I think they are a little misunderstood, but I don't think they need any more love than any other filly does. If their parents really aren't around, then THEY should show them love. After all, that's a parent's job--to love and spend time with their chilren.

Although we don't know their actual age, you're right, we can assume they're very young. I like the idea that we don't know enough about them, because just like with Babs, she had a backstory and that changed her whole personality.
