"That really was short!" Gale remarked, grinning as she followed Thunder inside.

Inside the weather factory, there was so much to look at. Gale found herself gawking slightly as they walked through the factory. "Wow! This place is so awesome!" ( ) she exclaimed.

"Yeah, it is awesome. I'll take you on a detailed tour one day." Thunder stated as he entered the storm making area, where some of the other wranglers were. "So, what's for today?" Thunder asked one of his co-workers. "There's a drought in Appleoosa so we've gotta send them something, not to heavy." Thunder's co-worker replied.

"Ooh, that sounds interesting!" Gale said. "So how exactly does this work?" she asked Thunder. "Do we just...fly the storm over there, so to speak? How long does it take?"

"What we have to do is we have to keep storms under control before they are sent out. Storms can become loose, which can cause chaos to occur due to the fact that lightning can shoot out anytime." Thunder stated as he saw a storm being made. "Here, watch." Thunder stated as he flew off and gathered up the storm with the other pegasai and they sent the storm out.

"Ooooh! That's cool!" Gale noticed another storm being made and flew up to it. She copied what Thunder had done, if a bit clumsily, helping the other pegasi keep the storm in check before they sent it out.

She flew back to Thunder. "Did I do that right?" she asked

"You did pretty well there." Thunder stated. Some pegasai were having a bit of a hard time with this one storm. Thunder went and helped them keep it straight before it was send out. "Today is a rather fast day because of the drought in Appleoosa." Thunder stated.

"Thanks!" Gale spotted another difficult storm; she went to help and just barely missed a lightning bolt! She squealed a bit, but kept her cool and helped the pegasi keep it in check until it was sent out. "Whoa! That was crazy! I see what you mean about chaos!" she laughed a bit shakily as she landed next to Thunder, grinning broadly. "This is so awesome."

"Careful Gale! You do not want to get hit, especially on the wings." Thunder stated as he went to make sure Gale was okay. Suddenly, a lightning strike shot out and got Thunder. However, he wasn't phased. It was absorbed in his body and sparks flared about. "I'm okay." Thunder stated.

"I'll be careful - whoa!" Gale gasped, watching the display. "Wow! I wish I had your abilities, then I wouldn't have to worry about it!" She suddenly loved this job. She'd never had a job that was this exciting, and it had a little danger thrown in. I wonder if Feather would like this, she thought, watching for any more storms being made.

"Yeah...just wait until we get to tornado season, then things will be downright crazy. Wranglers will have to be sent out to where the tornado is forming and try to reverse it out and replace it with a rain." Thunder stated. He then noticed a loose storm. "Let's go!" Thunder stated as he flew towards it.

Gale flew behind Thunder, noticing as she did that the loose storm was very dark. As other pegasi rushed to assist, she saw the ominous flickering in the cloud's center. "LOOK OUT!!" someone bellowed, and everypony ducked as a lightning bolt flashed up and nearly touched the ceiling.

Thunder was right in the way of it and the bolt was completely absorbed in him. Large flares of electricity sparked about his body. Thunder then made sure that the storm was under control before he sent it out. "Well...that's all for Appleoosa!" Somepony called out.

"Phew!" Gale wiped her forehead. "That was crazy! And awesome! And this is what you do every day!" She grinned at Thunder. "I daresay you're perfect for this job." She hoped he wasn't affected in any way by the lightning strike.

"Yeah...and don't worry, I'm perfectly fine." Thunder stated as he looked at the clock. "Well would you look at that, we're almost done with our shift!" Thunder stated as he turned back around. "Now it's just clean-up time." Thunder stated. Pegasai were now cleaning the area, prepping for the next wrangling teams.

"Wow! That was fast!" Gale said. "Then again, a job as crazy awesome as this is fairly likely to pass quickly." I wonder if Feather would like this job...probably not. She wouldn't like the "constant threat" of the lightning, Gale thought. She would have helped clean up, but the pegasi were already done.

"Well...I guess it's home then." Thunder stated as he made sure every pegasai was okay and the teams were cleaning. "Ready to go?" Thunder asked Gale as he spread his wings and prepared to fly back to his home.

"Yeah, I'm ready," Gale answered, smiling at her special somepony and spreading her own wings. She took off, flying behind Thunder as they went towards his home.

 

As they flew, Gale thought on the events of today and the previous day. What had started as a normal, boring Hearts and Hooves Day had turned into a wonderful two days of being with Thunder. She smiled to herself, remembering the rose he had given her the day before.

Thunder took to the skies and waited for Gale to come. He also thought about that Hearts and Hooves Day where he met Gale and gave her that rose.

(Awesome! Skipping it seems like the better choice, since weddings are fairly simple procedures XD! Unless you have any cool ideas for the reception; then we could RP that part. But if not, we'll just time-jump a little XD!)

 

Gale flew beside Thunder. Who knew that in two days, so much could change? she thought happily. Now I have a wonderful special somepony, and the same job as his to boot. And we're so much alike, you'd think we were meant to be. She smiled. Maybe we were.

Thunder had arrived back at his house and waited for Gale at his doorstep. He would then go down to Ponyville and get something really special for Gale. He hid the look on his face so Gale wouldn't know what he would be going down to Ponyville for.

Gale entered the house and sat down on the couch. "Wow, this has been an awesome day!" she said happily. "Storm-wrangling, cuddling...it's amazing how much better life is with a special somepony." She grinned at Thunder, then leaned back and sighed contentedly.

"It's really nice...hey Gale, I'm gonna fly down to Ponyville...I've gotta go get something done. Will you be alright?" Thunder asked as he waited at the door and waited for Gale to answer. He would go and get the ring and return, making sure not to give himself away and blow his cover.

Gale nodded. "I'll be all right," she reassured him, not curious in the least of what he was doing as long as nothing happened to him. After he left, she felt thirsty and went to get some water, then lay down on the couch, letting her mind wander wherever it pleased.

Thunder flew down to Ponyville and went to the jewelry shop. There, he found a golden ring, perfect for his proposal to Gale. He brought it and flew back to his house. He was all ready to propose to Gale and he was very happy and knew that Gale would say yes. He arrived back home. "Gale?" Thunder asked.

"Hey Thunder!" She saw he was holding something where she couldn't see it - that was obviously small. She wondered what on earth it could be. That's nice of him, to get me a gift! she thought. Then a thought popped into her mind and her heart rate sped up. Refusing to let herself hope, she awaited his explanation of what he held.
