He held the tiny grain up and looked at it closer. * i knew, that these plants wouldnt be able to grow here without a fertilizer of some sort.* He took one of the glass tubes out of the first aid kit and put the grain into it. He got on the ground and searched for more. After roughly 30 minutes of intensive search he had filled the glass tube with white grains. He blocked the opening of the glass tube and put it aside. He took out another test tube and filled it with gras. He picked up the other glass tube and put both glass tubes into his backpack. * This may come in handy * he thought to himself and took a drink from his canteen. This reminded him of what should have been his primary objective: finding water. He put on his saddlebag and went towards some more hill based terrain. He should be able to find water there.

Zephyr decided to stay in the cave. Pony might want to lure me out or something... Wait! The voice sounds familiar...

 

" Are you that red pony?" Zephyr called out. " I'm the one who sat opposite of you on the plane, and we got the same score. Remember?"

Redstorm raised a brow and lowered his weapon.

"Oh yeah... sorry about that. Didn't see you there. Wanna team up? I was looking for some water and I found this cave thingy..."

He pinched his eyes and stepped back into the cave. Zephyr was now somewhat more visible to him.

Josh was sitting In the tree where he heard zephyr and redstorm talking. He carefully made his way through the tree tops knife in hand "please don't let this end bad" he whispered to himself as a beach broke and he fell to the ground near them with a loud thump

Suddenly he heard a lout thump to his right. Twisted dropped to the ground, took out a dagger and got to cover. He was inside of a bush now and virtually impossible to see. He saw a blue pony on the ground, whith a knife in his hand. Twisted felt his arm twitch a little * KILL HIM. MURDER HIM IN COLD BLOOD* his mind screamed. Twisted kept still, but readied a throwing knive. He felt how his sanity began to slowly drain itself. * i will wait, till hes gone and then get the fuck away* * KILL HIM!!!!*

Josh slowly got up knife in arm "seems we have a choice kill each other or not kill each other for now I have medical experience i'm herbs and can survive in the forest. Josh gripped his knife tightly and gulper hoping this would end well."a trillion of there could work we'll"

Zephyr sighed. " Sure, let's team up. We'll stand a better chance that way." I hope that I don't have to kill him. It's better if sickness or something claims him instead. 

 

When Zephyr heard the thump of a fallen pony, he stayed as quiet as he could. He then heard the pony start to speak to them. Shit, he knows that we're here. He then turned around slowly to look at the pony. It's the guy who tried to talk to me. Zephyr looked at Redstorm from the corner of his eye to see the reaction.

Redstorm smirked and shook Zephyr's hoof. A loud thump wiped off Red's smirk.

A blue pony had landed near the cave.

He pulled out his sword again.

"I suppose that knife isn't for good, eh?"

He started slowly going towards the pony, swinging his sword in circles.

"That medical experience will be much more useful to you after I'm finished!"

Redstorm took a swing at Josh.

"that aint the response i hoped for" Josh kept himself low to avoid his sword he shook a little realizing the situation he had stupidly walked into "why not have a nap"  He jumped up like a spring with a punch which was aimed for redstorms head  hoping it could knock him out

Redstorm got hit, but the punch wasn't enough to knock him out.

"Oh you wanna do it this way?"

He grabbed Josh by the shoulders and flew up as high as the sensors in his wings would allow him. It was a short drop, but it would atleast do some damage.

"Almost forgot!"

He kicked Josh's wings pretty hard, then watched him fall to the stoney ground.

"no no no no no no no!!" Josh shouted as he fell "not good" He clutched his wings in pain as he fell. He hit a branch on the way down but it didnt help he landed awkwardly on his leg and dropped the knife that went into his rear leg. "dammit" Josh immediately started to run from view leaving droplets of blood behind him

(Oh crap, I didn't realize this started! Sorry guys...If it's not too late, I suppose I'll still do this.)

 

Noriko wandered around the forests, hearing other ponies fighitng in the distance. She tried to look for Josh, as he was from the same district from her. She hid in a bush, and looked around. There he was! She saw him fighting another pony. She really wasn't one for fighitng, so she hid quietly, and watched. Noriko saw Josh running away, injured. She followed the droplets of blood he left behind, to try to find him.

Twisted noticed another pony getting into the safety of one of the many bushes in the area. Her hideout was roughly 70 metres from his position. He quickly checked, how thick the leaves were on that side of his bush and was relieved to notice, that he was realistically impossible to spot from every side. He took out the two glass tubes he had prepared before and mixed their content into two bigger ones. He was now in possession of two Handgrenades made out of the KNO3 in the fertilizer and the coal he had picked up from the ground before. If lit this would give everyone around it a very unpleasent shower of shrapnell caused by the very explosive reaction between those two chemicals. he stuck an unlit match in the top of each glass tube and secured it with some grass. He readied himself to light and throw them if nessesary. There were to many ponies in the area not to be prepared for anything. * THROW THEM!! THROW THE GRENADES AND KILL THEM ALL!* His mind screamed and Twisted was barely unable to resist the urge to do so.

