Corona continued drawing totally lost in her sketch until she looked at the time. It was nearly 630 and Corona knew that Sterling would be showing up soon, Corona took this time to write a quick letter detailing her first day at the new school. Once she finished she plucked a feather from her wing and dipped it in a dark blue powder. Corona then blew the feather out the window before watching it vanish in an instant. Returning a second later was a bat pony wearing Princess Luna's armor. "You summoned me my lady?" "Can you deliver this letter to the princess for me Dagger Wing?" Dagger Wing nodded and took the letter from Corona. "You seem overly happy about something. Did you meet somepony special?" Corona just nodded with a little bit of a blush before Dagger Wing took off with great speed. Corona could see a pony off in the distance, it had to be Sterling. Corona went back to sketching she wanted Sterling to meet her parents and hopefully they wouldn't scare him away.

Sterling was still walking along the sidewalk, continually pondering what Corona's cutie mark represented. He noticed the crescent moon with the halo, but he wasn't sure what it could represent. He knew that her talent was linked with astronomy, but not much else. Eventually, he reached Corona's quaint house. It was almost like his. Two floors, shanty roofing, brown brick housing, and a small front lawn. Sterling was surprised at the similarity between the two houses. He approached it nervously, worried that her parents wouldn't welcome him. What would he do then? Sterling wondered as he stood in front of the door to Corona's house. He knocked tentatively, still worried about Corona's parents...

The front door opened reveling an orange mare with a ruby red mane holding a happy smile on her face. "Oh why hello there you must be Sterling Crimson. Please come in Corona's been waiting for you." Flower backed up and let Sterling enter before heading upstairs to get Corona. This unfortunately left Sterling alone with Feather Point, the blue stallion with a light blue mane and tail was sitting on the couch reading the news paper. "Ah hello Sterling it's nice to meet you, Corona's told us about you and I'm glad my daughter has found such a nice stallion to be her friend." Feather lowered the paper showing a smile. Corona came down the stairs with her mother she was ready for tonight it was a perfect night.

Sterling was surprised at the positive response that came from Corona's parents after he knocked on their door. He gave both parents a warm smile, thanking them for welcoming him so warmly. He walked into the house with small steps, still worried that he would commit a faux pas at their home. He looked around, amazed at how clean everything was. Maybe they cleaned the house just for him... Sterling wondered what it would mean if it really was true... Sterling then responded to her dad's greeting with an innocent reply,

 

"Hello... it's... it's nice to meet you both..." Sterling then pondered where Corona could possibly be, and he asked nervously,

 

"Where... where is Corona? She... she wanted to show me what her cutie mark represented tonight."

Corona came down the stairs with her mother and could see Sterling talking with her father. Seeing the sight made her panic a little on the inside, she knew her father could scare away any stallion within a mile of her if he wanted. "Hey Sterling, sorry for making you wait so long for me. Daaaad please don't make him nervous, I like him he's a nice guy." Feather raised an eyebrow and looked at his daughter with intrigue. Corona then realized how it sounded when she said it and blushed a light pink, Corona quickly wrapped a wing around Sterling's neck leading him outside. "Come on Sterling let's go."

Sterling saw Corona come down the stairs in excitement, which left him excited too. She looked dashing when she ran down the stairs, and the way she said he was a really nice stallion made him blush lightly. After Corona invited him outside, Sterling walked closely behind towards her backyard. It was a small patch of green surrounded by brown fences. Sterling wondered what Corona would do in such a small space as he stood silently after walking out of the home...

"Ok Sterling you've seen my cutie mark and I'm going to show you just what my talent is. Look up at the sky, you'll see a few clouds in the sky but you can still see the moon." The moon was a bright crescent moon tonight, not as bright as she would've liked it to be but it was one of her favorite moon phases done by the princess. Corona smiled and hovered off the ground for a moment before taking off into the sky. Corona did elegant loops and her speed was quite amazing especially to be able to do such hard recoveries. Corona pulled water out from each of the clouds in the air, each one slowly fading away into the darkness. Corona spun as she flew higher and higher into the sky until she could see the water slowly starting to freeze. She stopped and and in one quick movement she flew the water into a thin line around the circumference of the moon. Landing on the ground with a little wind blasting off the grass she looked to Sterling and then back up to the moon. Sitting in the sky was a shining ring on the far outside of the moon shining brightly illuminating more of the town. "There you go Sterling that's my special talent, no other pegasus can produce this. Not even the great Rainbow Dash."

