@@Alex Kennedy,

((I like my word better. It's up there with tiddle.))

"Well, they're stupid. If you're going to play the game, play it right."

"And it's never too early to drink." Spark said, waving her hoof dismissively. "It's said the smarter you are the more likely you are to have an alcohol abuse problem."

((I don't know, tiddle set the bar pretty high.))

Emerald chuckled. "I guess I come from a whole family of geniuses, then. And I guess that means you must drink quite a bit yourself. Robots don't program themselves after all. Well, except maybe if you programmed them to program themselves. I'm thinking too hard, I need booze. Let's get going."

@@Alex Kennedy,

"Actually, I do. But I wouldn't program a robot to program a robot. It takes the individuality and intricacy out of the creation process. Like, Rernad doesn't stand for anything. It's his actual name. I would never make an exact copy of Rernad because he's supposed to be one of a kind. Get what I'm saying?"

Of course he doesn't get it.

Spark led Emerald out of her shop and started heading down the street to McAllisters.

@,

Emerald nodded as they walked along toward the pub. "Yeah, I think that basically makes sense. So your robots are kind of like people to you, then? You want to make sure they're all unique? I can definitely respect that. You turn your work into an art form that way."

So your robots are kind of like people to you

((There are no people))

Spark shrugged.

"I guess so. I've been working on one recently, I named him Swea. His purpose is to basically be similar to a cat/dog hybrid. Getting rid of rodents and guarding me while I sleep. The things that would be required of a living being."

Not to mention the companionship. But you claim that's not why you built it. You insist on making it practical.

((That you know of. Maybe Emerald knows something you don't. Or maybe I just messed up. The world may never know.))

Emerald nodded. "That sounds really cool. I'd love to see it when it's finished, assuming I'm still in town by then. I've always loved pets of all kinds."

@@Alex Kennedy,

((Well then fix it you silly goose. You might as well quack.))

"I'm building her so that I don't have to give her commands, too. She will just automatically perform her purpose."

Spark saw the pub alittle farther down the block.

"We're almost there." She said, and pointed her hoof towards the building.

((To do that would be to admit that I made a mistake. And as we both know, I'm perfect. So that can't possibly happen.))

Emerald nodded again, legitimately interested. "That would certainly save a lot of time on your end. Are rodents and security really that big of concerns for you, though? I just wouldn't have guessed, is all."

@@Alex Kennedy,

It's not because sometimes even I get lonely. It's purely for practical reasons.

"Well, rodents can chew through my wires and take my designs for their nests. And security is an issue for everypony, right?" Spark said, and walked into the pub and took her seat at the bar.

Emerald followed her into the pub and sat down next to her. "Honestly I would have expected you to have some sort of super advanced security system you invented yourself. Like, with laser cannons and stuff. I guess that might have been a little silly." He chuckled.

Emerald shrugged and ordered a double shot of whiskey. "Maybe they can't read body language, but there's a lot to be sad about the intimidation factor of a laser cannon." He chuckled. "So anyway, while we're on this date, we might as well try to get to know each other a bit better. Did you grow up here?"

Shortly after passing by Spark's store, Orion stopped his walking and decided to try out something he had never tried out before. He had no idea why he didn't of this sooner, but regardless, he didn't seem to care. He immediately began trotting back over to his shop's garage.

He found one of his latest Model E automobile prototypes, and decided that now, it was time to try it out for a test ride. He was planning on blowing everypony's minds today, and he really didn't care about what pony's thought about him anymore.

He took a seat and started the engine. And trying his best to be cautious, he drove his Model E out of the open garage and down the streets of Baltimare, toward's his hotel.

@@Alex Kennedy,

Spark shook her head.

"I grew up in Ponyville, but I moved to a bigger city because I figured there would be more business. I know you probably grew up about everywhere, so where are some of those places? And what place was your favorite?"

She smiled as the bartender brought her the pint, and placed Emerald's whiskey in front of him.

Emerald downed his whiskey in a single gulp. "I've been all over, yes, but I grew up more in Canterlot than anywhere else. I visited Ponyville a lot too. I remember it being a pretty nice place. Very peaceful. But I think my favorite place that I've travelled to is Stallionshire, where my dad grew up. The countryside is beautiful, and the ponies knew how to have fun better than anybody I'd ever met back in Canterlot or Ponyville."

@@Alex Kennedy,

Spark drank some of her beer before talking.

"So are you saying I don't know how to have fun? After all, I spent my childhood in Ponyville. I personally think I'm fun." Spark said with a smirk.

