twilight24 323 December 5, 2013 Share December 5, 2013 Hello everypony!! I have a few voice actors, hope, and some people interested in my youtube video projects. What I need to know is how do you do basic animation like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fuv-fdclNwk I wouldn't mind it being lower quality and I'm not to picky with artists, I just really don't understand how they do this. Having different people together to both anaylyze a video yet not having to be even within the same country to do it. How do you animate backgrounds and add the drawn character you or someone else has created? Someone told me that I could just create a picture and somehow animate the faces using basic emotions, but how? What's the best software program? Do I need one? And are there any guides for pony analyzing videos? I'm probably missing something here but these are my basic questions
Gay Bird 421 December 5, 2013 Share December 5, 2013 (edited) First, you need Adobe Flash which costs a bit of money. Then, you'll need a tablet to connect to your computer so you can draw storyboards and animatcs. After that, it's the time consuming process known as puppet animation. The puppets are all free that you can download from different places on deviantart. Also, there are some free animation tutorials on Youtube on the channel where double rainboom premiered that go through all the basics of animation of ponies with flash. My number 1 tip: patience. Animation takes a LONG time. Tired Brony 89 December 5, 2013 Share December 5, 2013 You don't need Flash to do whats in that video. He just drew his OC and editted the eyes and mouth for a few different poses. You could use any of the free vector programs for that.
