Art Rival

This may be an odd request to ask everyone but i need a rival. what im wanting is someone who is just a little bit better then me or the same skill level as me in art. someone who i can try to out draw and that they too will try to out draw me. that way we can push each other to be better the we are now    

   

 

this is my best pic. this is what i can do. who is up to challenging me in art.

 

 btw lets keep this as friendly as possible but we are still rivles so  BRING IT!!!

I might do it, because why not. That extra bit of motivation won't hurt. Although I've got no time for drawing at the moment, because I'm going to BUCK next week. Anyway, what do you think that 'rivalry' would look like?

not to pop your bubble but your drawing doesn't seem like it is too challenging for a brony artist that can be considered from decent to good. Your art is not bad, but it's not great either, so looking for a challenger sounds like a little bit to harsh IMO.

 

However, I think that @kotakotakota's artwork is a clear winner here, yes because it is a painting, but more than that, because it has much more detail. Don't get me wrong, I've seen 2D artworks that have a lot of detail.

I couldn't help but feel an air of 'superiority' in the OP, maybe I missunderstood and I'm not interested in finding rivals because I have nothing to prove.

You don't have to be a high level anything to want or have a rival, nor does it have anything to do with proving something. A rival is just someone at your own level who you compete with as motivation.

 

If anything, I sense a great deal of humility from the OP, who specifically states he wants "someone who is just a little bit better...or the same skill level", implying that he can't be an adequate rival to anyone more than a little better than him. In addition, a braggart wouldn't say "this is my best pic", he'd say "this is a quick piece of mine, but I can do better."

 

If I may be frank, I'm more worried about you, who senses "superiority" in what I see as, at most, a neutral post, and then responds without benefit of the doubt in such an negative way.

 

As a last note, I'm not trying to pick a fight with you; I'm genuinely concerned and wanted to tell you in case you're interested in feedback on your public impression.

like I said, I probably misunderstood the OP but that's the first impression that it gave, we all can perceive it in different ways
