"Dunno actually, I don't eat fruit that often...let's explore a bit, then. I'll let you choose dinner." He smiled at her.

Winterglade raised an eyebrow in confusion. As far as she could remember, Fender always delegated the choosing of almost everything. While the thought of it flattered her, now she had no clear idea on what kind of foods he actually like. She shrugged. "Okay then, I'll try to pick a wide variety of it. But tomorrow, you would be the one who get to pick the breakfast okay?" She trotted to a nearby fruit stand and started picking up some that fancied her. Apples, bananas, oranges, grapes, and a tomato. "Does tomato counts as a fruit?" The vendor merely shrugged. Winterglade chuckled and quickly finished the transaction.

Ponies in the market were noticeably more erratic as times went by, as if something was chasing them. Winterglade hardly paid any attention to it all, though, she was busy scanning through the fruit stands, but she found none had any kiwi. She huffed. "Looks like the kiwi would have to wait until later. Come on, Fender, pick whatever you want. Be it asparagus or maybe pasta, I'm sure you want to eat something. As long as it's not anything that smells funny."

"but Cloudsdale isn't very kind for a lone mare. Some... things had happened in his absence,"

Fender must ponder what those things are. ._.

"Fair enough then." He chuckled.

"You know I'm not too picky. At least not all of the time...dinner is dinner, and I'm spending it with you." He smiled politely.

"Not like I could ever get away from her for dinner...and not that I'd ever want to."

"G'head and get whatever you want. I'll be happy to just have something to eat." his polite smile still worn.

Winterglade pouted. It seemed Fender didn't bite the bait. She inwardly shrugged, she would have to wait until breakfast tomorrow. "Ah, yes, I'll pick the canned asparagus, please," she turned to the vendor and handed over the bits. They didn't bring the pots and stove along with them, tons of fruits and canned vegetables would have to do for now. Satisfied with her purchase and the now almost brimming basket on her back, she trotted back to Fender, whom still had that smile on his face. Winterglade chuckled. "What are you so happy about? Seeing something you like?"

OOC: That's... totally unexpected XD

Welp, only time will tell

"What are you so happy about? Seeing something you like?"

"Do you count?" He raised an eyebrow and grinned. He knew it was completely inappropriate in public, but he loved showing off his terrible flirting skills to the ponies around him.

He noticed a young mare giggle upon hearing him, and who appeared to be her mother, facehoof. Fender couldn't help but chuckle.

"C'mon now, I think we're ready to head back."

I'm anxious. @-@

Gonna sleep soonish, but if you can post a response, go for it...I'll respond when I wake up. :3

"Oh you." Winterglade smacked Fender's torso playfully, partially embarrassed of the public display of affection. There was a giggle from another mare, and a facehoof from another. Winterglade could feel her face reddened. She smiled nervously while the vendor from earlier held back a laughter.

"C'mon now, I think we're ready to head back."

"Yeah, let's." Without further ado Winterglade carried her basket with her mouth and dragged Fender by his tail out of the market. She groaned and facehoofed. "Now I'll be the gossip material for the rest of the week. No grapes for you," she said to Fender. "Let's- oh dear."

On the sky there was a blanket of cloud, slowly increasing in thickness. A couple of weather team pegasi could be seen flying erratically above the city. The once hustled street quickly became deserted. "There will be a storm it seems. Better get going!"

Rest easy, this RP is not in any rush to anything :3

Good night~

Demmit. Was about to sleep. LAST POST FOR TONIGHT I SWEAR. D:

Winterglade could feel her face reddened.

Fender, unlike the vendor nearby, couldn't hold back from laughing lightheartedly.

"Now I'll be the gossip material for the rest of the week. No grapes for you,"

"Yeah, I know. It was worth it." He grinned

"Yup!"

The two raced back to the inn, getting in just in time and barely escaping the rain, they went back to their small inn room and prepared to have dinner.

"I suppose we'll have to eat on the bed, hm? Well, at least we'll be comfy." He then remembered how small the bed actually was. His face blankened. "Well...comfy...but...I don't think we'll have room to eat, unless we're eating off of each other, which, let's face it: probably is going to end up rather strange. Maybe we can just stick to the floor then?"

