Pink and Erlen giggled uncomfortably as the two were being drawn. They didn't know what to make of this incident and what their status was with each other... Before they knew it though, the drawing was done, just in time for them both to head to class. Both ponies quickly thanked Corona before they walked away awkwardly, still holding each other's backs as they walked...

 

When Pink Heart noticed what was going on, she quickly moved her hoof away from Erlen's back, giggling with a deep blush. Erlen quickly followed suit, letting go and giving a blush as well... When they both turned to look at the other, they blushed even more furiously... 

 

"P-Pink..." Erlen spoke nervously, wondering what Pink was thinking...

"Erlen...?" Pink replied with a nervous look as well. She wasn't sure what the drawing meant, and neither did Erlen... but neither was brave enough to say it... Both ponies stopped trotting to class, looking at each other in complete silence...

Corona giggled as she watched the pair walking nervously into the school and it made her heart jump with excitement. Corona started towards the school looking for Sterling. It was then that she ended up finding Sterling walking towards the school. Corona hurried to go meet up with Sterling, her heart beating faster from the thought of being around him. "Hi Sterling, I was hoping to see you before class started. I...um...I made something for you...if you'd like to see it?" Corona shuffled her wings trying to hide her nervousness.

 

Star managed to pick herself up and continued on into the school and towards her first class. Limping the entire way to the class, Star was stopped by one of her teachers who saw her bruises. Asking her what had happened Star just simply gave the easiest answer she could. "No I'm fine I just had a flight issue yesterday is all."

Erlen and Pink continued to stare at each other, not noticing the other ponies staring at them as they trotted to class. The moment of silence was unbearable for Erlen in particular, being stuck at the wall, seeing Pink's eyes so closely, and noticing the staring ponies trotting by. He broke the silence first with a stutter,

 

"Pinkie... I have to get going to class now... I'll talk to you later ok?" Erlen then slid to the side and trotted away towards Chemistry class, leaving Pink to continue staring at the wall...

While Erlen and Pink were awkwardly staring at each other, Sterling was trotting towards his first class of the day. Sterling noticed that Corona waved excitedly before rushing towards him. Sterling's interest piqued when Corona mentioned that she had made something interesting for him. Sterling replied excitedly,

 

"Sure! Let's have a look see!" Sterling gave Corona a beaming smile, hoping to see what Corona had to offer...

Corona blushed deeply at Sterling's interest in what she had to offer. Reaching into her saddlebag Corona carefully pulled out her drawing of her and Sterling. Corona slowly gave it to Sterling. "Um h...h...here Sterling I made this for you, I hope you like it." The picture that Corona had drawn showed Sterling and herself sitting on a hill. The sun was setting in front of them and with a few clouds in the sky. The two of them were sitting under a tree on the hill with a field of flowers at the bottom. Corona also had her wing around Sterling and their tails were intertwined. The last little bit of detail on the picture was a heart etched into the tree with a C+SC inside of it.

Sterling waited excitedly for Corona to take out what she wanted to show him. What he was given would leave Sterling stunned. It was a drawing of them sitting underneath a large tree on top of hill and surrounded by flowers of all kinds. Sterling looked at the drawing with complete awe before he saw what was etched on the tree. He could see the initials of his and Corona's name around a heart. The etch made him giggle happily. It was just how cute it was and how much it expressed Corona's love for him that touched his heart deeply...

 

"Corona... this is a beautiful drawing... I'm... I'm shocked... You're an amazing drawer you know that? And I feel the same way for you..." Sterling spoke as warmly as he could. He wasn't one for words, but he certainly wanted to express his deep gratitude.

Corona blushed a very deep crimson at Sterling's compliment's and his expression of how he felt about her. "I'm....I'm not that good. I'm nothing like Vincent Van Hoof." Corona stayed with Sterling as they walked into school together. She was so excited to have a coltfriend that cared about her. So much so that she didn't even notice the other ponies snickering at her dark grey paint splotches all over her body.

 

Ruby was walking through the halls, in all her glamor and making quite the show about it too. She ended up passing Star who was limping towards her first class of the day. Giving a sly smirk she cleverly tripped Star making her fall seem like an accident before moving along. It was then that she saw Sterling and Corona together and it made her see red. She couldn't understand how she could be here and let alone with that stallion. Star stepped in front of the couple halting their progress. "And just where do you two think you're going? Huh?"

Sterling and Corona continued to walk across the hallways together, not even noticing the taunts that the other ponies were giving. He was biding his time with Corona until he had to go to class, when suddenly, a mare rudely blocked the way between Corona and Sterling. What very ponies ever knew... was that he could become a very impulsive and angry pony when he wanted... Her audacity to block them in such a manner made Sterling so angry that he pushed on Ruby and began to grab a hold on her mane. He then shouted,

 

"I don't know what in the hey is up with this school, but we certainly don't appreciate being poked at the way you do it! So get out of the way, you arse!"

