Corona sat there in silence until she turned wondering why Sterling hadn't answered her yet. What she saw made her giggle, the sight of Sterling passed out on her bed no doubt from the kiss made her happy. Corona slowly tapped him on his cheeks trying to wake him up so that they could continue talking. Corona could hear the distant sound of laughing and who she assumed was Star Shine coming from downstairs.

Sterling got up slightly after Corona planted another kiss on his cheek. He wasn't sure why Corona was suddenly kissing him so much... but regardless of the reason, he loved it. It felt so enjoyable... no wonder his parents loved to kiss each other whenever his dad got home from work. Without saying anything, Sterling did the incomprehensible... He planted a kiss onto Corona's neck and then nuzzled on her mane. He knew that Corona was a colourful mare inside, and he loved Corona's silky mane... He was so enchanted with Corona that he forgot all about the Wingball incident and didn't notice that Star Shine was giggling downstairs.

Pink Heart and Erlen Meyer sat together on the lone bench at the street where they were located. It was pure bliss for the two ponies to not worry about the events that unfolded and the homework they had to deal with in the near future. That bliss was swiftly interrupted when Erlen's watch beeped at the sound of 4:00 pm. Erlen jumped from his bench and frantically recalled to Pink,

 

"Oh Pink! I'm sorry, but I have to get going now! I hope you've felt better after what happened today... I'll see you later!" Without giving a chance for Pink Heart to say goodbye, Erlen rushed off from the bench, leaving Pink Heart all alone again. Pink giggled at Erlen's rush towards wherever he had to go. If only she could see Erlen again... She gave out a deep and happy sigh at the thought as she too got up from the bench and walked home with a smile on her face.

The sudden kiss to her neck made Corona blush a deep red, but when Sterling started to nuzzle her it made her heart skyrocket. She could feel her heart beating faster and faster. The fact that he was showing her this much love in return practically made her start crying again. Corona nuzzled him back showing as much love as she could, she didn't want to ever let him go. Corona slowly felt the embrace starting to end as they both pulled away. "Thank you Sterling, you're the best Coltfriend I've ever had. I love you so much. Can you ever forgive me for how I acted?" Corona looked at Sterling, placing her hoof on his. Her sapphire eyes looking into Sterling's, her heart beat heavy in her chest awaiting his answer.

Sterling nuzzled on Corona again when she spoke again. His heart fluttered when she said that he was her best coltfriend she ever had... He chuckled at the thought because he was her first ever coltfriend... he hoped that he was going to be her only coltfriend for all eternity...

 

"Of course I forgive you Corona... I just feel terrible right now for pushing another mare buddy out of the way when I was still really angry... She was a good friend too..." Sterling replied with a small sigh. He didn't want it to sound like he had doubts about her, but he felt guilty about the way he treated Pink...

Corona's wings shifted with happiness when she heard Sterling forgive her. When he told her about another mare that was trying to help Corona knew it had to have been the Pink mare from a week or so ago. Corona placed a wing on Sterling's side and gave him a warm and caring smile. "If you're that upset about it Sterling then you need to go talk to her. She was probably just trying to help you, just at the wrong time." Corona nuzzled against Sterling. Corona knew that if her parents caught them nuzzling like this they would question just how innocent their relationship was. "You go talk to her and get things straightened out. But you have to promise me that you'll walk with me to school tomorrow ok." Corona gave Sterling a happy smile.

Sterling got up from Corona's bed, feeling a renewed strength in him. He was glad that Star forced him to go over to Corona's house. Who knows what woul have happened if he didn't? He'd also lose this feeling he had... a kiss on the cheeks... and the mouth of all places. He nodded at Corona's suggestion to go over to Pink's house and seek forgiveness from, but there was only one problem...

 

"Corona... I'd love to apologize to Pink Heart and all, but... I have no idea where Pink's house is... She's a new student here like me, and I barely know her... Plus, she's never invited me to her house before."  Replied a confused Sterling, wondering how to get to Pink's house...

Corona nuzzled against Sterling and smiled. "Well why don't we go and look for her together, we can start in the last place that you saw her. She might not have gone far. Plus I can fly around and look for her, we need to find her Sterling." Corona started towards her door and headed downstairs hearing a gasp of shock from Star who was still here. Corona Saw her father's questionable stare, his left eyebrow raised at her. "Everything's okay dad me and Sterling talked it out...well more like I blabbed and cried at him. Anyway we're going to head to the park to try and find another mare that tried to help." Flower smiled warmly at her daughter, seeing the happiness that Sterling brought to her made everything worth it. Flower looked at the young couple and gave an approving nod. "Ok you two but just be careful ok."

