Doc laughed on the verge of hysteria. He stopped and put his hoof on Seth's shoulder and said "I'm perfect. Absolutley wonderful." He smiled broadly. He was sincere but also a little on the border of maniacal. "Everything is gonna be juuuust fine." Doc said giggling

Ok, now he remembered it. Good old insanity decided to pay this pony a visit. Back in war, some wolves broke from all the death and destruction of innocent lives. Seth needed to at least see what was up before they got to twilight's. "So, what exactly do you mean by fine?" Seth asked in a nonchalant manner.

Snake limped over to eclipse and whispered into his ear so the doc couldn't hear him "I think he's gone nuts seth maybe he cracked after finding out about all the stuff about twi and me and groznegrad maybe if we get him back to twilight he'll snap out of it"

Doc didn't hear Snake whisper in Seth's ear. He just walked calmly along as he answered the wolf's question. "Just that. That everything is gonna be just fine. No matter what happens. You know why? Because it doesn't matter! Nothing matters! Isn't that great?" He looked at them excitedly, his left eye twitching slightly. "This way, I won't lose control and nopony will get hurt. Its the perfect solution! Just don't care about anything!" He giggled again. His tongue was slipping, and he was starting to let out details of the elements of nature. But he couldn't care less.

Seth leaned over to snake again, whispering in his ear. "I have seen this before, or something close. During the war, the wolves felt it immoral to kill innocent lives, but we pressed on. This left...scarring. Some cases went mad and started attacking their fellow kin. Others... dejected all life and everything in it. Those who couldn't live with the guilt of murder on the highest degree just didn't deal with it. I wasn't a mentalist at the time so I don't know how it all works. But, I think that from all the stress you put him through, you just forced him to basically not care about anything. If we don't do something, he might just kill himself because his life is meaningless."

I lean over to seths ear and whisper while keeping my eyes on the doc. "Yeah I've seen a few cases my self it never ends well and if he does kill him self then twilight will kill us and she won't make it painless ether she will drag it out as long as she can... What do we do I know how to mend a busted bone or two not that psychological crap should we just get him back to twilight and see if she can help him out?"

Just then Doc stopped snd stared at nothing for a moment. Then his eyes lit up and he looked at his friends in confusion. "You know what?" he asked. "I don't even know why I'm doing this. I should just walk away now and leave all this nonsense behind me. Then I can go and live my life in happiness where I don't have to care about anything." he said happily. "Somewhere on a sunny beach." he mumbled thoughtfully as he began to walk away.

Seth walked over to the potentially insane friend. He had never dealt with something like this, but he hoped Twilight did.

 

"Hey Doc, shouldn't we go pick up your stuff at Twi's place so if you do move to the coast, you will be ready? It's better than having to buy all new stuff again."

Doc laughed and said "I don't have anything at that mare's place. And plus, I don't need anything. No more books or crazy experiments, no more research. Just relaxing somewhere sunny without a care in the world, where I can spend the rest of my days in ignorant bliss." Then his eyes brightened as he got an idea. "Why don't you guys join me? We can just forget the world and run away and not have any worries. Just the three of us." He was smiling in pure excitement now as he envisioned this adventure.

Snake looked over to the doc and smiles. "I'll come with you doc I could use a vacation but we need to go to twilights first for two reasons number one I need medical attention number two I need to get something from twilight so can we stop off at twilights before we go"

Snake knew he had to get him to see twilight some how.

Doc stopped and looked back at Snake. He thougt for a moment and then shrugged indifferently. "Eh why not. Doesn't matter to me. I guess I gotta grab a few things from the Lab anyway." He turned back and said "No point in wasting time I suppose. I'll teleport us there if your ready." He sounded utterly bored.

Snake looked over to the doc with a small sigh of relief "I'm good with teleporting but are you sure you can send all three of us there I mean your horn don't look to good but if you can handle it okay all lights are green" snake pulled some shaded goggles over his eyes and waited.

Doc smirked at Snake. "Can I handle it...." he mumbled. He shook his head and said "Okay then, let's go." He closed his eyes and his horn began to glow with a blue aura. With a zapping sound the three friends diasappeared. There was a loud pop as all three of them appeared at the doorstep of the Golden Oaks Library. "Here we are." said Doc, sounding bored again.

Snake shook his head and then looked up at twilights residents "wait she lives here I've passed this place so many times ugh oh well." Snake looked over to the doc. "Umm you better go in first she might not recognize me and try to lump me in and she might get rainbow dash to nutshot seth again"

Doc' s eyebrows raised for a moment. Then he shrugged indifferently and said "Whatever." He pushed open the door and walked in. He trotted up the stairs, leading his two friends behind him. He walked into the room on the upper floor and there was Twilight. Doc moved aside to let his friends pass, and then he sat down with a bored look on his face.

Snake followed the doc up the stairs and followed him into what he assumed was twilights room and saw a purple mare sitting at a desk reading a book unaware of their presence snake almost ran over and hugged her but he held his cool and spoke "hey twilight or should I say agent eve"

Doc watched with a completely bored expression. He couldn't wait to get out of here and go on his crazy adventure. Be on his own with nopony else, no cares. He let his gaze wander around the room taking in the scene before him. Nothing had really changed since he had left on his treasure hunt.

Twilight was just finishing 'The Thunder Games'.

 

Oh Catnip, you could do a lot better that that peter dude." She muttered to herself. She was about to put doe the book when a voice rook her interest. She looked to her room to find two stallions and a wolf standing infringement of her.

 

"Doc! You're finally home...and Snack... And ...Seth? Not that I don't like the company, but why are you guys here?" She asked, standing from her desk.

Seth felt a little out of place.

 

"Well, I just came here with the two. Nice to see you again, Twi."

Doc looked at His marefriend indifferently. He gestured at Snake in a very bored manner and said "Snake wanted to see you. So I brought him along. He said he hadn't seen you in five years since your spy days together and you probably thought he was dead, so he wanted to come and uh, correct that." Doc shrugged and lay on the floor with his hooves behind his head looking as if he couldn't care less. "So I'll jist wait to watch you two make up and then I'll be out of here." he drawled.

Twilight had a nurvous smile on her face. She really didn't think these two ponies would ever meet up. Her mined began to ponder ways to sidetrack this conversation so it would not land on her so heavily.

 

"So... Seth how's life in Equestria?" She feabilly attempted.

Seth had no intention of being dragged into this debate.

 

"Rather good and all. Meet these two here. Snack and I a actually have some solid ground together." Seth replied, pushing the coveraqtion to the unicorn.