Winterglade followed Fender galloping all the way back to the inn. The sky literally poured down the moment she stepped through the door. She didn't know the weather schedule, but she could guess the storm wouldn't fade until the next morning. She shivered from the cold wind. That was a bit too close for her liking. Back in their room, Winterglade quickly put down the fruit basket on the drawer. Her lower jaw felt sore from all that galloping.

"Well... If you're into that kind of thing, we can try," said Winterglade, sticking out a tongue. She nibbled on the grapes and took out a handful of them with her snout. "The floor is fine too. You can eat on the bed, I'll ask for the guy at the front for a chair or something." She trotted out and returned back after a moment with a folding chair.

"That one's up to you, love." He chuckled,

She trotted out and returned back after a moment with a folding chair.

"Oh no, you're getting the comfortable spot." he insisted, "A folding chair is no place for a princess." he said with a fake royal voice, much like the ones he heard the rich ponies of Canterlot use, he couldn't help but grin at his foolishness. He rushed her over to the bed with her food, and pulled the chair up for himself.

Fender decided he'd just eat some apples and oranges. After chewing and swallowing a bite of apple, he thought of breakfast earlier, he looked to Winterglade, "Hey...how many foals *do* you think we'll have?" He realized they were eating, his face blankened, then he smiled sincerely and continued, "I mean...I have to wonder, how many little FenderGlades do you think will be running around?" He chuckled.

He rushed her over to the bed with her food, and pulled the chair up for himself.

Winterglade chortled heartily when Fender rushed her over to the bed. Fender totally sounded like one of those stuck-up unicorns in Canterlot, but the sound just didn't make a lick of sense coming out of his throat. She bopped his snout once before helping her an apple.

"Hey...how many foals *do* you think we'll have?" He realized they were eating, his face blankened, then he smiled sincerely and continued, "I mean...I have to wonder, how many little FenderGlades do you think will be running around?" He chuckled.

The mare nearly choked on the apple seeds, both in surprise and an overwhelming urge to laugh. She quickly swallowed down her fruit before replying, a tinge of blush on her cheeks, "FenderGlades? what kind of names is that? He or she would be a laughing stock whenever they go." She paused for a moment to bursting into laughter. "If we have to name them, I would rather choose something like Winter Song, or maybe Snow Singer. It would depend on a lot of factor, to be honest. One of my cousins is an earth pony, so we might have to buy a house on the ground."

She circled her hoof on the bed linen. "About how many foals, that's..." She facehoofed. "The idea of cradling my own foals in itself sounds scary, I'm not sure about that."

"Oh well you don't have to over analyze it...just a number, that's all it is right now. Hey, and whenever that time comes around, you know I'll be there for you every step of the way, right? Don't be scared." He finished his apple, and smiled.

"Still, it's not just a number, it's our future right?" Winterglade nibbled on her grapes. Her mind wandered back to the conversation she and her mother had during breakfast. Three years, which would meant that they only had enough time for two foals, and that would require them to start immediately. The absurdity of scenario... Winterglade sighed and quickly ate all of the grapes in silent frustration. She wasn't sure that she was ready to start planning about it.

"Taking care of a foal. To be honest I would fail to take care even a single pup," Winterglade chuckled. Her hooves wandered to the canned asparagus and tried to open it, but soon found that the lid was exceptionally stubborn. She grunted and panted while her hooves uselessly slid all over the can, unable to fully grab it properly. "Fender, can you help me here?" she asked nervously.

"Sure," he used his teeth to force open the lid, which kind of hurt, but he got over it when he realized he didn't damage his mouth at all, handing it back to her, he continued, "Well, yeah, you're right...it isn't just a number, it is our future. It's a lovely future, I think." He gave a freindly wink, "And...as far as your parenting skills would go...I have no way of being sure...but...you make a phenomenal marefreind, so I'm certain you'll make an absolutely incredible wife-" Fender stopped briefly at the thought, but continued, "-and my best guess is you'll make an indescribably-amazing mother, whenever that time comes around. I believe in you." He smiled sincerely, and then started working on another apple, finishing it off in very short time, while awaiting her response.