Corona was shocked at the sudden burst of authority that he was showing all of a sudden. She wasn't about to complain or say that he shouldn't be like that. Corona felt that when it came to ponies like that they kinda deserved it. Corona and Sterling walked past a slack-jawed Ruby as well as a few other ponies that had heard Sterling's outburst. "Wow Sterling that was sooo brave of you to stand up for us like that." Corona beamed brightly with a smile, making sure to hold Sterling close to her.

 

Ruby on the other hoof was left standing there unsure of what had just happened. Once she snapped out of her stupor she turned and looked back at the two walking away. Ruby gave a wicked glare and watched them trot away with their tails woven together. Oh you think you're sooo special and a tough pony. Just you wait Sterling I'll make your precious love boat sink so fast you won't have time to recover from it.

Sterling gave out a deep sigh after the angry outburst. He regretted every moment of the outburst... but it couldn't be helped. He just felt so angry... it was as if some dark lay inside him and just wanted to burst forth. He could feel the darkness and evil that lay deep inside her heart. He knew it was wrong, and was surprised that he wasn't held back from doing so. He gave a sigh before responding,

 

"Corona... that's not something I'd normally do... I only do that when I get really angry at somepony inside. I don't know how, but it often just comes out of nowhere and bursts onto the nearest pony... I hope I don't do it to you..."

Corona stopped walking with Sterling in the halls just before the entrance to their first class of the day together. She then walked in front of Sterling and placed her head against his looking deep into his eyes at that point. "Sterling it's ok, I know you wouldn't lash out at somepony unless they kinda deserve it or push you into a corner. I'm not worried about you doing the same thing to me cause I know that it would never happen, cause we're both connected here." Corona's wing touched Sterling's side near his heart. Corona knew that Sterling would never yell at her unless it was something really bad but she made a promise that she would never let that happen to them.

Sterling stopped walking after noticing that Corona had stopped too. Sterling felt a tingle up his body when Corona placed her wing near his heart. He gave out a giggle, for it was beginning to tickle him... Sterling told Corona as he giggled,

 

"Hehehe... Corona... I'm a ticklish pony... Hehehe..." Sterling loved Corona's presence... it was another oasis of comfort he could lean on, even when things go rough. To see Corona so loving even after Sterling became really angry strengthened that fact...

Corona giggled when she saw Sterling fidgiting around cause of her wing. She took this opportunity to use her other wing and tickle him on his other side. "Oh you're ticklish huh, well now that I know I'll use that to my advantage." Corona giggled, playfully tickling Sterling in the halls. Slowly she relented watching his tears of humor run from his eyes, it was then that the school bell rang and Corona knew that they had to get to class now.

Sterling giggled and gave a sheepish grin when Corona noted that he was particularly ticklish. Sterling laughed louder and louder when Corona ticked him more and more. He didn't notice all the other ponies who were staring at them, preoccupied with trying to make Corona stop tickling him. Sterling was relieved when the class bell rang. Corona finally let go of Sterling from her tickling hooves. Sterling could now finally get up... He gave out a few deep breaths before he weakly said with some panting,

 

"Corona... I have to get going to class now... I'll... I'll see you later?"

Corona smiled as she followed Sterling into their first class of the day and took a seat next to him. The class went on like normal and when she would need help Corona went right to Sterling for it. Corona was so happy to be with Sterling and it just made everything better for her, even the dull parts of school for her. Once the bell rang for the end of class Corona said her goodbyes to Sterling and headed for her home-ec class. Once she got there she was excited to get started, it was then that Corona saw Star limp into class and her heart sank. Corona went running over to Star with panic on her face. "Dear Celestia what happened to you Star!?"

 

Star smiled weakly at Corona, doing her best to hide her most serious bodily injuries with her wings. "It's nothing really just hit a rough patch of wind while doing some flying yesterday. I couldn't recover before I hit the ground yesterday."

Sterling walked with Corona to their next class without incident, not even noticing the fact that Pink and Erlen had given each other an awkward stare at the sides of the hallway. He didn't even know that Pink and Erlen held on each other throughout most of their walk and was too focused on holding on to Corona. 

 

They arrived in class, and it proceeded as normal. Eventually, Corona waved at him and left for her next class, leaving Sterling to trot towards Chemistry class instead...

The awkwardness never seemed to end while Erlen and Pink were standing awkwardly by the school's walls. Neither pony knew what to say... Both gave out sheepish chuckles after they started stroking each other's backs as they walked. Eventually, Erlen broke the silence.

 

"Pink... I'm.. I'm off to class now. I'll see you later ok?" Pink then gave out a saddened nod, giving out a wave as Erlen walked away towards his class... Neither pony experienced any more awkwardness.... But neither pony could stop wondering... "Does he/she like me?!"
