Well, I wanted to have control of all exterior characters since Thunder and Galatea are the only two together at the moment. This way, it won't feel so awkward for you to RP both as Rarity and Galatea. It'll seem more of a one way like that.

Just a heads-up, you guys. Once we reach a certain point - which will be coming up soon - we're all going to have to coordinate. And by coordinate, I mean get all of our characters to get to where they should be. Ariel, Saron, and Break are heading to the library; let's make it so that as they're leaving the library, Thunder, Frost, Galatea and Nano decide to head to the library next. You know, so that they all end up meeting at some point, as the first group heads out and the latter heads in. You get what I'm saying?

 

Keep in mind that this is to make happen what I want to happen - namely, Ariel encountering Galatea and Nano. Don't need to do all that right now... but soon. Soon...

While I'm here actually, I have quick question that has been eating me for a while: How is Galatea's name pronounced? I've been pronouncing it like two separate words, as in Gal-uh-tea, for the past while and only started to question whether that was the proper pronunciation, or if my original thought, which was Gah-lay-shea, was proper. Or if neaither was.

Reason being is I enjoy giving voice to the posts, as in I tea them aloud to myself on occasion just for the fun of it, and I like to be pronouncing things all proper like.

Hehe, somehow I figured this question would come up sooner or later. I pronounce Galatea's name as follows:

I suppose that technically, there should be an accent over the 'e,' but honestly, I've no idea how to incorporate such characters with this keyboard of mine.

That's cool and all, but, uh, I'm not sure that would have even worked out that well. Galatea can't walk on clouds, being an Earth Pony, and thus she'd have to remain on his back the entire time that they were there. And it's simply not in Galatea's nature to be carried around; she'd want to walk on her own at some point, and she may find out the hard way that she can't walk on clouds... Don't want to have another fall there, hehe. (And yeah, while I figure Thunder would try and stop her from making that mistake in the first place, Galatea is a terribly stubborn mare.)

Nah, that's actually a pretty cool ability. The only reason I suppose I'm kind of rushing things along is, I don't want to drag it out too long... In other words, I'm really anxious to write the scene where Ariel encounters Nano and Galatea. I've been picturing it for weeks. No joke.

 

But, we could include a trip to Cloudsdale, yeah. We just still have to make sure that everything is coordinated. By the time Thunder and the others head towards the library, Ariel, Saron and Break should be leaving the library. That's the key thing, because that's the one absolute way I can think of getting Ariel to run into Galatea and Nano.

Ariel is not going to be happy to see Galatea and Nano. In fact, it's going to trigger a mental break in which Ariel goes full-on psychopath. The reason I've been looking forward to their encounter is A.) It's going to be so much fun to write crazy Ariel and B.) This event will bring some excitement and change the course of this roleplay, wherever it may currently be going.

Galatéa then? I honestly have no idea how accents work...
I got that character in because I'm on an iPhone. There is actually a way to do if with a normal keyboard that I found through just derping around, but I can't remember if it actually works on the internet, or just Microsoft word. If I remember correctly, the way it works is you hit control, shift, and then the apostrophe, and you then hit the key that you want to accent, granted it has them. I can't remember if that is the actual way to do it however... I'm going to have to check this.

 

EDIT: So, I checked, and it is just "control+'(or `)+E" or any other number that allows you to add accents. Likewise, it only works in Microsoft word (at least, that's the only writing program that I have to check it on), and not on a web browser, for pressing control in a web browser causes you to type in the URL bar instead.  

 

"Galatéa. Galatèa", however, copy/paste does seem to work, as I have demonstrated. 

 

Also, that gif. It is far more hilarious and hypnotic than it should be.

Why do I have the feeling Break is going to get this close to stopping Ariel from breaking down, but then Galetea and Nano show up and it's just like "WELP."

I  can't wait for this stuff to go crazy.  Oh my goodness.  But then... what happens after that?  

 

Do Break and Saron figure things out and work together?  Do we all separate for a bit?  Will Saron learn stuff about the future?  Will Break learn about the truth?  FIND OUT NEXT TIME.

Ah, thanks. I had an idea that such shortcuts work in Word; I thought there might be some way to get around the copy-and-paste method, but I guess not.

Hooray, I actually stuck by my word this time 'round. Sorry for that abhorrent gap of activity.

 

I did you around with Saron's charcter bio a bit during that absence, making his power and backstory a tad more streamlined in my mind, plus tweaking his color scheme and giving him a musical twin sister who isn't a Visionary but is aware of his power. Whether that all is relevant to this doesn't really matter.
