Do Bat Ponies Have Cutie Marks?

So I've seen Bat Ponies (aka, Luna's Nightguard) drawn by people on DA that have cutie marks.

But the Nightguard are only seen once in the show, and with armor covering their flanks.

 

I'm of the camp that thinks that the Nightguard ponies actually look like that, and it's not just a cosmetic spell. So I'm thinking about putting a bat pony or two in this fan work I'm planning and I was wondering if they needed cutie marks as well.

 

What's your opinion?

Well as far as i know anypony can get a cutie mark

But (this is only a query) by any chance are they possesed?   Then they may just be evil bat demons. WITHOUT a cutie mark

It's really hard to tell with the armor covering their flanks, they do have a cutie mark as a speculation but the armor is covering it.

Yeah, but some equines like Donkies and Mules don't seem to, so it can be confusing.

Well I'm not sure "evil bat demons" would be hired by the Princesses.

Yep, shameless art plug.  Couldn't resist.  Regardless I'm betting on them being ponies and gain their cutie marks the same way any other pony does.

But yeah, I assume that's how it works.

Yep, hopefully that means equates to them following all the cutie mark rules that the three types do.  Plus zebras.  Plus alicorns, which some may or may not be born as such.... argh, ambiguity.
