Our story begins with

Twilight sparkle sitting in her library reading a book unknown to her that two ponies are on there way to her and they want answers these ponies are the doc friend of twilight over the past year and snake a special agent that twilight hasn't seen in over six years and now it comes to a conclusion

Story begin

 

The two ponies known as snake and the doc have survived the everfree forest and are now returning and are heading for twilights library

With there friend seth eclipse The light brown pony know as snake hobbles up beside the doc wrapped in blood soaked bandages as they walk threw ponyville snake turns to the doc "hey doc you think I'm gonna bleed out before we make it to twilights?" He spoke threw gritted teeth.

Doc turned to Snake and grunted impatiently. He was beyond grumpy. "If you really think your not gonna make it then why won't you stop and let me fix you up for Celestia's sake. It's almost like you WANT to show up at Twilight's door a bloody mess." He blinked and looked at Snake suspiciously as he thought about his own words.

Snake looked at the doc and grinned showing several blood soaked teeth.

"I guess we could stop quickly but wouldn't you have more medical supplies at twi's knowing her she's more than likely over stocked on medical supplies besides she's seen me in a lot worse of a condition besides being hurt and covered in my own blood reminds me of old times"

Doc rolled his eyes and snorted. "You should know by now I don't exactly need medical supplies to keep you from dying. And no Twilight does not have a stockpile of medical equipment. At least as far as I know." He looked down sadly but after a momemt he glanced back at Snake, all his grumpiness back. "But if you wanna be a tough guy then be my guest. Just keep your complaining to yourself."

Snake grumbled and shot the doc a dirty look "hey I got some of this protecting your ass so don't tell me to stop complaining next time you can push me out of the way a arrow trap" snake tried to get his cigs and failed he groaned he turned his head back to the doc "hey doc how much further"

"Oh can you please stop whining." Seth, a dark grey alpha wolf called from behind the two. "If I wanted to nearly get killed and listen to people complain, I could have gone to the griffins for a diplomatic conference. At least they have some nice drinks." 

 

Usually he wasn't this bad, but after being with this married couple for so long got to him.

"About five miles." he growled. "Another minute and I can teleport us there." The truth was he would rather walk. He wasn't ready yet. He didn't think he would ever be. He just wanted to run away and drown in his misery. Snake kept telling him to have faith, which was ironic because that was the virtue of his element: water. His whole life, his simple faith that everything would work out had guided him and carried him through. But now he didn't feel a single scrap of faith left. His world was now empty and pointless. It had been shattered.

Snake looks at the wolf with a look of want at the mention of drinks. "Yeah I could go for a drink right about now a nice strong bottle of russian vodka that would help with the pain but we have none and as for teleporting I could help you my horn is all okay cause I didn't rush into a boulder head first bwahaha"snake smiled

Doc stayed silent and ignored his companions comment. He was so close to exploding. He had been on the verge for the whole expedition. But he could feel he would tip soon. He turned to Snake and said "Okay, here's what's going to happen. I'm going to get you guys there and then I'm going to take off for awhile. I need to be gone for a few days." He looked back at the road and kept walking.

Snake looked over to the doc "you okay doc were going to see twilight as a team man come on you can't bail on us now we've come so far we're all going to see twilight I now you want to see her no no you need to see her you need to sought out all the facts we will sit down with twi and look at every thing from everyones angles ok max"

"No!" Doc yelled. He turned to the pony and struggled to stay calm. A violent shiver went through his body and his eyes lot up with a blue light for a fraction of a second. He breathed deeply and said "No. You don't understand. I can't. Not right now. For everyones safety." He hadn't told Snake everything about the elements of nature and he didn't plan on it. He really hope he didn't ask questions.

snake giggled at docs display of 'power' and turned to face eclipse. "hey eclipse we better run its a pony with girl problems and he's so angry" snake looked back over to the doc. "listen doc your a man okay so act like one and stop trying to run from every thing"

Seth didn't have to deal with this. The only reason he was tagging along was that he was going to see Twilight again. He had met her during his first mission. Long story short, he nearly scared her to death and got punched in the crotch by Rainbow Dash. He had seen her a few times after, mostly in diplomat meetings, but that was it.

