"Oh well I was wondering if my new pal Glowing here," Astral said pointing towards the colt. "Could have a little sleepover, I'm sorry for not telling about this it just slipped my mind, cause I met on the way home, and his parents were completely on board with the idea, also since he lives fairly near to us it won't be a bother if you said no." He said hoping his farther won't see though the lie, and that Glowing would play along.

Glowing made a little smile, and waved his hoof at Astral's father. "Hi." He said weakly.

Astral's dad smiled. "I don't see a reason to not let him stay." Said Astral's father. "So sure, he can stay the night for tonight. It's nice to see you making some great friends, Astral." Complimented his father, still smiling.

Glowing made a little smile, and waved his hoof at Astral's father. "Hi." He said weakly. Astral's dad smiled. "I don't see a reason to not let him stay." Said Astral's father. Astral smiled back at his farther and he very relieved that he somehow got him to believe it. He wasn't sure whether or not he was that either, but that didn't really matter cause he usual didn't have to. However this time it didn't really seem like he had choice. He looked at glowing either he was more awkward than him or was just putting on a act, either way it didn't matter now anyway. He walked over to his room after thanking his farther, and opened the door to his messy room.

Astral smiled back at his farther and he very relieved that he somehow got him to believe it. He wasn't sure whether or not he was that either, but that didn't really matter cause he usual didn't have to. However this time it didn't really seem like he had choice. Astral's father smiled. "What a great lad." He said, happy. He himself now slowly and lethargically went to his own room and fell into a sleep.

Glowing followed Astral. "Now what?" He asked. "Should we rest for now? Or do you have other things in mind?" Asked Glowing curiously.

Astral went inside his room trying his best not to step on anything, and then turned to respond to glowing. "Are you impaling that I have ulterior motives?" He said jokingly with a smug smile. "Now come on and let's get some rest, something tells me tomorrow is going to be a long day." He said while heading towards his bed .

Glowing nodded. "Alright." He said, trotting to the bed in the room he was presented with. "Night!" He called.

 

Hours later, thunder cracked outside. It was morning, all right, but a dark, dreary, and morbid one. "Augh." Commented Glowing, getting up from his laying position.

Astral woke up in shock when he heard the thunder crack, and quickly calmed himself down. "Of all the days to be stormy, it had to be today," he said while resisting the urge to lay in bed all day. He slowly began to crawl out his bed, ignoring the part of his brain telling him to sleep in for just a few more minutes.

Glowing looked around. "Dark Spot... No..." He said lightly. "The day his parents died..." Mourned Glowing. "Light... Please help him..." He said to himself, meeting Astral in his room.

 

Light sped as fast as he could. It was that day he ignored Dark. Today would be different. He excused himself, and he was about to do the unthinkable. Save history.

Astral was confused by Glowing's words, and didn't really know the meaning of them.  He looked puzzled at him, who were theses ponies maybe some friends of his. Whatever the case was he had to prepare, he didn't know how long their journey would last them. For all he knew it could be a few minutes or a few months before they found Glowing's friend.

Astral said in a single breath without stopping once, while looking at Glowing. "So the short answer is no," he said while opening the door to the hallway and went to get breakfast in the kitchen.

Light got to the house as the fire began. "No! Not this time!" He shouted, running into the blaze with much haste.

"Alright, then. We should get ready with all haste, though." Said Glowing, fumbling in his speech patterns. "Good morning, Astral!" Said his father in a welcome and warm voice. "I made you some hay cakes!" Said his father in delight.

 

"Alright then fair enough," Astral responded to Glowing, while making his way to the dinner table. When he got there his nose was delighted by the smell of the hay cakes, he couldn't wait to dig into them. However since he and his new friend were in a hurry, he would had to make this breakfast quick.

Dark looked throughout the blaze. "Mom? Dad?" He called. Not Again... he mourned in thought. And that's when he saw it. His parents, alive, out of the fire. And there was Light, still in the blaze, fighting the flames. "Thank you..." Whispered Dark, stepping from the house.

Astral's father layer down the two plates, as he had already eaten, and called for Glowing. Glowing sped with all haste down to the location of the kitchen. He was wearing a trench coat. "Good morning!" He said cheerfully, sitting down at the table.

"Wow that was fast," Astral said speechlessly looking at glowing, and went over to the table to sit down. He was ready for his breakfast, and the long day that was awaiting them. He also decided he would take a trench coat, after he was done eating and was full.  After all the storm out there was pretty bad.

Glowing ate his breakfast in haste, and thanked Astral's father for the delightful meal he had consumed. He then got up, brushed his coat, both of them, and smoothed his mane to the style he would possess in the future.

"We'll be careful ok," he called out again to his farther hoping that we wouldn't worry about so much, and stay out into the storm. The rain went down on him very fast, one after another with no sigh of ever slowing down.

From where Dark was, it wasn't raining. Though, there were dark clouds approaching. Dark ran in and pulled Light from the blaze. And then it began to rain.

Astral looked at light, and nodded his head. Finally he would get some answers, and have some idea of what was going on here. He remember about a voice in his head talking about a second chance, but that could have just have easily been something his mind could have made up. No matter what a voice in his head is still just a voice in his head.

"Alright." Said Light, finally on balance after his harrowing experience. "It appears that we have been sent to the past by a very powerful presence. A presence which has enough power to send us to the past. It's got us in a time loop, as well. We have to fix apparent mistakes in our lives, or we do this again." Explained Light. "Sort of a second chance, per say."