Sterling patted on Corona's back happily. His love for Corona was revived by the recent turn of events. Now though, he had to go over to Pink Heart's place and apologize to her for the misplaced anger on her. He recalled the first tear that fell from Pink's eyes right after he replied with his angry look. He was glad as well that Corona was going to come along with him, for he knew that he probably needed double the amount of apology to get even a hint of forgiveness from her...

 

As Sterling walked down the stairs, he saw Star continuing to giggle at what she was hearing upstairs. He spoke first to Star before he left,

 

"Thanks for making me come here Star. If it weren't for you, I don't think Corona and I would have made up."

Star's eyes widened when she heard Sterling thank her, it was something she wasn't expecting from him so soon. Star smiled at seeing the young couple back together. "You're welcome Sterling, I'm happy that you two made up. Now you just need to go find Pink Heart and fix things with her." Corona smiled and headed out the door with Sterling, Corona was sticking close to Sterling and walking with him. Corona didn't know where they should start looking so she looked to Sterling. "Where did you last see Pink Heart last Sterling?" Corona questioned, making sure that they were well out of eyesight of her house Corona got as close as possible to Sterling and put her wing over his back and draped the end over his side.

 

Star said her goodbyes and left Corona's house and headed towards her house, unaware of the trouble that was waiting for her at home.

Sterling and Corona were now far away from Corona's house, and Corona now asked Sterling where he last saw Pink Heart. Feeling a sudden drive of determination, Sterling replied with a stronger voice,

 

"Well for sure I last saw her at Baltimare Park. She was trying to comfort me, and that was where I angrily told her off..." Sterling had just arrived at Baltimare Park, the place where he shoved a potentially good friend away from his life... He wanted to make amends, but was Pink Heart willing?

"Well then that's where we'll star looking first for her." Corona walked with Sterling holding him close to her, she didn't care who would see them together. Corona only cared about how happy they were together, and right now nothing could do anything to spoil it. Corona and Sterling walked through most of the park. Unfortunately from the looks of it, it didn't seem like they were in the park anymore. "Hm well, we might not be able to find her tonight but we'll see her at school tomorrow hopefully. C'mon Sterling I'll walk with you back to your house if you'd like?" Corona questioned giving Sterling a short loving nuzzle.

Sterling and Corona walked around the park beside each other. Sterling could tell that she didn't want to let him go for the world. They walked through much of the park, with Sterling looking around the park with awe. The flurry of green all around him was enough to make him nearly forget about Pink Heart... and think about the walk with Corona instead...

 

When they ended their walk, Sterling was whisked back to reality. Corona sadly told him that Pink Heart wasn't anywhere around, leaving Sterling saddened. It looked like he would have to wait until tomorrow to apologize to Pink Heart. Sterling gave a disappointed nod to Corona, realizing that it would have to be so. Sterling then replied,

 

"You want... to walk me home...?" Sterling blushed at the thought. He never really had a mare walk him home before... and it was a thrilling feeling to have, given the circumstances... He fumbled through the sentence, struggling to say yes. Suffice to say, he was still slightly embarrassed about Corona being so loving towards him...

Corona giggled watching Sterling get all flustered. Corona and Sterling started towards his house, enjoying the time that they were spending minus the fact that Sterling didn't get to apologize to Pink Heart. It didn't take long for them to get to Sterling's house, once there she stopped Sterling in the pathway. "Sterling I just wanted to say that I know I'm being forward about this and all but...you're the only stallion to ever really care. I've never felt this way with anypony else, and with you it's well...special. I know that I can trust you and know that you don't care that my coat is grey because of my condition. I love you so much Sterling and I can't just not let you know about it...and...I'm sorry if I'm being too forward about this."

Sterling walked with Corona, who was still flustered at all that Corona did for him. While still worried about Pink Heart, he felt that with Corona, everything would be alright... When they reached his house, Corona gave him a long monologue... that again expressed her deep love for Sterling outright... Sterling was stunned at her love speech... he had never been given such a speech in his whole life... With a stutter, Sterling struggled to respond...