Winterglade winced when Fender bit and forced the lid open. Thankfully his lip wasn't hurt in any way. She cheered when Fender gave her the can and quickly drunk the content straight from the can. Mmm, asparagus. It tasted a bit weird, though.

"Well, yeah, you're right...it isn't just a number, it is our future. It's a lovely future, I think." He gave a freindly wink

She put down the can and raised an eyebrow at the word 'lovely.' She didn't really know how to feel about the implication behind it. But then again, she would be lying if she said that she didn't want a couple or maybe three foals of her own.

"And...as far as your parenting skills would go...I have no way of being sure...but...you make a phenomenal marefreind, so I'm certain you'll make an absolutely incredible wife-" Fender stopped briefly at the thought, but continued, "-and my best guess is you'll make an indescribably-amazing mother, whenever that time comes around. Winterglade chuckled. "You know being a marefriend and a mother are two totally different things, right? About that, yeah, I guess we wouldn't know until we crossed that bridge." She smiled. She felt safe knowing that Fender would always be at her side-

*KHA-BOOM*

An impossibly close and loud thunder struck. The lamp momentarily flickered, the ever-present noise of rain water pouring down the drain filled the room. Before anypony could even so much blink, Winterglade already flew and struck Fender straight to his face. The shaken mare hugged Fender's head tightly, afraid to let go. "T-Thunder shouldn't get that... loud!" she whined.

"T-Thunder shouldn't get that... loud!" she whined.

His voice slightly muffled and his lips a bit scrunched, he tried to talk to her, "Wiwntuhwguhlade-" He slid her hooves off of his face and down to his neck, which wasn't easy, giving how tightly she was holding. "-It's alright, it was probably just close to us, I'm sure it was nothing." He realized she was practically sitting on top of him in the chair, and before he knew it, it was tipping. As it toppled to the ground with them, he let out a quite audible "AhhhAH." Her landing on top of him like that knocked the wind out of him a bit, but he wasn't hurt, and there was no way she was either, his torso broke her fall.

When he regained his breath and realized she was still laying half on him, he got slightly concerned, "You okay?"

Winterglade squeaked as she and Fender fell of the chair. Fortunately she wasn't hurt from the fall, but Fender wasn't so lucky. She scampered off the stallion and apologized, "sorry! I didn't mean to. My bad." She dusted off Fender's coat and helped him standing up. "Are you okay?"

She shivered. She hadn't noticed it before, but the room had gotten considerably colder. "What the hay is going on with the weather? It's not supposed to be winter until the next month." She turned back to the bed and started putting back the spilled fruits back to their basket. "I hope my mother is alright."

"I'm fine." He said plainly, but he sort of frowned when she mentioned the weather and her mother...he hoped that the two weren't related in any way. "Do you want to go check on her?" he said, helping Winterglade put the fruits in the basket. "Might be a bit wet on the way, but if you want to, we can."

"Um no, I don't think we should do that." Winterglade paused and spared a glance to the shut window. "Not that I don't want to, but I'm sure my sister already got my mother back in home before the storm poured down." She pawed the floor, unsure about her own words. "At least I hope so. My mother hates this kind of weather because-"

The light flickered a few times. Winterglade visibly tensed, she stared at the lightbulb above. It flickered another couple of times before it finally went out, there was a loud bang somewhere in the lobby. In the darkness, Winterglade facehoofed. "Speaking of the devil..."

He couldn't help but take notice of her discomfort, he sighed "Alright then, let's just lay down for now." He said after the light went out. "With the way the weather is, we're probably better off inside." he smiled in the darkness, knowing she probably wouldn't see it, "Besides, after around a month of us working on and off, I think we could do some catching up."

He felt for her in the dark, finally finding her, he dragged both of them carefully to the bed. When they were both laying down, he made sure he gave her room; so much so that he was almost hanging off of the edge of the bed. He thought back to her earlier remark about an Earth Pony cousin, and the probable need for a house on the ground, this lead back to the thought of foals...but he figured he had worn that conversation out a bit, he wouldn't drop it in his head though...

...then another thought re-entered his head: Marriage. He didn't necessarily want to talk about it with her for some reason. Perhaps because he wanted it to happen. Soon. But...one month into their relationship? It was a strange predicament. They had been together for only a month, gotten together the day they met, and have grown to love and trust one another more than anyone else in their lives in just one month...perhaps even though the relationship would seem rushed, from afar...for them, Fender could imagine it felt like a lifetime already.