Sterling wasn't sure what Corona was doing, but in any case, he was stunned at her movements across the sky. It eventually led to a huge white circle forming around the moon, leaving Sterling cheering and shouting for more after she was done her trick. When Corona came back down to Earth after her trick, Sterling was still clapping away and staring at the sky. He was still mesmerized at the sky and didn't hear what Corona was saying when it came to the rarity of her trick...

Corona blushed at hearing Sterling clapping so much when she had finished her talent. She'd never had somepony who enjoyed being around her as much as Sterling did and it was a welcome relief. "Th....thank you Sterling. I'm really glad that I met you, you just seem to brighten my day when you're around." Corona spoke shyly, shuffling her hooves in place. "That will stay like that for a few hours. If you'd like, would you want to come upstairs and see my room?"

Sterling eventually finished clapping when Corona spoke again. He blushed when Corona said how much he brightened her day. No mare had ever told him that in his life. He shook his head out of his daydreams and replied to her question with excitement,

 

"Sure! Let's go upstairs! Let's see the Corona from there! Yeah, yeah, yeah!" Sterling couldn't contain his excitement at that point, still mesmerized by Corona's trick as he got up and trotted back to the house.

Corona followed Sterling into the house and escorted him upstairs and down the hall before heading towards her room. Corona opened her bedroom door and walked in turning on the light. Inside was a light pink room with a pink and purple bed, there was a desk sitting on the other side of the room from the bed. Along the walls and ceilings were posters of the wonderbolts, some of them signed by some of the famous ponies in the group. Directly across from the door was the window that Corona had been sketching in, her pad of paper still sitting in the window sill. Next to the window in the corner was another door no doubt leading to the closet. "Well Sterling here's my room for you." Corona giggled

Sterling walked up the stairs that led to Corona's room. From what he saw so far, Corona's house was very quaint and he felt comfort from it, since it was quite similar to his humble abode back in Manehattan. Corona then showed him her room, leaving Sterling wowed at what was inside...

 

He could see all the Wonderbolt pictures, concluding that she was one of their biggest fans. He could also see an area where Corona would make her sketches in her spare time. Sterling also took particular note at how neat the room was laid out, unlike his which was quite messy... So messy that his parents would scold him for it. Sterling gave out a chuckle of his own when he thought about his room and replied sheepishly,

 

"Wow Corona... your room is so neat..."

Corona blushed lightly she couldn't tell whether it was because of how clean her room was or if it was because of all the cool things in her room. Corona motioned for Sterling to come in and look around for a bit. "Please make yourself at home Sterling." Corona trotted over and picked up her sketch pad and pencils before moving them to her desk. "So Sterling, what afterschool class do you plan to sign up for tomorrow? I plan to sign up for the Feather Falcons Wingball team. Nothing like showing off my skills in the hopes of becoming a Wonderbolt right. Heh heh." Corona sat down on her bed and awaited Sterling's response.

Sterling heard Corona's invitation to make himself feel welcome. Without any manners, he instantly jumped on top of Corona's bed and lied down on it. He didn't realize that it was very impolite to do so, especially because of Corona's invitation. As he sat, he lied down on her bed, marveling at how comfortable it was. The bed felt very fluffy and Sterling sighed happily as he curled on the bed. He then heard Corona's question and answered dreamily,

 

"Well... I'm hoping I can join the Biology club... and the school's orchestra. I hope I can make many more friends there!"

Corona giggled when she saw Sterling jump onto her bed, she didn't mind at all, it was nice to have a friend over. Corona was quite intrigued with what Sterling was going to join up for it fit him perfectly. "Sterling those sound perfect for you. If there's anypony to be the next big science pony and come up with something new for the medical field it's you. If I make it on the team for the Feather Falcons will you come and watch me in my first game?" Corona was so interested in how Sterling was so into Biology even though she didn't understand it, but his love for music was something she really could connect with.

Sterling continued to lie comfortably on Corona's bed, happy that Corona didn't mind him lying on her comfy bed. He could hear admiration from Corona's mouth as she expressed her faith in Sterling to come up with the next big medical advance for Equestria. Sterling often dreamed of that being a reality, but he often doubted his own abilities. That was especially true considering how ponies continually made fun of him for being so clumsy. He replied with a meek smile,

 

"Thanks Corona. That's my dream. To help ponies be cured of their ailments and to continually care for them when they need it." Sterling then remembered Corona's question for Sterling and he answered that with a gleeful smile,

 

"And I'll definitely come see you play with the Feather Falcons! But what's Wingball?"

