Can anyone here relate to this problem?

Okay so I have been starting to realize that  I give up on groups or activities very easily. Just a few months ago I got accepted on an acting and modeling agency (I am a guy) and It went pretty well. The first few classes I got to work with a bunch of beautiful girls (and a few guys which I hated because it meant that there was more competition for me). We were just practicing on our posture, how to walk on a runaway, how to talk during an interview, and a few classes about health and exercise.

Every Saturday I had to wake up early and go to their building to start practicing but a few weeks later I decided not to go anymore. Its not that I didn't like it or anything but I just gave up. after a few weeks of not attending the class and canceling, the agency called me back and automatically proposed a contract, and said that they wanted me. I was too stupid and decided not to accept it, I think it was a big mistake.

I also tried out for basketball classes a while back, and I didn't even show up for the first class. Heck... if school was a voluntarily thing.. I think I would of given up already. Does anyone here have any problems like these? You commit yourself to an activity or group but always end up leaving?

It looked like you were pretty neutral toward the acting and modeling group aside from not liking the guys because they were competition, which I think could have played into your negative reception toward the group but I'm just theorizing. What is it that made you leave? I normally find that I leave if it inconveniences me in some way or simply doesn't satisfy me the way I expected it to. I tried tons of martial arts taster sessions in the past and I developed a lot of knowledge on it, but doing it just never really seemed to satisfy me the way other sports did, particularly lifting and swimming.

I liked it, I found it to be quite interesting. The only thing is that I found having to to the school every Saturday and having to wake up early a bother. I normally don't like to do the same thing over and over again, I find myself quitting after a while. I tried writing things on my journal everyday... last time I wrote on it was last year, and I haven't written anything new since then. I also gave karate a try but I gave up on that too.

I can relate to the topic very well. I have a lot of trouble committing to just about everything. I'll put hours and hours into doing something and then one day I can't be bothered. I've got a lot of great unfinished work that's "collecting dust" so to speak. I just have to make sure I get something done in a week or so before I get bored with it haha.

I can relate to not finding things interesting anymore when you're doing the same after a while. Part of the reason I never actually took the commitment to any martial arts classes is because of the technicalities involved. I personally don't like that aspect the way others would do perhaps. I want to get a feel of how much progress I'm making myself rather than always having that sense of uncertainty, which is why I can stick to some things but not others.