He realized he was just sitting there silently for the past minute or so, looking like an idiot. An invisible one at that, he couldn't see a thing. "So...uh, what do you want to talk about?"

"Um, yeah, we better stay in here... Oh Celestia I hope whoever is in charge of this electricity they would repair it real soon," Winterglade groaned. Normally she wouldn't be afraid of the dark, but the noise of the constant trickle of the rain water combined with the rustling leaves somehow irked her more than usual. "Fender, where are you-eep!" she squeaked when Fender suddenly grabbed her to the bed. Well, it seemed it was the time to go to bed early.

On the bed, surrounded by darkness, Winterglade could only stare at the nothingness. She felt tired, but sleep alluded her. She slid closer to the wall to give Fender more room when he spoke.

"So...uh, what do you want to talk about?"

"I... don't know." The mare stirred and turned to face Fender. The stallion's feathers felt rather soft when the air is cold. She poked at them a couple of times. Her mind wandered to the previous topic about foals. She imagined herself cradling her little bundle of joy, Fender sitting beside her, while her mother looked at them, pride in her eyes. The thought of it caused her cheeks to flush, now she silently thanked the darkness for hiding her embarrassment. But... maybe the premise itself wasn't so bad after all. Winterglade hugged one of Fender's hooves and nibbled on it. "Fillies or colts?" she suddenly blurted out.

"Fillies or colts?" she suddenly blurted out.

Fender chuckled, almost giggled at her silliness, but he answered the question seriously, regardless of his slightly un-serious tone.

"Well...either." he paused, almost able to see her white coat through the darkness. "We're a little ways from there still, it'll be here sooner than we realize." He chuckled once more, and scooted closer to her, pulling her toward him at the same time. "There, should be a bit warmer in here now." he paused once more, looking at the white-ish figure in front of him. He didn't have to have full view of her to think she was beautiful, he got to live with that pleasure every day. The very thought of her still made him ecstatic...just happy. He would sound a bit dumb for saying it, but he would say it anyway...he spoke the words more softly than he had ever sang any song. "I love you."

Winterglade tensed as Fender pulled her closer, but inevitably gave in to the stallion. She snuggled and buried her face in his chest fur. Her eyes fluttered close, she could hear his heartbeat, thumping in steady rhythm matching her own. In his hooves she felt at ease, protected, the storm outside of the walls felt so far away.

"I love you."

"I love you too," She pulled back for a moment to find his snout and kissed him squarely. A month ago she had decided that, yes, this is the stallion for her, and she had never regretted making that choice. What was only a brief moment felt forever in her heart. No... she needed more. Without a word she reared up and embraced the stallion, to fully give herself in to him.

Without a word she reared up and embraced the stallion, to fully give herself in to him.

The next morning came upon them, the storm had ended. Since they went to sleep earlier, the slept a bit better, and woke earlier.

Fender woke slowly, somewhat exhausted from the night before...but with a beautiful mare cuddled up to him, still asleep. He smiled at the still figure, and treasured her tired little breaths with each small snore. He carefully got out of bed, so as not to wake her.

"With the way she used to work in Ponyville...I'm sure she'll enjoy the extra sleep."

He went in the bathroom and washed up a bit, to help himself wake up a bit more. He decided that while he let Winterglade sleep for a bit longer, he'd just go see if there was any coffee or tea machines laying around. When he stepped out of the inn room, a stallion from next door stepped out as well. Fender was about to wave a hoof, until he realized the other stallion had a sly grin and an eyebrow raised, and he was failing to hold back some hearty, yet mischievous laughter.

"You and your freind were a tad bit loud last night."

Fender swore his entire coat turned from grey to red,

Another hearty laugh came from the stallion at the next doorway, "Heheheh, pay no mind. Just don't make it a habit, we need sleep sometimes too." He gave a polite grin, and Fender smiled defensively, then the other stallion stepped back into his room.

Fender quickly made his way down the hallway, to escape any other situations like that that may occur. Once in the lobby, he looked at the nearly empty room, it was just Fender and the front desk mare in there.