 

"Umm... thanks Corona... I'm... I'm honoured..." Sterling blushed furiously at Corona's speech once again. He was just starting to compose himself before that speech. Now he was even more stunned at how deep Corona's love for him was... He continued to stutter, struggling to find the right words to say...

Corona blushed heavily, she could even feel her hooves shaking. She loved being around Sterling and she'd never felt a sensation like this before. Corona looked back at the door and then back to Sterling, floating up off the ground she gave him a short loving kiss on the forehead. "I'll see you tomorrow Sterling...again I'm sorry if I've been so forward with you." Corona smiled and flew off towards her house. Once she was home she told her parents what had happened and then headed upstairs to her room. Pulling out her journal she put down her thoughts and what her heart was telling her and started working on the sketch that she'd started of Sterling a week ago.

Before they knew it, Sterling and Corona had to say their goodbyes. Corona did hers with such cuteness and sweetness... Sterling couldn't take it in without fainting on the spot at the front lawn of his house... When his parents saw Corona fly away, they rushed out to see if Sterling was alright, to which he answered blissfully,

 

"Yes Mom and Dad... everything's alright..."

Pink Heart was now at home, feeling her giddy self once again. She felt much better about Sterling, and felt that she could forgive him at this stage. She understood Erlen's plea to forgive Sterling, and she understood why Sterling did what he did. Deep inside though, she was still sad about Sterling. She lost her chance with him, and it looked like Sterling and Corona were going to be the picture-perfect pair rather than Sterling and Pink Heart... She sighed at the lost cause, forgetting that certain stallion was there to cheer her up in the first place...

Corona continued working on the sketch of Sterling, finally getting the line work done. Corona walked over to her desk and pulled out her colored pencils. Corona stared coloring in Sterling and was being very meticulous about it. She had drawn Sterling sitting on a hill looking out at a sunset and was quite proud of how it was turning out. Corona worked as long as she could, staying up until after 2 when her mom forced her to bed. Luckily for Corona she had managed to finish it just before her mom made her go to bed. The next morning Corona grabbed the sketch after she got her bath and finished getting ready. Corona took off towards the school with the picture in her saddlebag. I hope Sterling likes this...I can't wait to give it to him.

Sterling was now home, and he told everything that happened between him and Corona, aside from the kisses. Sterling's parents were elated at how happy Sterling was, and they basked it in with him. Sterling celebrated by playing on the piano many romantic, yet happy pieces, to which his parents enjoyed very much. Sterling continued to express his happy mood even as he drifted off to sleep. He couldn't help but smile at the happy turn of events that occurred even after all that happened to Corona during Wingball...

Corona landed at Hoofstomp and while she received some snickers and saw some ponies talking about her off to the side. She did hide herself for a little bit but once she found a nice little spot to settle down until Sterling arrived. Corona pulled out her sketchbook and started sketching out the schoolyard with all of the different ponies around. It was then that Corona saw Pink Heart walking into the schoolyard with a stallion. Corona's ear's perked up and when she came up with a great idea. Putting her sketchbook back in her saddlebag, Corona trotted over to Pink with a smile. "Um hi Pink I was wondering...would you and your...friend let me draw you guys together?"

Pink Heart was trotting off to school with a bright smile on her face. She was still hurt from what transpired the day before, but the night's sleep, along with Erlen, were more than enough to cheer her into the night. She awoke with a bright smile and trotted away to school, hoping to see Erlen at school.

 

Just as she arrived, her wish was granted. Erlen had just arrived at the school grounds as well, and he saw Pink Heart trotting towards him. He gave out a wave to her, and Pink rushed towards him with a gleeful smile!

 

"PINKIE!" Erlen called out, not realizing that he just gave Pink Heart a nickname.

"ERLEN!" Pink Heart replied, giggling at the nickname Erlen gave her. She liked the name really nice... after all, she drew similarities with Pinkie Pie because of her flamboyant nature. She then jumped on Erlen and gave him a big, warm hug, leaving Erlen blushing furiously as the other ponies stared and giggled.

 

"Pink! We're in public..." Erlen said, feeling squished at Pink Heart's tight hug before motioning for her to let go... After Pink Heart moved her hooves away, she giggled after noticing Erlen on the ground...

 

"Oh Erlen! You're so silly! Get up!" Erlen sighed with a chuckle while Pink Heart giggled again. Erlen then got up and trotted closely besides Pink Heart before encountering Corona... Pink Heart suddenly stopped. She was the mare who blamed Sterling for the mess that he was in... She was the one who made Sterling angry at her...

