khaos 2 December 11, 2013 Share December 11, 2013 I get the following error when trying to upload a 10MB 320kbps MP3" The file was created in REAPER with it's LAME encoder. I can attach the file later if needed. The track does not contain audio in a valid format.
Founder Twilight Sparkle ✨ 8,526 December 11, 2013 Founder Share December 11, 2013 Hey Khaos, Pony.fm only accepts FLAC, AIFF, and WAV files for track uploads. Even at 320 Kbps, MP3's are still "lossy" and do not faithfully reproduce the source audio. Since Pony.fm aims to be a full-quality archive, getting lossless source files from artists is important - the site will automatically generate downloads from it in MP3 and various other formats. Fixing this is easy - just re-export your track from your DAW in one of the above supported formats and upload that! 2 Avatar credit: robinrain8 Signature credit: Kyoshi
khaos 2 December 11, 2013 Author Share December 11, 2013 Ah, that is an easy fix. I'll have to get back to my source machine and export it to WAV. Thank you!

khaos 2 December 11, 2013 Author Share December 11, 2013 God, I feel dumb. I blame this last week of final exams. It even says on the upload page, "FLAC, WAV, and AIFF files will be accepted"(I don't see a facehoof emoticon, or I'd use it...)
Jack "Fox" Grayson 27 December 13, 2013 Share December 13, 2013 I thought MP3 was the best quality audio format. Nope, MP3 is lossy. And even in the lossy format realm, MP3 isn't the best. Vorbis is better at comparable bitrates. 1 Me on the Web: http://jackgraysonfox.tk/
