Twilight saw them, she had a magical lock on her horn, she couldn't do anything.

"Come over here, help me, unlock this door, all the guards carry a key on them." Twilight looked around.. "Where's MIssy? What happened to her? Is she dead?" Twilight was panicking now, she didn't know what was going on.

Caramel looked at her sternly. "You need to go back in time. You need to fix all this. Everyones dead, you HAVE to fix this" She said, her voice more desperation than anything. It only dawned on her then that her sister might be dead forever if Twilight couldnt pull this off

"Only another unicorn can take off a magic lock, quick, I can hear them coming." Twilight said. "Quick, get this off of my horn."

Twilight looked around to see a stallion shoot Zeta in the head, killing him. "Stephan, buy us some time, hold them off, come on Caramel, you have to do this."

Ghost could hear noises coming from upstairs. It was obvious that the bandits knew where they were and they were coming for them.

"Twilight, Caramel, you two go to the final room and activate the spell... my time has come." He armed his guns up into the air, preparing for the worst. As the girls went to a safe room, the bandits surrounded Ghost, ready to shoot.

"They say that you either die a hero, or see yourself live long enough to become the villain. Today, I will die a hero..." The bandits began to bombard Ghost with bullets, as did Ghost do with the bandits.

Caramel looked panicked. "I.. i'll try" She said before using her magic to unlock her horn. She tried once, it fizzled out. She tried again, it fizzled out again. Finally after her third try she had managed to unlock it, but Caramel was so exhausted she couldnt even get up. "Please hurry, we wont last much longer" She said in a barely audible mumble

Twilight didn't know if she could remember the time spell, it had been so long since she used it last time.

She charged her horn, she disappeared with a flash just as bandits poured into the room.

 

-On that fateful day-

 

Twilight appeared within the prison cell, but it was unlocked she ran, she ran through the base and found the bandit leader, clearly surprised to see her, she jumped at him and knocked him unconcious on the floor.

"Stephan, don't ask questions, just blow up the reactor!" Twilight ran outside to free her other self, who wasn't as surprised to see her.

As Twilight disappeared she looked back at the bandits flooding the room. She simply smiled and said "Your too late, everythings going to be as it was" she said with a smirk before a bandit pointed a pistol at her head and shot, Caramel falling to the ground.

"How... nevermind. We were gonna blow it up anyways" Stephan and the now alive Light Streak threw the bundle of dynamite into the reactor.

"Everypony, run! This place is gonna blow!" Light shouted. The three began to run out of the base. Stephan grabbed onto Twilight to help her speed up.

Again, everything froze, the time-line was being diverted back to normal, the universe was being re-written

 

Fire woke up at his desk in Ponyville, it was an hour before the bandits attacked.

 

Starburst woke up suddenly, he looked around, Caramel was right next to him, still asleep.

He looked into her closed eyes and kissed her on the nose.

 

Missy woke up at Twilight's house, in the library, the two had done a massive reading session the previous night, so she was pretty tired.

"Twilight!" Missy yelled. Twilight lifted her head.

"Missy. You're back. We're back, I fixed it." Twilight yelled.

Grand awoke in her room. She rubbed her head tiredly. She realized she was alive. She ran to the mirror to see her healthy self in the mirror. She laughed and spun around, ecstatic to be alive.

 

Caramel blinked her eyes open to see Starburst, alive and healthy. Her eyes welled up with tears at the sight of him. "Starburst your alive!" She shrieked, hugging him and burying her face into his neck. "I was so scared you were gone forever" She said between happy tears

Rainbow Dash flew into the town hall.

"Is everything okay?" Dash asked.

"Yes, but we've got work to do, not for winter, that can wait, check the perimeter of the town for explosives, there will be 4 bombs round there. Dash looked hesitant but did it anyway.

 

Starburst teared up as well. He put his hooves around her.

"Love you, I do, so much more than you could realise." Starburst said. "You might think it was because I was dying, but I actually meant it, I love you."

Stephan woke up in his house on the couch to see Light Streak still alive.

"Dude! You're alive!" Stephan exclaimed.

Light raised an eyebrow. "Of course I'm alive. Why wouldn't I be?" Stephan was about to answer that, but he decided to drop it.

"Forget it. It's not important." Stephan laughed.

"Whatever. Anyways, I have a research trip to go on, so I'll be back in a week or so." Light walked outside and Stephan waved. He then ran to Grand's place and knocked on her door.

Caramel smiled and wipeh her eyes before nuzzling into him even more. "I love you too. I really do" She said with a sniffle. "You arent allowed to ever die again, twice is way too many already" She said with a laugh.

