Hi everypony, my name is lunaisbestpony and I'm so excited to be here!   I have some questions about the site, but first I'll give a little introduction. I really enjoy  talking, speculating, and fangirling over any and all aspects of mlp;fim! My ships include Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich, Derpy and Doctor Whooves, Celestia and Discord, and Rainbow Dash and Applejack!  (Appledash for the win!) My favorite pony is Luna, my favorite character is Discord, and my favorite of the Mane 6 is Twilight Sparkle. I really relate to Twilight, more so her portrayal in the earlier seasons, as I too am somewhat socially defiant and bookwormish, I'm more comfortable alone with a good story than in large crowds. I love writing fan fiction, but I'm way to shy to post much of it, and I really love picking the occasional debate over character intentions and deeper meanings to various episodes. I hope to get to know all of you, and I can't wait to talk ponies with all of the fans. But first I have a few questions;

1) How nice are the mods on this site? What can you get away with? Is cussing okay?

2) I read in the agreements that until I make enough posts I'm going to remain a 'Blank Flank' and a lot of the features will be blocked, how long does this last, and what exactly am I blocked from? Also when I am no longer a blank flank, do I get a cutie mark, cuz that would be awesome!

3) Is there anything I should know about posting? Anything I should avoid saying or anypony I should avoid angering?

4) Can I post external links like to videos and stuff? Or is that frowned upon?

5) Anypony know a good fan fiction I should read? I've already read Cupcakes and My Little Dashie.

Hello, nice to meet you, and welcome to the forums. It's always great to see a fellow Twilight Sparkle fan, hope you have fun here. As for your questions:

 

1. From my experience they are very nice and helpful.

 

2. Once you get to five posts, you get the Muffin Rank, at which point you can also post in the Life Advice section. Once you get to 40, you get the rank of Cupcake and can post in the Debate Pit section. The reason for the post minimum is they don't want trolls in those two sections. If you want to see the full list of ranks, check out this post.

 

3. In general, just don't be a jerk.

 

4. Yes that's fine, as long as it's relevant to the topic. When you post a video link like a Youtube video, it should come up as the actual video instead of text.

 

5. Sorry I don't. But there are a lot of people on here always looking for other people to read theirs, so check that out if you want.
