Twilight Sparkle, princess of magic, was sitting in her library's privet reading section, enjoying a new shipment of books imported from Canterlot. Spike was in charge of sorting the books after Twilight finished them. It was a good system: Twilight got to read, Spike just had to toss a book where Twilight wanted them.

 

"Hmm... Odd of Seth to recommend a book about wars in space. He always talks about how he thinks battles are dishonorable. Plus, I doubt Nightmare Moon could convert the moon into a gun that would destroy the sun. It would take enough energy to cause enough fusion to cause the sun to go micro-nova. That would need... hmm." Twilight thought about the idea, then she acted. "Spike!" The princess called called.

 

"Yes, Twi?" The dragon called from the public library section.

 

"Can you grab my complete volume on quantum physics? I need to do a bit of research." Twilight requested.

 

"Oh come on Twilight, last time I tried to pick that book up, you needed to reline my spine." Spike moaned.

Draco was flying quite quickly after delivering Celestia's rare diamond cake from the zebra lands. He began to sing as he felt really good right now. He began to sing a song. He maneuvered easily enough with his large wings but he couldn't pull off the sharper turns normal pegasi could do.

"Twilight, why do you need that much uranium?" Spike asked, scribbling down notes.

 

"I told you, this is all hypothetical." Twilight called from a pile of sci-fi novels and physics books. "Now what sounds better: The Eclipse, or The Sovereign?" 

 

"Eclipse...do I even want to ask at this point?"

 

"Again, hypothetical." Twilight repeated. She circled a triangular design and began to write down some more notes.

"Ah cripes!:" Draco said as he crashed through a window of the library. That's the problem somethomes when your distracted. He looked at his broken wing "Oh that's not good," Draco said as he saw two Twilights "And i have a concussion so yeah not good. "Wait Twilight crrect?" Draco asked.

"Well I've been better," Draco said as he looked at Twilight. "Honestly this is the 5th time this year this happened," Draco said with a sigh. "Anyhow I brought the book you ordered hard to find. I need you to fill out afew forms please," Draco said as he pulled out a small package along with his note pad.

She quickly signed the paper and tossed to package next to her "Read" pile. "Oh, I'm so sorry for this. Lt me at least get this wing patched up." He helped the stallion up and brought his to the library's reading section and sat him down on a couch.

 

"Spike, get the first aid kit!" The princess yelled.

 

"Coming..." Spike called from Twilight's room. "Here, I got the... You made your own stallion?" the dragon asked from the door way. 

he came over to her and handed Twilight the first aid. "Look Twilight, I know you are still getting over Flash-"

 

"Spike! I didn't make him! He crashed into the study!" Twilight scolded, examining the wing. "Hold still, this might hurt..." She said, igniting her horn. With a quick motion, the wing was back in alignment. She quickly tied a splint around the wing so it didn't heal improperly.

Draco began to curse in zebracan for when he was in pain. "Name's Draco O'Malley and I heard of a Flash Sentry. Arrogant little son of a gun tried to get out of paying for a diamond. Anyhow," Draco said as he looked at the bandaged wing. "Now bad you studied medicine?" Draco asked "Or is it that your friend Rainbow Dash get's hurt all the time?"

"I am a courier," Draco said with abit of deadpan to his voice. "Plus you are Equestria's newest princess. Plus I remember you ordering a book on Starswirl the Bearded. Or rather his offensive spells afew months before this. So yes I know about you and the other element users,"

She said, finishing the last of the spells she was going to cast. "I'm sorry for any pain that you still might have, but I can't give you anything more without risking spell overdose  on your side."

 

Twilight stood up and walked towards the kitchen. "Here, can I offer you some tea?" she called, beginning to heat a kettle.

Twilight came back to the main room as she left the teapot to boil. She sat in the seat across from the Draco. "Is there anything I can do for you while the spells do their effect?" She asked.

"Told ya." He said with a slight laugh.

 

"Don't you have a date with Rarity?" Twilight reminded. Before she could say 'Spike', the dragon was out the door, fallowed by a stream of hearts.

 

"Thank you." Twilight said with a sheepish grin. "So, your interest is in alchemy? If you like the study how did you get into the field of travel and delivery?" She asked as the pot began to boil in the kitchen. "Excuse me for a moment." She walked into the room and prepared the tea, placing the bags into the warm water. With her magic, she levitated both cups to the main seating area and gave one to Draco.

Me or my connections can find it. Then I'll negotiate for it or prove myself to the tribe or clan," Draco explained as he took a drink slowly.

"I can understand that. But why not improve on what you already have to make them offensive. For instance teleporting a changeling over to a volcano," Draco said simply as he munched on some cookies he had swiped from Celestia herself. He smiled slightly.

Plus, combat spells are designed to use the least amount of magic for the desired purpose. If  I were to use a conventional candle lighting spell on a changing, I would have to manually increase the flow of magic to produce a beg enough flame. As for a napalm spell, it was already designed to set a target aflame at will." Twilight said, not noticing how creepy she sounded. "I hope that answers a question."

Draco chuckled. "Then again all I need to do is focus my own innate magic through my large wings and it'll produce a effect of slicing. Heh but hey I'm just a courier pony from a unicorn family. And alot of dark magic tomes that if fell into the wrong hooves can lead to chaos and destruction," he explained.

"I guard a tome that if fell into the wrong hoof can lead to summoning a male alicorn bent on raping, pillaging, and ravaging the country side. But it's a good thing I my home locked up tighter than well a virgin in a room full of horny stallion's and mares,"

Twilight shuddered slightly at the odd description of both the alicorn and the houses locks. "So... anyways..." She started, failing to start a conversation. "You aren't worried that anypony with a power-hungry ego is going to try and open it up?" She asked, again sipping on her tea. "I don't mean to offend you, but as the protector, you might look over some weaknesses that others would exploit. I have fallen prey to the issue myself."