 

Grand came running downstairs squealing as she ran out of the house and down the street, incredibly happy that everything was back to normal. The first thing she did was go to the hospital and up to the lead doctor. "Yes, I know you now have plenty of doctors and nurses, so I hope you dont mind my resignation from my position as doctor. I cant stand to spend another day in a hospital"

The doctor looked at her funnily but nodded anyways.

 

She smiled and turned around to see Stephan looking a little dazed. "oh, terribly sorry. I didnt see you, but we are alive! we are alive and its wonderful!"

The town was now getting prepared for battle, the bandits were expected now, Rainbow Dash and her team found the explosives and disarmed them.

 

Starburst was so happy to see her, he forgot his self-confidence issues and started kissing her, passionately, then he stopped.

"Sorry, I.....don't know what came over me....." Starburst said embarassed.

"I'll say. When you were running down to the hospital, you were running so fast that you could put me and Rainbow Dash to shade." He said, snickering at his own joke. "Anyways, I don't see anything going wrong today. Shall we go?" he asked, holding out his hoof.

Caramel just giggled at him blushing and pulled him in, kissing him back with just the same amount of passion

 

Grand blushed a bit at her excitement to leave the hospital. "yes, well Ill be happy to never go in another hospital again. Lets go then, shall we?" She said with a sheepish smile

Stephan took Grand's hoof and the two began walking through the town. As they were walking, Stephan saw Rainbow Dash and an army of ponies waiting at the wall, awaiting the bandits' arrival.

"Should I go help them with the bandits real quick?" He asked with a slightly embarrassed smile.

Grand smiled. "It shouldnt take long, lets go help out. I want to make those bandits feel every ounce of pain they deserve whether they did it or not" She said angrily as she walked up to Firehorn. "Do you need a hoof? These bandits arent going to set a hoof into Ponyville without being torn to shreds"

Starburst was taken by surprise with Caramel's sudden kiss, he wasn't expecting it.

 

"Just be careful, the bandits are still dangerous and I don't want either of you getting hurt." Fire said.

 

Missy hugged Twilight.

"I'm still alive, you're the greatest alicorn that's ever existed, you saved my friends and me, I'll always be grateful for that." Missy said.

"What about when I took you in all those years ago." Twilight said, raising ehr eyebrows.

"OK then, I owe you even more." Missy laughed.

Stephan got his game face on and stood next to Rainbow Dash.

"Let's make sure these guys wish they never even considered coming here." Stephan said with a devilish smirk.

Rainbow Dash laughed a little. "Whatever you say, crazy" Stephan was no longer armed with anything, but that wouldn't stop him. He planned to throw hooves of fury into the bandits' faces.

Caramel pulled away and giggled at Starbursts reaction. She stood up and stretched, glad to be healthy and on her own hooves again.

 

Grand smiled and stomped her hooves. "I will take much pleasure in bludgeoning these monsters for a second time" She said as she got her magic ready and warmed up

-A couple of hours later-

 

(They beat the hell out of the bandits and took no prisoners.)

 

Starburst was with Caramel in the kitchen again, only this time, they were making decent cupcakes.

"These aren't too bad, for one thing they aren't charred black." Starburst said, laughing.

Missy was watching them, by Grand's orders, she didn't want them messing up again.

 

Fire was with Twilight in the town hall, making final preperations for winter.

"OK, how are we on food?" Fire asked.

"Full." Twilight replied.
"Water. Clean Water?" Fire asked.

"Yes, enough for the whole town." Twilight replied again.

"Town perimeter?" Fire asked further.

"Secure and no signs of intrusion or possible entries." Twilight said, impressed with herself.

"Twilight Sparkle, you are by far the best assistant I could ever need." Fire said.

Caramel smiled and took a bite. "yes, these are definitely the best ones we've made so far. I think we pass the cupcake test. Now what should we bake next..." She said as she took out a cookbook Grand had picked up for them from the library. "Oooh, we could try some pies!" She said excitedly, showing Starburst the picture

Stephan and Grand were sitting in Sugarcube Corner, eating cake, drinking coffee, and laughing.

"Oh my gosh, did you see how easily they went down? They're not so high and mighty without anything that explodes." Stephan said in a mocking matter. He took a deep breath and changed the subject. "So, Grand, now that you aren't a doctor anymore, are you going to start being an actress again?" He asked.

Grand tapped her cup. "Well, that would be nice but I doubt Ponyville needs actors in times like this. Perhaps I'll help with rebuilding or something like that" She said as she thought about how she was to earn bits. All she knew was that she refused to go back to the hospital. "I'll talk to Fire, I'm sure he'll have something for me to do"
