"But the thing is, I don't want to split Starburst away from Caramel, and even then, if Caramel came with us, I wouldn't want to take her away from Grand." Fire said. "It's just so complicated, but there's nothing really for me, in this town anymore."

 

When they reached her house, it seemed that she couldn't reach it, because she couldn't fly.

"Um, until I'm better, do you think your friend, Grand, would mind if I stay there for a few days?" Dash asked.

"Well, Fire, you can do what you think is right for yourself and everypony, but I can promise you one thing; until Ponyville is fully rebuilt, Stephan is mostly likely not going to leave." Light assured. "He's lived in this small town ever since he fell into Equestria. However, I understand where you're coming from. You don't want to ruin something for another pony just to make things better for yourself." 

 

"Well, actually, my house got rebuilt a couple of days ago. I've just been spending time at Grand's place because that's usually where everypony meets up." Stephan said. "I'm sure that there's plenty of room at my place if you wanna bunk there instead."

"Thank you, Stephan, I shouldn't have to stay with you for very long." Dash said, as they started walking away she nuzzled his neck. "I'm really glad you came to get me today, all I had was faith that you would come and take me away from that place."

 

"Well, I'd miss all of you if I left Ponyville, especially Stephan, he's my best friend in Equestria and I don't want to upset anypony, but it's in my best interests to just leave for a while."

"If you tell Stephan, I'm sure he'll understand. He might be taking a vacation back to Earth, anyhow." He said with a smile. "Just do whatever you think is right, and we'll support you."

 

"Oh, it's really no trouble, Dash." Stephan assured her, laughing a bit at her nuzzling his neck."You can stay with me as long as you need to."

Dash only smiled and kissed him, then leaning her head into him while he lead her to his house, closing her eyes, she eventually fell asleep while walking.

 

"I think I need a drink, I need time to think. Feel like coming with me?" Fire asked. "You don't have to have anything I just like the company."

Light nodded.

"Sure, I'll go with you." He said. "C'mon, Fire. Let's go get drunk" He said in a joking matter.

 

Stephan noticed that Rainbow Dash had fallen asleep on him. He smiled and put the mare on his back. When they got to his place, Stephan put Rainbow Dash on the couch and he sat in his armchair.

Once Fire and Light reached the bar, Fire sat down at the bar.

"Scotch on the rocks please. What are you having?" Fire asked Light.

 

Dash shuffled in her sleep, smiling while doing so, but then she started feeling uneasy, and awoke with a start.

"Stephan?" Dash looked around panicked, but noticed him sitting a little bit away from her. "Did I fall asleep?"

"Eh, I'll just have some cherry whiskey. It's what Stephan usually gets." Light said. "I've tried beer before, anyways. I'd rather drink wet mud."

 

Stephan turned his head over to Rainbow Dash and smiled at her. "On the way here, yes." He told her. "Are you feeling alright? You seemed uneasy while you slept."

"I hear you." Fire said. "I just stick with scotch, I like a scotch that's old enough to order it's own scotch." The drink arrived and Fire took it all down in one gulp.

 

"It's nothing, really it's nothing." Dash said, trying to clear the nightmare from her mind. "So, any chance of you scooting on over here and giving this cold pegasus a cuddle?" Dash joked.

The shots of cherry whiskey arrived and Light began drinking them one at a time. Like Stephan, he wasn't a big drinker, so the beverages really went into the system.

Stephan smiled. "Of course, my little Dashie." Stephan lied down on the couch next to Rainbow Dash and snuggled with her.

"At this rate you're gonna be passed out before I'm even halfway to being drunk." Fire said as he downed another. He was a bit of a heavy drinker, so this was usual for him.

 

"Excuse me, I'm not your "little dashie"." Dash said, but started giggling a little and blushing, then clearing her throat, then looking into his eyes. "Your eyes look like emeralds, have I ever mentioned that?"

"Well, look at you, Fire..." Light said, a little loopy. "You're guzzling down those things like Berry Punch, and she brushes her teeth with that stuff!"

 

"Yeah, I guess they do look like emeralds, like the way yours looks like rubies." He said with a slight laugh, leaning in closer.

"You know, I consider Murphy's law for everything in my life, every situation. And it turns out to be right as well." Fire said, gulping down another one, but then putting his hooves together. "I'm gonna leave Ponyville, but you can't tell anypony about this."

 

Dash was lost in his eyes, they were.....they were........before she knew it she had her hooves around his neck, kissing him.

"But... why not?" Light asked. "What about Stephan... don't you think he'd be at least a little bit worried for your sake? He might come looking for you to make sure you're okay..."

 

Stephan was surprised at how quickly Dash made that move. Though, he just went with it and continued letting her kiss him.

"I just have to figure out what I need to do with my life, and it's best if I be alone for that to happen." Fire said, slightly drunk now. "You hear a lot about journey's to find yourself, well that's kind of what I need to do."

 

Dash stoppeed for a few seconds.

"Sorry, I was just........" Dash felt embarassed. "I'm sorry, despite playing things cool most of the time, I've never really had an intimate relationship with anypony."

Grand put away the groceries and figured she would go get a drink, seeing as she hasnt done anything for herself in awhile. She walked outside and headed to the nearest pub.

 

Caramel was confused and just sat on the couch because I need to fill up these characters

"Whatever. You're probably just too drunk..." Light turned around when he heard the door open. "Oh, hey, Grand! How are things...?" He asked her.

 

Stephan looked into Rainbow Dash's eyes for a moment and returned the kiss, this time for about seven seconds.

"Neither have I." He said in a cool tone.

"Granday, how are things shaking?" Fire asked, having another drink. "Me and Light here were just talkin' 'bout some things." Fire blinked a few times.

 

"I guess there's a first time for everything huh?" Dash asked before leaning in and resting her head on Stephan. For the first time in years, she was truly happy.

(I'm gonna leave Dash to sleep right now.)

"Oh, hello boys, I didnt know you were here. How are you doing?" SHe said, taking a seat next to them and getting a glass of wine. "I just thought I would have a bit of a treat while I had the time" She said with a smile, taking a sip and noticing Fire being quite drunk

Stephan smiled and took Dash into the bedroom and covered her up under the blankets. It was getting a bit late, so he decided to just turn in for the night.

 

"Ah, we're doing okay..." Light remarked, getting more loopy. "I don't know about Fire over here, though... he's had quite a few drinks of scotch."

Fire coughed.

"I've only had like........4 drinks." Fire said. "And anyway, it's not too early to get drunk, at least not by my standards anyway."

 

Starburst sat down next to Caramel.

"Are you alright, you seem kind of, distracted." Starburst asked.

"Well its nice to see you letting loose, your normally so uptight" She giggled, sipping on her wine casually

 

Caramel smiled. "No, not at all. I was just resting, todays been pretty crazy, but then again, when do we have a day that isnt?" She said, slumping on the couch

"Today has been hectic, you know, what happened earlier." Starburst said. "It's late, and I'm tired, so I'm going to bed, I'll see you in there." Starburst smiled and kissed her.

 

"I'm actually trying really hard not to punch something right now, I've be....." Fire began but remembered something and kept silent after that.

Light stopped drinking his whiskey for a moment and put a hoof on his head. He then turned to Grand.

"Hey, Grand, you know how Stephan is half pony and half human?" He asked her. "Have you ever wondered what Earth is like?"

Grand put her glass down and thought for a moment. "You know, I never have, but now that you mention it..." She said, swirling her glass around. "It must be quite different from here"

 

Caramel smiled and followed Starburst into her room and yawned. "I could use some sleep too"
