Welcome to Night Vale is a podcast about a radio show, created by Joseph Fink. Confused yet? Good.

 

The show covers the news and everyday happenings of Night Vale, a small desert town in the USA. The host is the smooth-talking, cool-headed Cecil Baldwin. Emphasis on the "cool-headed".

 

Night Vale is not a normal town.

 

It is an abnormal town. A paranormal town. Night Vale is the town where angels gather and glowing clouds rain small animals one day, and where glowing lights shine above the Arby's on another. There is a dog park that is not for dogs. There's an old woman who claims to live with the angels. There's a racist asshole white guy who wears a cartoonishly inaccurate Native American headdress. And then there's Carlos the Scientist, who is perfect and beautiful and is the man of Cecil's dreams. He has perfect and beautiful hair.

 

Welcome to Night Vale is the kind of show where you WTF so hard you laugh. Basically, it's Jhonen Vasquez if he tried to write a podcast.

 

I highly reccomend you check it out, as it's super hilarious and is free on iTunes.