 

Seth sighed "you can leave me out of this, I really don't have an opinion at this point."

Doc was more scared than angry at this point. He was shaking again. He shook his head violently and tried to breathe. He turned back to the road and kept his mouth shut for fear of exploding. He would calm down for a few minutes and then he would have to explain the deal to this ignorant pony.

Snake looked at the now somewhat calmer doc and nodded "there we go stay calm don't freak out its just girl issues okay your a man you can handle them you just need to see twilight and make peace with her you've lied to her she has lied to you so your on pretty even ground if you ask me"

Doc just about lost it again. He stared at Snake incredulously. How did he do that? He always knew the wrong thing to say. Even? They were far from even. Doc had lied about a disease he had. She had lied about her entire life. There was no way he could consider them even. Again he refused to speak. It was probably best that way. He still planned to bail as soon as they got there. There was no way he would be able to control himself if he confronted her right now.

Snake carried on walking towards ponyville getting quite bored he decided to try talking to seth. "so seth you've me twilight in the last six years what was she like when you met her?" I reached my cigs and lit one up and took A long drag and sighed this walk was starting to drain.

Seth walked up to Snack, trying to not notice the smoke.

 

"I didn't know here too well. When I first arrived here, Celestia sent me to to her for residence. Long story short, when she saw me, she fainted. Later that day, Rainbow Dash attacked me, kicked me in the crotch and tied me to the ground. Oddly enough, that wasn't the first time I was tied up that day."

Doc was flat out ignoring his travelling companions. He focused on other things, trying to keep his mind clear. He walked at an even pace as he flashed back to his days in Canterlot when it was just him and dad. No elements of nature. No crazy marefriend. No secrets no lies. Well except for the whole 'my first wife was a necrocorn and you have a half brother who is also a necrocorn' thing.

I looked at eclipse with confused expression "seth what the buck you got kicked in the crotch by rainbow dash that's just wow why she kick you in the nuts man you hit on her or something ooh ooh did you insult fluttershy in front of her ha ha she would kick your ass"

Doc rolled his eyes. Great, he knew Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy too. Did he go on secret, dangerous and romantic espionage mission with them to? Why was he so resentful? Why did he care? For a minute he didn't know why. Wouldn't it be easier if he just didn't care? If he just stopped giving a crap? Just stopped feeling? About everything? He brightened as his now slightly insane mind discovered the perfect solution. He would just stop caring about everything. Nothing mattered. Friends, life, love. Screw it all. He smiled and calmed down as all negative emotion left him. His eyes darkened in both light and color. His whole aura became indifferent.

Seth groaned.

 

"Basically she assumed I attacked twilight and so she tried to fight me. When she charged, I kicked her to the ground and pined her below me. I didn't want to hurt her. She had different feelings." Seth explained. "After the cheap hit to the wolven pride, she was nearly going to punch my face in before Twi decided to pin us both to the walls with her magic. That's when Rainbow tied me up."

" Huh well she always was a bit what's the word crazy I think sums up rainbow dash in a word I remember celestia had her teach me how to fly 8 years ago I was using a prototype wingsuit cause I'm a unicorn she she slammed into me at 3000 ft and broke her wing I had to catch her she she needs to slow down cause I'm not gonna be there to grab her next time."

Doc was walking along almost happily, humming to himself. His eyes were almost black now and his smile was growing derisive. He barely paid attention to his travelling partners. He honestly just didn't care. Finally he spoke up and said "I suppose we can teleport now." he said almost cheerfully.

Seth's ears twitched at the comment from the doc. He knew the tone, but he just couldn't place where. It was happy mixed with what could be described dark bliss. He didn't know exactly what it meant, but he did know that it wasn't good. Walking up to the doctor, Seth asked. "Hey, are you ok?"