((Spark actually acts like a normal pony if you get enough alcohol in her))

((I practically forgot this RP existed. It's been a while.))

Emerald shook his head. "You're plenty of fun once you loosen up. Most ponies are. But the people there are always loosened up. And usually drunk, too. Being drunk generally tends to help. And according to you, it means they must be pretty smart, as well."

@,

Nuclear felt a bit better after somewhat patching up things with Icy.

She trotted over to Scribe, now feeling a bit skeptical of his general kindness but felt that it would be good to give him the benefit of the doubt.

"Anything you feel like doing?" she asked tentatively. She scratched the pavement with her hoof.

'I would really want to go take a quick nap...'

"It's... " Scribe mumbled. "Sorry. I didn't mean to make a scene."

He looked at the excitable pony, now shuffling her hoof awkwardly.

'Thats your fault, idiot.' His mind reminded him.

"I get... kind of protective like that sometimes. You go ahead, I'll see you around." He said, turning back towards the centre of town. "Uh, it was great hanging out. Before this. Just thought I'd say."

He wasn't exactly a master of communication.

Orion was driving along the streets of the town, careless of what other ponies around him thought. He was planning on arriving at his hotel, to simply relax from all he had been through today. Especially the drama, oh the drama. Orion hated drama with a deep passion, he'd either remain quiet in the midst of it, or just walk away.

Orion tried to ignore and push aside the experience as he continued on driving. He then noticed his old friend Scribes, walking to where it seemed like the town center. He decided to turn around and go see how he was doing.

He parked his Model E alongside one of the nearby shops and trotted towards him.

"Hey Scribes, just thought I'd come by and see how your doing. How's it going?" Orion asked, looking at him attentively.

Scribe tried to act inconspicuous as Orion approached, but a white unicorn wandering around dressed like he did wasn't exactly difficult to notice. He was painfully aware of this fact as he halfheartedly waved a hoof at his friend.

"Oh, hey Orion. I'm fine, just, uh, heading over here. Sorry about earlier. Won't happen again." He said.

Who was he trying to fool? He wasn't made for socialising: for polite conduct and sharp words hidden behind smiles. This wasn't the place for him - he preferred his solitude, his home, his friends. Orion had been a good friend, and he didn't want to drag him down as well.

@,

Nuclear tried to smile before saying goodbye and turning away from Scribe.

She trotted away, making sure she was a distance away from Scribe before letting out a sigh.

"Nice going, you neurotic numb nuts.." she grumbled, slowing her pace some.

She wanted to take a nap but part of her wanted to continue exploring the city.

@,

Orion smiled back at him, slightly, he sense a bit of unease coming from Scribes. Orion assumed that he's been having a hard time lately. He wish he could help Scribes out, but he was not sure how to approach him about it exactly. Giving Scribes a brief but careful glance, he could already tell a whole bunch on what his issue was.

"Your having a rough time fitting in with this city, aren't ya?" Orion asked. "Look, I know you like to be alone, a lot, but you haven't been back at the hotel I offered ya for almost an entire day now. Come on bud, talk to me about it. I'll leave you alone if you tell me what your problem is.."

Orion had a really good idea on what Scribe's problem was, but he wanted to hear it. If Orion knew something on socializing and interaction, it was that communication was always the best resolution to any conflict.

"I'm fine, I just..." Scribe stalled: lost for exactly what to say. It was a fairly common event.

"I can't help it: I see somepony in trouble and I just... Even really trivial things I can't just watch them happen, can't let them play out without doing something."

He kicked out at air and almost fell over himself.

"Which was useful, in the Crystal Mountains - my friends needed protecting. Useful in the Everfree for the same reason. Here though? Less useful."

Pausing to take a breath, he steadied his voice as best he could.

"I barely know either of them and I'm causing problems for them both already - I've only been here what, a day and a half? You should probably go: you're a good guy and I don't want to drag your name down with me."

Icy sat alone in Regal's store working on a new small image sculpture. She took her time working the wings of the pony. Although she could redo it in stone or wood, she hated working wood and stone. She chipped off to much from the wing.

"Dang it!"She through it away. she didn't feel like working on her sculptures anymore. "I can't work like this" she said scratching her head.

"Maybe I should go find Nuclear" she said to herself. "or maybe Orion?"

"Or maybe find a Lover?" Said Regal as he flourished into the room holding a rapier in his mouth.

"I hope you cut yourself with that" She said coldly.

"Learn to be more romantic in your life, my little cold one" She gave him a look and smiled.

You're an idiot" she gathered her stuff and headed out again.