" Well, you owned his butt. Any injuries? I know basic first aid." Zephyr watched Josh run away. I doubt that he's going to last for too long... He then noticed another pony going after Josh. I think that's the one from his district... She's probably going to help him.

Josh stopped in the forest and looked around hearing footsteps he sighed realising he would need more time to craft herbs together to have a chance in this game "come on then" he said sounding defeated "im gonna take you with me to the dead" He was shocked to see Noriko

Redstorm sat down.

"I've got a plan. The games have been on for a few hours. Why don't we go to the middle, get you a weapon. Also some food. I doubt We're gonna last long on cookies and water here..."

" True... Well, I have biscuits, if that helps." Zephyr smiled. " But afterwards, we're going to have to find another place to settle down. That guy knows this place now, and might come back for revenge. I hope the careers are somewhere else right now, or else we probably wouldn't stand a chance."

Twisted couldnt resist his madness anymore. He felt spit running down the sides of his mouth. Without him really noticing it he lit and threw one of the grenades into the cave and flew away as fast as he could. He heard an explosion. He didnt stop. He flew and flew for roughly 10 minutes. He landed and immidiately got into another thick bush and listened. Noone had followed him. It would have surprised him. His attack had come out of nowhere for those two ponies. He lied down and slowly felt his insanity vanish again. " What have i done?" Twisted muttered to himself.

 

EDIT: (( @@RedStorm, @@LittleRawr : info about shrapnell. When an explosive goes off inside of a shell the shell naturally fragments and travels at horrifiyng speed EVERYWHERE. This death-bringing-fast-flying-everywhere-going shower of death is what makes handgrenades such a feared weapon. In the case of my grenade, the shrapnell consists of glass and some tiny stones from the ground))

Redstorm sighed.

"The goddamn careers... they probably killed all of the tributes that stood in their way and are now camping at the center..."

He spotted some berries.

"Berries... are these poisonous? Because they seem like blackberries to m-"

The grenade that Twisted threw went off near him.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!? WAR OR THE HUNGER GAMES!?"

He had sharpnell (I don't really know what it is, but I presume it's like flint?) stuck in his shoulder.

Redstorm hobbled outside. Nopony was there.

"GET THE HELL BACK HERE!"

No response.

Redstorm went back into the cave to check on Zephyr.

"You okay?"

" Yeah, I learned about them in-" Zephyr was cut off when the bomb exploded. Since he had been standing near the wall, the explosion threw him onto it.

 

 

 

"You okay?"

 

Zephyr winced. " Mostly." Bruises were forming on his spine, clearly visible because of the white on his coat.

"You should um... just... your back... whatever. Look. A stranger just threw a grenade at us. We're gonna get him."

Redstorm followed the obvious traks that the attacker had left. After about 5 minutes, the tracks lead to Twisted.

"Hey Twisted! Glad to see you alive... we nearly got killed. The track- Wait. No way... no! WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU DO THAT!? WE NEARLY DIED!"

He pulled out his sword.

"I THOUGHT YOU WERE A FRIEND OF OURS!"

A tear rolled down his eye.

"I CAN'T EVEN DO IT! I DON'T KILL FRIENDS!"

He threw his sword in the bushes and he sat down, rubbing his head with both of his hooves.

Twisted heard some voices, but he didnt care. Twisted heard some screaming, but he didnt care. Twisted heard something hit the ground, but he didnt care. He didnt want to open his eyes. He didnt feel sad for those two ponies back there or anything. He was just giggingl while rocking back and forth. He felt how the nicely warm feeling of insanity comforted him. He giggled again. After all, he had just thrown a grenade at someponies, that didnt expect anything bad. For some reason he found that extremely funny. He giggled more and eyed his other grenade. " You will kill somepony for me, ok?" he asked it and giggled again. (( for some reason i find writing in the perspective of a bat-shit insane character really relaxing. Should i be worried? ))

Right as the countdown ended,Sparky ran past the saddlebags,grabbing one of them and beelined to the cornucopia and quickly grabbed a couple small knives,he then saw Redstorm and chased after him,but Redstorm ended up outrunning him,so he wandered through the forest,looking for him,until he heard a nearby explosion and made his way to the sound of the explosion.

Redstorm looked at the giggling pony.

"You're insane..."

He smacked Twisted in the face.

"Wake up! You're not the guy that I remember!"

He did it again.

"You're starting to creep me out... what the hell are you holding?"

Twisted felt something on his numb face. * wait what? * He heard someone whisper:" Wake up!" * hmmmm " wake up!" what could this mean? Why should i wake up? After all, I am perfectly awake.* Twisted felt something hitting his face a lot clearer this time. All of a sudden the "Wake up!" made  a whole lot more sense. The comfortable warmth went away and was replaced by cold clearness. Twisted opened his eyes in shock only to see Redstorm looking at him with a not less shocked face. The red pony had a glass shard in one of his shoulders. All of a sudden Twisted remembered what had happened. " HOOOLLLYYY SHIIIT!" he exclaimed.
