to find out what they know, and it's good 

PR to look interested in these things myself."

"Alright" Neon grabbed a clipboard and a pen that was on the mayors desk. She walked with him but stopped when she heard what he said "A...cop who said he has met one of the Spades? You...mean the gang? Well, uh, that's crazy...how would he have met one of them?" She asked

The mayor nodded. "Yes, the gang." He said, somewhat curiously. "He supposedly  was confronted by some gang member, but she took a particular interest in the spades group, so he reported it." He stepped out the door, not noticing the other pony waiting outside.

"Apparently the idiot got 'seduced' by her."

Neon took a deep breath 'Its that stupid drunk cop...what am i going to do?' She thought to herself. She looked at the mayor "Look...i'm not sure i can...well..." If she said she couldn't go with him that might be bad...but if the cop noticed her it would be worse "Um...you got a coat and maybe a hat? It seems sorta cold out here" She asked, maybe she could make it so the cop wouldn't notice her...

 The mayor looked back at her strangely.

"I suppose i can share my coat." He gave her his, quickly looking her over before turning back to his walking.

"Luckily the precinct isn't too far away." He said, leading out the hall.

Neon saw how the mayor looked at her strangely. She put his coat on then smiled, she had to stay calm. "That's good.." She thought about something to say "Thanks for the coat, you are such a gentlecolt" She smiled as she walked with him  "So this cop says he got seduced by a spade pony? How stupid...And i didn't even know they had mares in their gang.."

The mayor scowled. "Yea, the idiot was even drunk, too." He shook his head. "The state of the police force nowadays, it's ridiculous."

He sighed. The streets needed to be cleaned up, and it began with stopping those spades.

"Once those annoying bastards are out of the way, the streets can be free again. But as it stands, people are taking sides. We need to convince the people we can control the town." He smiled.

"Wow, what a idiot...they really need to start hiring better cops, not drunks like that guy" She said 'but if they did that my job would be much harder' She thought to herself 'Wait what did he call the Spades? Ugh' She thought then looked at the mayor "Yea..So are we almost there?"

The mayor nodded. "Once this interview is over, the guy is fired. But for now, we talk." They had just reached the police precinct, and they passed by a few cops, till they reached a room where the drunk cop was.

The mayor sat in a seat next to the police chief, and they nodded to each other before turning to the cop.

 

"Now, what exactly did you tell him?" The Chief asked.

 "Alright..that's good" As Neon and the mayor passed by some cops Neon looked down and put the collar of the coat up hoping the cop wouldn't notice her. She sat down and looked at the cop quickly. She looked down at her notepad and got ready to write stuff down

As soon as the mayor was gone, Rush hurried into his office, closing the door behind him in the hopes that it might buy him a little extra time. He began searching through all the papers on the mayor's desk, looking for anything that might indicate he was involved in any sort of scandal, mostly proof that he was having an affair.

"I told her most i know, sir." He said, raising an eyebrow at neon. "What we knew of their numbers, where they are, that sort of thing." He looked back over at the chief.

"How long ago did this happen?"

"A few weeks, sir."

"Tell us the full story." 

The pony glanced at neon before speaking. "Well i was in the park, and this mare came up, i thought she was innocent enough, and we started talking, and we got to a bar, and...i'll admit i had a few drinks, and then we were alone in a room, and she asked a few questions, i didn't think anything of it, you know. Next thing i knew it was the next day, and she was gone."

The chief nodded.

"And what exactly did this mare look like?"

"I, uh...well, kinda..." The pony kept looking over at neon, before glaring at her, and "Like...her." Everyone turned to look at her, before the drunk pony got up from his chair; "That's her! She came to get me!" He jumped into the corner while the other cops took a step back, holding guns out towards her.

Neon kept her head down. She noticed as the drunk cop kept looking over at her she hoped he couldn't tell it was her. She heard the drunk cop say that it was her and she saw as all the cops took out their guns 'Buck. Just bucking wonderful, you stupid cop' She thought to herself. She looked around, if she tried to run just now she would probably get shot. She stood up slowly "Hey, guys calm down! He is drunk...it wasn't me! So could you stop pointing guns at me?"

The cops hesitated for a second, a few slowly lowering their guns.

"No, that's her! i'd recognize that voice anywhere!" The cop said, cowering in the corner. The mayor took a few steps back, standing behind the other cops. 

The police chief came forward, taking out some cuffs. "You are under arrest under charges of gang participation, cop manipulation, and anything else your gang has done." He cuffed (Don't bucking ask how, ok?) her hooves, grabbing her by her shoulder.

"You're going away for a long time..."

She looked around at the cops lowering their guns 'Good hopefully i fooled-' Neon was thinking when the drunk cop spoke again. She looked at him madly as the chief cuffed her hooves "You stupid bucking coward" She said to the drunk cop. Neon struggled to get out of the cuffs. She hit the chief with the back of her head hoping she could get away.

The cops quickly reacted, one jumping on her, knocking her over to the floor. The others got around her, pulling her back up. This time, two of them grabbed her, and one stood behind her, ready to shoot.

"Try that again, and you won't even make it to the cell." The chief said, rubbing the spot where she hit him.

"You have the right to remain silent..." He continued, they guided her out of the room, towards the cells.

"Can't you be a bit more gentle? I'm still a mare you know, hasn't your mom or dad ever told you not to hit a mare? Or shoot for that matter" Neon said as she saw the cop pull out a gun ready to shoot if she tries that again. Neon looked down and tried to think of a way to get out of this. As they walked she looked up at the mayors office wondering if Rush got anything from there