He looked at her nonchalantly, "There weren't any...noise complaints last night, were there?" He'd be lying if he said she didn't look puzzled, "Just everypony griping over the thunder...why?" "Just curious." His face blankened, and he thought he'd drop the subject.

He looked around for any coffee or tea machines...none were in sight. "Hm, shame." He mumbled to himself. Looking back to the front desk mare, he spoke curiously, "There don't happen to be any event planners around here, are there?" Again, she looked confused, "Define events...because if it's another party of colts coming here to wreck the inn, I'm not saying anything." He saw how tired she looked from what was probably the night shift, and didn't take her comment rudely, "No, no, I mean for like...weddings." At this, her face changed from tired, and irritated to curious and interested, she even smiled, quite widely. "Down the street just a few blocks, you'll see a restaurant called 'Wingin It' owned by some pegasi, the building to the left of that usually helps with stuff like that. Is it that thin white mare you were with last night before the storm?" He felt a sense of pride in Winterglade and him being noticed together, "Yes. I wanna make this incredibly special for her." He grinned, "She seems like a one-of-a-kind girl." She beamed, "Yeah, she is. Thank you." He nodded politely, and she nodded back.

When Fender made his way back into the little inn room, Winterglade was still asleep. Fender carefully crawled back into the bed with her, and snuggled her closely, kissing her on top of the head, in hopes she'd wake up. He wanted to start the day off.

Winterglade stirred in her slumber. The particular dream she was having was simply unlike anything she ever had before. In her dream, she was a mother of four. One earth pony, two pegasi, and somehow, one unicorn. She watched over her foals as they played across the grassy field near Ponyville. One of the pegasi managed to catch up with her older sister, an earth pony, and slammed straight into her, the two tumbled together in a chaotic mass of hooves and kicks for good ten feet before finally stopping. Winterglade cried out in worry, but the earth pony stood up and laughed, showing that she was indeed okay. Winterglade sighed. These four were a massive boon in her life, she was ever so grateful that she was blessed dearly so. But something felt... incomplete.

She looked around her, the dream rippled as she moved her ethereal head. There was something missing. No, it was somepony. The joy from before quickly forgotten as she frantically searched for that somepony. Under the bench, in the shrubberies, on the tree, over the cloud, even behind the obsidian monolith, there was none. Her four foals looked at her, puzzled on why their mother could be so restless during their presence. Winterglade asked the question. The eldest of the foals answered. It was not the answer she wanted to hear. Broken, the dream around her shattered as one by one her little joys phased out of existence. In the waking realm, a single tear made its way to her eyes.

When Fender made his way back into the little inn room, Winterglade was still asleep. Fender carefully crawled back into the bed with her, and snuggled her closely, kissing her on top of the head, in hopes she'd wake up. He wanted to start the day off.

Winterglade woke up with a start, but quickly regretted it as the light assaulted her poor retinas. She blinked a few times before she could finally see who had awaken her. Without a word Winterglade grabbed the stallion closer and buried her face in his neck. Sharply she inhaled his unique scent, afraid that she would eventually forget what would it be like in his presence. "Good... morning," she stuttered out, her eyes misty from the sleep, or maybe it was from her terrible dream, she could not tell.

"Good morning, beautiful." He hugged her back, tightly. "It's good to see those eyes open again."

He smiled innocently at her reaction, it was much like her reaction to some other dreams she had had in the past month. "Another dream?"

He kissed her tender lips, savoring the feeling of contact with the mare he loved. He still had a wedding to plan though...

Winterglade mumbled something intelligible when Fender said good morning. Even after all that sleeping, she still felt so tired. Her joints were sore all over. She returned the kiss as best as she could in current circumstances.  "Yeah... It's another dream," she muttered. She looked around her. The bed sheet was unexpectedly clean, considering what had happened here last night. She blushed.

"Am, yeah, just another dream," she grunted as she sat up on the bed and yawned. "Sometimes I hate my dreams, they love to show me the worst of things." An errant strand of mane fell to her face. Without even checking she knew that her mane was all over the place. She could totally use an hour or two in the bathroom. She sniffed. "Why did you wake up so early? Other than maybe visiting my mum, we don't really have any plan for today, right?"
