So I was going through some folders of random junk I have on my PC today and came across this.
She was my second attempt at pony, now I am terrible at art, not the whole artist thing "oh this Picasso painted by Da Vinci level of skill painting I did is shit" I generally suck so I am incredibly happy with how she turned out for a second attempt. I'm still new to drawing ponies and haven't done much else since her so any critiquing is more than welcome, I wont learn by being coddled be brutally honest please.

Honestly, I say you did a pretty good job here. :P

 

It all actually seems pretty good. I like the simplicity and overall cuteness here. :P

 

The only thing I would suggest is maybe make her hooves a little wider at the bottom. 

Other than that, it looks fine for a beginner. 

 

Much better than how I started out. :P

Well like I said she is my second attempt haha I refuse to show people my first >.> one reason being I actually have no clue what happened to him, I have a good three drawings but she's the best and the only one I can find I might upload 3 if I can find it but yeah she's easily the best of the bunch.

 

thanks for the compliments and advice though ^_^ I had more trouble than I'd like to admit trying to do her hooves but they'll definitely be one of the main areas I focus on fixing up.

So sheer boredom struck and I arted again. Happy with progress so far but fucking ears >< I'll get them right one of these days. The pony tail was a little lazy but started it and thought fuck it I'll commit and if it works it works if it doesn't it doesn't. All for the sake of progress.

She's blushing because for some reason while drawing her the phrase "Can we be friends? Pretty please?" popped into my head and I went with it. Plus looking at viewer is pretty standards and I felt look noob experimenting with a new expression.

 

Not gonna lie copypasted my Deviant art description :P so what do you guys think?

Thats one cute headshot. You definitively have some talent. I would maybe clean up the hair a bit and the right half of the face looks a tad crooked. But other than that: 10/10 hotdogs dude. Kinda reminds me of the stuff i draw :P

Yeah I will admit I cut a few corners and it REALLY shows where I did that XD I really regret cutting those corners but ah well :) all for the sake of progress. like I said the hair isn't great XD the pony tail stage was just a "Fuck it this is a thing" moment :P something to work off it I wanna expand on her but right now she's just an experiment

I really like the headshot picture it looks really cute, the hair looks a bit weird but it still looks really good. The only other thing that looks a bit off is the right ear in my opinion everything else looks great :P

Yeah the hair apart from the pony tail was in a reference and I though eh might work. I did not do it justice XD I'd love to show you his because I did not do it justice but can't for the life of me remember where I saw it :P

She's a bit chubbier in the face and her manedresser was still learning but I felt like more hair/face/expression practice so as I'm sure experiment pony would say "Hey guys how do you like my new mane?"

Got some art of Mr Sajtan's OC and I will owe him a redo when I have gotten better with wings. SUPER happy with the pose and guitar though as it is my first time with a different non generic pose and first time drawing a guitar

Hmm, not a bad start at all, I like the angular style. Body needs some work though, mostly in the hips and shoulders.

 

 

 

Mr Sajtan's OC

Juvenile word balloon aside, its good picture.

-pose is well executed (right hindleg needs some correcting)

-head could be a bit larger

-mane sits too high

-wings need structure

It's pretty awesome for a beginner. You should have seen my first drawings. They sucked so bad. But I kept practicing and got pretty great at it. 

 

I like your second attempt. It's very great. I'd just say that the mussel is a bit too pointy, and the hooves need to be a tad bit rounder. But overall it's great. I give it an 8/10 /)

Been a long, long LOOOOOOONG time since I poseted here. I drew a puppy.

I really need to work on my linework and if anyone has advice to lessen the damage a shaky hand causes I would REALLY appreciate it. For the first time on a tablet I am a little proud despite relying on a tutorial and his glaring flaws. Lemme know what you guys think.