 

When Corona started speaking to her, she gave Corona a suspicious look. She offered to make a drawing of Pink Heart and a certain friend...

 

"Ummm... Corona... which... friend are you talking about?" Pink Heart asked with a suspicious look like Pinkie Pie would towards someone suspicious. Erlen noticed what Pink Heart was doing and intervened,

 

"Pink... I think she means me? I personally want to see her draw... She looks pretty good..."

Corona backed off a little bit when she saw Pink's look, but blushed ever so slightly at the Stallions comment. "I...uh...I didn't mean anything by it Pink really. Your friend is right I was talking about drawing you and him together...I mean if that's ok with you." Corona didn't know what to make of this situation. She knew that Pink had feelings for Sterling or maybe at least until now, she wasn't sure if things had changed in the last day or not. It was then that Corona realized that she hadn't introduced herself to the other pony. "I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself I'm Corona."

 

Unknown to Corona and the others Star was limping to school that morning. She had taken the long way to school so that nopony would see her, she didn't want to be seen right now. She knew that somepnoy would notice eventually she only hoped that it wasn't today. Star had a bruise on her left side under her wing and a few on her back left leg, luckily for her she could hide them. She could hide the bruise on her side with her wing and she was wearing socks to cover up the one on her leg.

Pink Heart backed off from her accusation of Corona. She changed her suspicious look from Corona and then turned to Erlen. She giggled at him, remembering Erlen's kiss to her and his loving side hug when she was feeling very sad. Just the very thought of Erlen made her blush... it wasn't a feeling that she experienced before, even with Sterling. Pink Heart giggled when Erlen gave a nod after Corona offered to draw Pink and Erlen together. If Erlen wanted to do it, then Pink would too. After all, he kissed her yesterday after Sterling's angry outburst.

 

The two ponies then chuckled at each other as they made their way towards Corona. 

 

"Hey Corona... how would you like us to arrange ourselves?" Erlen asked with a chuckle. It was becoming difficult to contain his excitement at being drawn together with a mare friend... maybe Pink Heart would be somepony he could stick around with through high school and beyond...

Corona looked around and noticed a blooming tree in the schoolyard and got the best idea. Without saying a word Corona extended her wings and ushered the couple towards the tree. Corona set motioned for them to sit down looking towards each other. "Ok now I just need you guys to look at each other and put your heads together. You can keep your eyes closed or open it's up to you, also I want you guys to cross your hooves. Erlen for you that would be your left and Pink your right." Corona pulled out her sketchbook and took a seat a ways away from them and started sketching the background first waiting to work on them until they were ready.

Pink and Erlen walked over to the blooming tree at the schoolyard. It surprised Pink and Erlen to see that the tree was blooming despite it being so close to fall. They were motioned to sit down by the tree by Corona, and that they did. Both ponies were wondering what Corona was doing in making them put their heads together, but neither wanted to tell the other... When they stuck their heads together, Pink and Erlen could both feel their cheeks warm and their hearts flying to the skies. They both chuckled as they stayed in this position, allowing Corona to begin her drawing of them underneath the blooming tree...

Sterling had just arrived at school wondering where Pink Heart was. It was the first thing on his agenda to apologize to Pink Heart after his angry outburst. As he walked towards the school entrance, he saw no sign of Pink or even Corona anywhere, giving him a growing fear that both ponies were out to ignore him...

Corona started sketching quickly finishing off the background first before heading onto working on the main portion of the picture which was Pink and Erlen. Corona kept making glances back at the two and it made her heart jump just looking at them. The sight made her think of her and Sterling together, she just only wished that there were two of her so that she could sketch it and be a part of it at the same time. Corona was making the final sketch of the two adding a little bit of her own tastes to the picture. Corona stopped once she was done and satisfied with what she'd drawn she tucked it away in her bag and gave them the ok to move. "Ok you two you can move. I'll have to work on this when I get home and get the linework done but I should have it done by tomorrow morning ok." Corona said with a smile.

 

Star finally made it to the school and limped her way around to the front of the school passing by Corona and the others. Star made sure that she wasn't noticed by anypony she knew. That was until she saw Sterling making a b-line towards her, but he seemed to be looking for somepony. It was then that her leg sent a sharp seering pain through her and dropped her to the ground.
