spagott 3 October 28, 2013 Share October 28, 2013 My name is Spagott. My role here is not actually one of a traditional brony, but of an ethnographic researcher! That's basically jargon for 'someone who observes and interacts with a community and then writes about it'. It is for my Writing and Rhetoric II class! I chose bronies as my ethnographic research site (the community I write my research paper on) because of my large interest in animation and fandom. I hope to one day to achieve success in the animation world, and having a fanbase as devoted and satisfied and above all accepting as those who like Friendship Is Magic would be stellar! I am here to help others understand the way of many-a brony and pegasisters, albeit not being a brony myself. This isn't an exercise in novelty voyeurism. Ethnography is a respected field of research that often garners newfound respect and understanding for the subjects of the site after a published essay. However, this is just for a class! So no worries. Sooo yeah, with that out of the way, I'm spagott! I like cartoons and comics. I like Osama Tezuka's and Chris Ware's work in comics, and seasons 1-9 of The Simpsons. I like music! My favorite artists are Talking Heads, Frank Zappa and Kanye West. I hope to have a great time here at MLPforums! I am hoping to conduct interviews/discussion topics later down the line, but soon.
