Ok so it's 11 PM there is nothing to do, took a paper and mechanical pencil and copied this scene from MLP

(this is my first time I actual intended drawing/replica of a scene in 10 years, so technically haven't intended to actually draw for 10 years)

After i finished i though :"this looks awful, maybe an artist bronie can give some advice?"

ok here goes (embrace yerself)

Uh.... Well, although I'm in no place to give critiques, given how I fail at even basic art. (I got a B in high school art. NOBODY gets a B in high school art!) But, if I had to offer any critique, Twilight's tongue looks like a part of the pillow, so it makes it look like she's munching on the pillow. Shading or coloring can probably set that straight, however.

Skill comes from practice.  No one ever came out of a womb with a paintbrush or pencil and started making the next great masterpiece.  You have to start from somewhere.  You haven't really taken time to draw in 10 years from what you've said, you can't be harsh on yourself for this.  Just take it one thing at a time.

I'd focus on what you'd want to learn to do better first, since obviously there's a bit here you can correct on this piece of work.  Usually for drawing ponies, the best way to start is to just practice drawing them in basic poses.
