New prefix for Octavia's Hall

I feel that Octavia's Hall should be granted with a new prefix labelled 'Game Development' or 'Gaming'.

 

I've seen quite a few topics throughout Sugarcube Corner stating about how people are creating their own MLP related game, be it Ponehammer 40K or an RPG based pony game. However, I feel that these sort of topics should be based in Octavia's Hall as they are a form of expressive art and are projects that certain people are working on. I didn't realize that Octavia's Hall didn't have a 'Game Development' section until a spoke to someone this morning who wanted to know where to post their currently in production game. So, basically, I'd quite like the idea of Octavia's Hall having a 'Game Development' section as gaming is something that catches my eye and also something that may be pony related but I feel looms closer to the expressive arts section (Octavia's Hall) rather then pony related randomness (Sugarcube Corner)

I just added a "Game" prefix an hour or two ago.

 

As an aspiring game developer myself, I fully agree that video games are a form of art and deserve to be recognized as such. I just haven't observed much demand for a "game" prefix until now, but it looks like the time has come.

 

Can I ask a favour, please? Now that we have our new Octavia's Hall prefix, it would be greatly appreciated if you could file a report on any "I'm making a game" topics that are not in Octavia's Hall or have the wrong prefix on them. The next moderator to come on will move and re-prefix them as needed.

Yeah thats probably a really good idea. For a while i was devolping games and i think if some one is developing a game they should be able to seek help and wisdom from others. Of course, this mat be more suited for SugarCube Corner, but still its a good place to host them.