Wingball is a new sport that's up and coming something my dad did a report on, it's not gotten a ton of fame yet but it's getting there. "There is a big flight arena and field with two tall polls with large rings on the top of them. One poll is higher than the other and is worth 5 points and the shorter one is only worth one. The team that has the most points after two 20 min halves is the winner. There's a guard for the rings, a main scorer called the lead ace, and the wing guard are the ones that guard the lead ace." Corona was getting more and more excited as she talked about it, slowly starting to fly without even noticing until she'd finished talking. Slowly lowering herself back onto her bed she blushed a little. "Sorry I get really excited when I talk about this."

Sterling was able to follow along Corona's explanation at first, but he quickly lost her as she continued to ramble on and on about Wingball. So lost that he looked stunned when she apologized for ranting for so long. Sterling shook his head when Corona apologized and replied with a sheepish chuckle,

 

"It's... it's alright Corona." In fact, Sterling was more lost within Corona's eyes every passing second. He found it really cute that Corona was ranting about something she loved to do, and considering her shyness, he found her rambling very attractive... He wasn't sure why, but he found it hard to say anything more to her afterwards that response... It was like he wanted her to keep talking...

Corona giggle seeing Sterling kinda space out a little as she talked, but then she noticed that he was looking at her a well. Corona blushed and moved a wing in front of her face, never really being one to show when she's embarrassed or being shy. "Um...i...if you'd like Sterling we could um....maybe lay on the roof and stargaze. Um...that is....you know...if you'd want to that is." Corona was completely flustered when Sterling was around and she couldn't figure out why. Sure he was a nice Stallion, but there just seemed to be something about him that Corona found special and what ever it was made her more nervous than the time she met Soarin for the first time.

Sterling shook his head when Corona giggled at him. He quickly left his dreamy state and responded quickly to Corona when she asked him to look out at the night sky,

 

"Huh? Sure! Let's do that!" After realizing his sudden outburst, Sterling giggled sheepishly and blushed deeply. He couldn't understand why he lost concentration so easily whenever he was around Corona. In fact, Sterling was wondering why Corona was looking increasingly attractive as their time together continued. Sterling couldn't keep the thoughts off his head as he promptly jumped off the bed and made his way towards the door.

Corona watched Sterling heading towards the door and she moved without thinking. Quickly she flew over and grabbed Sterling picking him up and flew towards the large window. Opening it quickly she flew straight up and gently placed Sterling on the roof of the house. Corona flew back into her room and returned with a blanket and spread it out on the roof so that they could lay down without getting scratched up. Corona laid back on the blanket and looked back at Sterling. "Care to join me Sterling?"

Sterling felt himself lifted by Corona suddenly. He felt the air flying to his face when Corona flew him out of the houses' window and towards the roof. He was then placed onto the roof, and Sterling was left to look out at the night sky. Sterling was wondering what Corona was doing, but the irritation he felt on his back as a result of the roof's tiling wasn't very comforting to say the least. After about a minute or two, Corona came back to Sterling with a blanket, and she placed it on top of the tiling. Her offer to Sterling to lay on the blanket was warmly welcomed, and Sterling laid on the blanket, making sure to give just enough space so that he could cuddle closely with Corona while letting her lay on the blanket too...

Corona was enjoying spending the time with Sterling it was the best time she'd had in a long time by far. Corona found herself shuffling a little closer to Sterling as the time past until she found one of her hooves touching his. Corona felt her cheeks getting warm as she started blushing. She didn't look at him, her heart was beating faster and faster and she couldn't figure out why she was feeling like this. "Um...I'm really glad that you came by Sterling. This is the most fun I've had in a long time. I'm really glad that we became friends." Corona didn't know what to do, she wanted to be closer to Sterling for some reason but was really nervous for some reason.

Sterling was enjoying his time with Corona very much. He looked in awe at the night sky, but his attention was quickly shifted to Corona when her hooves began to touch his... He didn't want her to stop touching him, and he responded in kind... he decided to "accidentally" touch Corona's wings by letting his free hoof lean on top of her wing. He found this touching very enjoyable, yet embarrassing. He giggled sheepish as he touched her wing, feeling giddy that he was being given many opportunities to snuggle with Corona...

Corona felt her heart start beating faster and faster the longer Sterling was touching her wing. Corona squeed on the inside as she scooted closer and closer to Sterling. Before long their sides were touching, at that point Corona knew exactly what the feeling was. Corona couldn't deny it now, she had a huge crush on Sterling and them spending this time together was solidifying it more and more. Corona's mother walked into her room not seeing either of them but noticed the window open came to the assumption that they were on the roof. Sticking her head out the window she called to the you ponies. "Sterling it's almost 9 you should probably head home before your parents start to worry."
