Guest November 8, 2013 Share November 8, 2013 Hey Everyone, with the release of NVIDA's new Shadowplay feature which allows you to record games with very little impact to your hardware. I'm getting into the gameplay community of Youtube and would like opinions on the video quality of my videos, note that all of these video are rendered in Sony Vegas 11, everything helps, thanks! Quality One: 2K resolution (2048x1152), standard BitRate, 30FPS, WMV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYeOX_C8RZ8 Quality Two: 1080P, Standard BitRate, 30FPS, MP4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aw9iP_TRqMU Quality Three: 1080P, High BitRate, 30FPS, MP4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OA3Ut_kOIaw
Feather Spiral 1,892 November 8, 2013 Share November 8, 2013 Well obviously higher definition looks cleaner, some of the text is easier to read; but I don't really see a big difference. Bitrate doesn't seem to make much of a difference except when moving fast (like panning across the beach you're passing by). I'd say go for quality #2. But don't trust my judgment on the matter, because I'm not good at distinguishing video quality (unless it's blatantly shitty). I take writing commissions. Thanks for the feedback, Quality #2 and #3 I can't really see the difference but i'm sure some people may be able to see the distinction. With the Quality #1 do you find the widescreen effect annoying at all? as it is most definitely the sharpest of the three. I could've sworn it was the opposite... *grumble grumble* Moving on from that. I hadn't really noticed the widescreen format, but I actually prefer it. Especially since the game you're playing is more horizontal than vertical, panoramic view allows better assessment of the environment and such. I take writing commissions. Quality #1 allows YouTube to playback in 1440P which has more pixels comparatively to 1080P, I want whats most most pleasing to the eye throughout each quality. Quality #1 would be my first choice but the widescreen format causes the black bars within the video and some people may find that annoying which is why I have three formats i'm trying out to see what people prefer or at the very least get an idea of certain qualities that I may need to add to later videos.
