An art a day- New art: Soarin' and Starscream/Kelpie

Hi everypony,,

so i couldnt seem to find someone who appreciate transformer ponies  , and would like to widen my scope from simple drawings of the mane 6 , to crazy creations of my own ( like  transformers / star war crossover ponies and my OC , Snowfoot).  To think that the majority here are big tough bronies. They should enjoy robots , and stuff from far far away.

Nontheless , I entitled this a simple " a sketch a day " page. Where i will post stuff i sketch. Stuff that has enough support will be vector linearted and coloured  in photoshop.

 My friend said i been in the shell for long , and it is not wise to shy away if i do not get support from a proper  community. I been suffering that a lot in various site: fimfiction, deviantart and furryart.net. I hope things will change as i try to put forth more of my artworks. I really need honest critique for my pony works. and i see some lucky ones being able to get it here. Maybe i will meet some kind soul who are willing to share some constructive critisism.

First platter : Obi wan Kenobi , in all his glory as a pony. I been obsessed with him since 8 years ago and the release of Revenge of the sith. I seen some creative youtube videos of how ponies, especially unicorn  wield sword using magic , and it turns out not bad at all.

I received 2 broofhoofs ( although technically i am a girl )!  Even though i do wish for constructive criticism. I couldnt ask for more. Take you so much for those watching this thread. Next art  on the  platter : Rainbow dash and starscream wedding! 

I stick to more conventional pose to show off their designs . Trust me , these two couldn't have enough of public smooching / public affection, which i will attempt soon. Starscream ( as a changeling ) has to adopt an allicorn form in order not to scare of civilians . Rainbow had to endure hours and hours of makeup ( courtesy of rarity ) to primp herself up as a beautiful bride. Things they do for love after all they been through

If i receive enough critique, ill try to attempt something like this after my presentation ( 13th of November, 2013)- probably most seen it in my other thread.

Art of the day.

Day 3 : Soarin' and Starscream. Im gonna prepare myself to have lots of rotten apples thrown at me , especially for soarin' dash fans out there. Please forgive me . i couldn't see the chemistry between pie - eating soarin and 120 % cool rainbow dash. but he does love her a lot in my story.

This time, im testing paneling and comic, this is an emotional  scene where Soarin' butt- kicked Starscream and  put some sense into that irresponsible lover of Rainbow Dash.

Enjoy , or throw forth rotten apples  at me , Id love to hear some views in my thread! .

 

EDIT : Im also throwing forth a bonus kelpie sketch i did specially for  the awesome Rascal 61 .

Oh god; I'm getting old.... Ehm ah yes art.

 

These are all very nicely done, though they might profit from some minor cleaning up and emphasis of the outlines.

 

-the frontlegs of Obi Wan are a bit akward in how they attach to the body

-SarscramXDash   ooookay?

-He looks a bit bulky to me (more Meagtron-ish to be honest, especially that chin)

 

I absolutely adore that kelpie, would love to see that finished/digitalized.

another star wars fan?hehe.

- Apparently i need to look for reference for pony  kenobi's art. I feel his pose is not dynamic enough ( just standing there and wiedling a lightsaber )  and deserves a complete makeover. However, hopefully the costume and hairstyle is fixed .

- Yes. This here crack pairing is invented by me. Couldn't  pair rainbow with spitfire ( as i am girl and straight ), and soarin' strangely  is very illusive ( apart from his love for pie and picture with rainbow dash during the royal wedding)...  Sorry rainbow x soarin or rainbow x spitfire fan. if given more airtime like flash sentry ( which i love to see with twilight ) , i would have gauge his character and use him as rainbow's mate. Strangely , Starscream is so well developed ( in Transformer Animated and Prime ), i started  drawing him as a pony beside Rainbow. They hit of rightaway in my crazy little mind . It is so ironic that he is the element of " treachery " while Rainbow embodies the element of loyalty. Mix them together , you have a strong case of " opposite attracts".

- here is the thing about Starscream... we have Transformer Animated ( which he is really beefy - though you are right , not as much as Megatron) , and Transformer Prime ( which he is really tall and lanky ). I will play with his designs. In my story , he has a civilian form and a changeling form ( and i could throw in some crazy ideas - like  altering between beefy and lanky ). Personally , Im too used to adding beefs to male ponies ... a bad habit of mine XD.

tough i noticed in your rainbow dash vs decepticon drawing, RD seems a bit... how do i say this, fat?

No , you are right,  RD is " fat" , and that " fat" reason is why she she got into a heated quarrel  with starscream.

1000 bits guessing why she does ( while she is " normal " in her wedding suit).
