How will Twilight Sparkle handle change?

Her friends wouldn't call her differently, in fact they'd probably keep forgetting to add her title  if they were in a situation where they had to use it, like some formal event like the gala.

 

Only in Ponyville can she expect to be addressed as Twilight.  Anywhere else however would be different as they do not know her as the town librarian, they only know her as Princess Twilight Sparkle.

 

Wait now that she's a princess does she have to go to the Gala LOL now?  I would think.  I mean we might not get an episode but man that's gotta suck.

 

Imagine this twilight sparkle is going there grumbling and she see's 6 other ponies singing at the gala, and she just kinda smirks "Oh you poor dopes."

Are there gonna be two pony guards checked out in front of the library now?  I mean if candice and celestial have guards why not twilight?

Ha that could be a new fun character.

"(insert pony name) Captain of twilights guard."

the ultimate straight man, to the rest of the characters shenanigans.  

I could totally see pinkie pie and rainbow dash totally driving him or her off the deep end.

 

Maybe even the CMC trying to volunteer for the job.

there's so many goof ball ideas they could run with twilight being princess it's why i'm totally willing to give alicorn princess twilight a shot.

Well we've seen Rainbow Dash try and get a reaction out of Canterlot guards before, i've even seen a comic or two with rainbow trying "other" tactics to get a, shall we say. "rise" out of the guard. Poor b*stard is sweating like hell in that comic xD

 

Much as I want Dash to be a wonderbolt, I think she could be a badass guard captain if she ever choose to be.

 

And as for attending the Gala, Celestia can send her on diplomatic missions so I'd imagine she'd be dragged/sent to at least one formal event. The episode "Games Ponies Play" is kind of a practice run, in S4 she'd be attending the event as a Princess officially even though she's there with her friends.
