"It's nice to meet you Star." Blaze glanced over her quickly. She was cute in a nerdy sort of way. Blaze didn't really care. He needed to learn more any mare he talked to before he would think of fancying them. He overheard what Pelate had said. "Why would these drinks be bad?" he asked quietly.

I turn around not trying to look weird and I whispered so no pony could hear "he never bought them, he just walked out of the bathroom and had them, and it just so happened to be after he explained how he lost some friends or something...then he left for another bathroom and came out with drinks in his hooves..." I became more sure that he did something to the beverages, and I had become more worried.

Blaze tugged his cloth. What he had just heard was... weird to say the least. "Oh, um. that's a little weird... What do you think he did?" Blaze thought about what he could've done. Blaze knew a lot about chemical reactions, but had no idea what Whirl Wake could've done. He guessed something to do with soap.

Starry shook her head in disgust at the drinks.

 

"The thought what he did with them or how he got them makes me feel sick..."

 

She spoke quietly to the two. Starry didn't want ponies to hear their conversation. She smiled, what if he got the drinks from the toilet? Starry almost started laughing but stayed quiet.

Blaze thought for a moment. "You know what," he said suddenly, "I'm gonna go check out more of this school. I uh, wasn't really thirsty anyway." Blaze gave the ponies near him a look that said, I'm giving you a chance to not get caught up in this. He hoped they got the message.

"I think I'll join you!" Light Eye stood up and followed Blaze. "You seem very... hot." Rather than as a compliment, it was phrased as a pun, but it was what it was. "C'mon flame boy. Let's start with the infirmary so that we can see where you are definitely going to end up several times this year for the purpose of burn treatments."

Starry nodded to Blaze, she knew what it meant. Her parents used to do that sort of thing too.

 

"I'll go with you, I haven't seen much since I've gotten here and it might help me get used to the school!"

 

She wasn't lying when she said that. She was still nervous about the whole school and she may be able to get used to it if she checked it out.

Blaze nodded at the two ponies and chuckled at Light's compliment. "Well we do have science class. Maybe I'll accidentally cause a chemical reaction that creates an explosion. Anyways we might as well head to the infirmary." He thought Light was pretty, but didn't like how she seemed to flirt with everypony. He didn't know either pony very well at all, but he was definitely taking more of a liking towards Star.

"Hello, I don't believe we've met!" Light said the other mare. "My name is Light Eye. What's your name? What are you here to learn? I like your glasses." Light Eye was full of energy, and trotted along merrily, happy to make new friends and to be doing something fun.

I looked at the others, I get up with Star "ok, I'll go, but if the drinks are bad, what about the other ponies?"

I felt a little bad for the ponies sitting at the table, if the drnk was poison or something they'd suffer from a stupid and elaborate scheme. (Guess were in the halls) i look at Star "well, I guess those ponies will have to figure out the drinks em selves." I look at the othet two. "So what's your names, I believe we never met" (blaze and Light Eye) "I'm Pelate Overcast, is nice to meet your acuatance" I greet myself to the two.

She trotted along with the three glad that Pelate tagged along. Light Eye was full of energy and Blaze... She didn't trust enough to be in the same room with alone yet... Ah well, he seemed nice enough.

Starry didn't really smile now. Her Cutie Mark wasn't as cool as other ponies either, it was just some book with a question mark on it. She stayed quiet for a little while after that.

I heard birth defect and my eyes dilated "I was born with a problem too, see my wing" I show him my angled wing. "I can't fly well without breaking it, doctor says I can only fly for emergencies." I look at his ear "at least your ear looks cool heh, I stick out as a cripple" I hear that the ponies are telling their talents "and well sense I can't fly, I just hang on the ground. I guess we're talking about our talents so I'll tell you that for a lighter subject. I usually draw, sketch, landscape, etcetera. Don't know if its that fantastic, but it became a hobby and then my cutie mark, but the wings on it don't seem to make sense to me, because I can't fly..." I look at my cutie mark, it was four pencils, a star and wings. I really didn't understand why the wings where there, I can't fly, what do they mean? "Any theory's?"

Light seemed to definitely be all over the place, so there was no point in even thinking of fancying her.

Starry giggled. They were cute but she didn't want them to know that.

I made a touched smile, there was something about this mare I really liked, but I had nothing in specific. "Thanks Star that's a good thought to keep in my mind, but, I Shute do wish I could fly with the other Pegasi, it would be a dream come true..." I look at Star with a smile "I may have put some things behind me but the things in my head always catch up and haunt me" i hear in my mind *broken, cripp, useless, flightless, defective...* I look back forward "defective, they called me. I could never get passed that word, just something about it just bites at me..."

"Yea I like my ear to be completely honest. I just hate when people make fun of me. SO when just about everypony started making fun of me, I got myself kicked out of the school. And that's how I ended up here!" Blaze looked at his own wings. He was a decent flyer for somepony who rarely used his wings. When he did use them it was mostly because he was too lazy to walk.

She ignored Light. Starry hardly ever used her magic. She only used it to carry things or to flip pages on her book, but other then that she was practically an earth pony.

 

"Why would ponies make fun of two nice looking stallions like yourselves? Well, er that's what other mares think anyways."

 

Buck! She shouldn't of said that! Starry blushed and pushed her geeky glasses back up to her face. She looked really cute though.

Blaze liked how this mare was thinking. "Cuz some ponies are complete idiots. I can see that you're far from that level of stupidity though." He gave her a smug grin. What he said he truly believed. All the ponies who had teased him were all complete idiots, But he saw now that ponies here were nice and accepting. He nearly laughed out loud when Light tried to save Star form embarrassment. It wasn't like he cared if Star that he was attractive. He rather liked the idea.

Starry couldn't help herself, after what Light said she started giggling.

She mouthed Light a thank you. She had just saved Starry's flank! However, what she had said was quite humorous!  She looked over the stallions and started giggling again.

Blaze smiled to himself at the sound of Star's giggling. He thought it was incredibly adorable. He no longer was in the mood to check out the infirmary. "Hey guys do you want to go to the library instead? I think if I ever need to go to the nurse, which I reluctantly admit will probably happen, either someone can drag me there or I can just follow the signs, depending on how bad I am. Plus I want to quiz myself on chemical reactions. I feel like I'm getting a little rusty. By the way rust is caused when any iron mass has a prolonged exposure to oxygen and water. Guess I don't need to quiz myself on that."
