Will Diamond Tiara ever get character development?

Do you think she should rather than being an antagonist and bully to the Cutie Mark Crusaders. It's already unsettling enough that she may be borderline sociopathic claiming that she "doesn't care about anyone's feelings".

Do they desperately need to? Absolutely. Diamond Tiara has just become so boring and repetitive in her appearances and it would serve her well to give her some depth. But will they? I don't really think they will, because in all honesty, Diamond only really has one purpose in this show and to exist at all, to be a bully and cause the conflict in most of the CMC episodes and whilst I personally I hate that cliche, there's no denying that's the soul reason she's there and she does at least do a pretty good job at it, so I guess some could make the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it argument", though I personally think and many would agree that even "if it ain't broke, there's a chance you can still improve on it". But again, there's little chance they will and besides, there are a lot of characters that also need development and whilst DT certainly needs it, she's most likely low on the waiting list compared to others.

It would be most interesting to see a change in that character but not towards added antagonistic tendencies. Can she be reformed towards a better understanding of the CMC? Maybe a little tolerance spread around could do it.

I always figured that Diamond Tiara's sole purpose for existing was to annoy the CMC. But I agree that I'd love to see her get some character development.

 

The seeds are already there, such as her home life (her dad is shown to be a nice guy who is at odds with his daughter's bitchiness), any insecurities she might have, and her relationship with Silver Spoon (who I think has been hinted that she's not as evil as she tries to look). Maybe she can even learn to be nice?

 

It'd be great if we could get another CMC episode that really shows us more of DT and SS.

I think having an antagonist like her beihg reformed or at least having a turn in her friendship with Silver Spoon, would be another step for Diamond when it comes to her character.
