What would Equestria look like?

This will be a difficult topic to explain so bare with me.

 

My question is this: what would Equestria look like in reality? In other words, if it was a real world would it feel like being in a three dimensional cartoon, or would it appear more Earth-like. The cartoon is so ingrained in my mind that seeing it in a physical reality (cartoon-like or not) would be bizarre. I bring this up partly from the rumor of a live action EG, which would be weird enough given their skin colors.

Seeing the episodes, My opinion is that it will be like the first civilizations, with great spaces between cities. Because when we fly over Equestria in the intro, it's pretty empty.

It's most probably earth in a post-apocalyptic situation. Probably the result of a mutagenetic situation... After all, the elements of harmony book's cover does show a long-snouted horse.

Once again I must escape to a little help of tall, blue friends living in a fictional world of Pandora.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's not as hard to imagine as you could think. Landscapes contained in Avatar are more than enough to prove that imagination can easily project Equestria being a realistic environment.
