Iris Wind (in the the signature) felt the first rays of the morning warm her grey-yellow fur. As she stirred in the morning light, the she-wolf wished she could let the night continue on. She felt as if she was compleat, perfect, in a series peace she had never felt before. She relaxed her mind, allowing herself to catch a few more minutes of the beautiful sleep.

Iris Wind (in the the signature) felt the first rays of the morning warm her grey-yellow fur. As she stirred in the morning light, the she-wolf wished she could let the night continue on. She felt as if she was compleat, perfect, in a series peace she had never felt before. She relaxed her mind, allowing herself to catch a few more minutes of the beautiful sleep.

Traveller felt the bed move. He opened his eyes as the sun shone through the window. During his travels he had become a light sleeper. Any movement woke him up. In the corner he could see his bag, the blue book sticking out. Trying to sleep in for once, he turned over and saw...something. It dawned on him it was a wolf. But...why was a wolf in his bed? Actually, he didn't have a bed. Why was he in the wolf's bed?!

 

'Uh, who are you?' He said as he sat up.

Traveller felt the bed move. He opened his eyes as the sun shone through the window. During his travels he had become a light sleeper. Any movement woke him up. In the corner he could see his bag, the blue book sticking out. Trying to sleep in for once, he turned over and saw...something. It dawned on him it was a wolf. But...why was a wolf in his bed? Actually, he didn't have a bed. Why was he in the wolf's bed?!

'Uh, who are you?' He said as he sat up.

Bliss. Peaceful bliss. That's all Iris wanted. As the voice interrupted her sleep, she lightly groaned. "Ever heard the expression 'let sleeping wolves lie'?" She asked the voice with only minuet annoyance. With her mind still at ease, she began to try to sleep again. However, there was one section of her mind that was thinking. 'Who's talking to me?' She thought, but paid little interest.

She asked the voice with only minuet annoyance. With her mind still at ease, she began to try to sleep again. However, there was one section of her mind that was thinking. 'Who's talking to me?' She thought, but paid little interest.

Traveller stared blankly for a moment. She just brushed off him in her bed like it was nothing. He shook his head and spoke again.

 

'Seriously, who are you? I don't know why I'm in what is probably your bed, or how I got here. Care to explain?' He said again as he looked the wolf over. She had fur similar to his, a light grey.

Traveller stared blankly for a moment. She just brushed off him in her bed like it was nothing. He shook his head and spoke again.

'Seriously, who are you? I don't know why I'm in what is probably your bed, or how I got here. Care to explain?' He said again as he looked the wolf over. She had fur similar to his, a light grey.

Iris gave up on sleep after the second interruption. She opened her eyes to the morning light. After adjusting to the brightness, she turned over in her bed to meet the interruption. What met her was a stallion. "Listen, I'm just trying to sleep..." She began, her face turning to confusion as she realized what was in front of her. "Wait... Who...who are you? Why are you in my bed!?!" She asked, beginning to panic.

Iris gave up on sleep after the second interruption. She opened her eyes to the morning light. After adjusting to the brightness, she turned over in her bed to meet the interruption. What met her was a stallion. "Listen, I'm just trying to sleep..." She began, her face turning to confusion as she realized what was in front of her. "Wait... Who...who are you? Why are you in my bed!?!" She asked, beginning to panic.

Traveller shrugged.

 

'I woke up here. Also, I'm Traveller. Don't even know why I'm in your bed, or where I am.' He responded as he yawned. The wolf didn't outright attack him, so that was good. She seemed calmer than he had expected.

 

'Like I said I have no idea where I am.'

She took a quick peek to see what it was, only to find the puzzle to be solved. She had mated with the stallion. As she lowered the covers, her mind began to wonder as to how something like this could happen. "Y...you and... I...we..." She stammered in an almost crying fashion. "But... I have never..." She said, beginning to weep.

Traveller was puzzled for a second. What was she...his face went pale. He understood everything. Why she was freaking out, why he was in her bed, what she was talking about. He stared blankly before looking down.

"Well, I hope it's less strict." Iris scoffed. "Best case in wolf tradition would be banishment from the wolves. Worst case is being killed along with the one who mated with you." Se explained, still crying. "I...can't believe a pony would be so selfish for lustful desires to even try to mate a wolf, let alone a goddess." She stammered.

Iris turned to the stallion. "If you want to help, leave. Never come back here." She said through tears. "It's obvious I have to live through the humility of a non-perminut mating, but I rather not both our live suffer for that." She said. The tears began to slow, her emotions beginning to be controlled. "Just...leave."

'Nope. It's my fault for being stupid. If I have to give up my life because of this, so be it. I'm not going to leave, no matter how badly you want me to.' He answered flatly.

 

This was his fault, and he'd live up to that. No more traveling...he'd miss that the most. He looked again at Iris.

 

'You said it yourself. I caused this, I'm going to see it through.'

"What do you have tied to me? As you said, it was a mistake." She said, getting up from her bed. She trembled slightly as she walked over to stallion. "What do you owe me? You just mated with me. Wait is there but humiliation at this point?" She asked, walking over to her bathroom. She looked in the mirror, seeing a stressed she-wolf looking back at her.

'I owe everything to you. I screwed up, and I'm going to do my best to try and fix that. Isn't that what anypony else would do?' He said again as she made her way to the bathroom. It was all his fault and he'd be damned if he wasn't going to do his best to make it right.

"We... I loved him. Now... I can never be with him again. I rather be alone than with the colt that killed off any wolven honor I had left in this world."

 

She lowered her voice to a whisper. "Maybe they were right, I was a descrace of a god..."

"You still don't get it." Iris protested in a near mute voice. "I have a wolf friend. He was going to be my mate. He is the only guy to take me in!" She spoke up. She didn't care she was denying the stallion, but this was devistating.

She lowered her voice to a whisper. "Maybe they were right, I was a descrace of a god..."

Traveller shook his head.

 

'I brought this upon myself and I'm not going to run away from it. I'm sorry I destroyed your honor, but it's still hard on me. I'm giving up my entire life to stay here. My goals, my future, my entire history. Just because I screwed up.' He added with bitterness.

"You know what? Fine. If you want to stay with me, that's fine." Iris finally admitted. "But what do we do? We can't just act like nothing has happened. I'm expected back at the diplomatic halls within the week. I just hope Seth isn't there. Seth..." She repeated the name, knowing that her life with him was over.

'I...I don't know. That's up to you, but I will gladly take all blame if that's what is required.' Traveller admitted. He didn't want to be held responsible, but everything was his fault. He'd have to own up to it sooner or later, and hopefully admitting it would buy him some more time to live. He had met a wolf on his travels. He told of how wolf packs were loyal to the death, and Seth might not take kindly to Traveller accidentally getting the wolf pregnant...

Iris sighed as she walked out of the restroom. "I'm sorry for putting so much weight on you, I just don't know what to do." She looked around her room. She glanced at a picture of Rainbow Dash and herself a week after she came to Equestria. She had always been there for her. "Look, I... I need to go see a friend. If you don't mind," She said, going towards her bedroom door.

Traveller nodded as his view shifted through the room. He saw the picture that she had fixed on. He recognized the mare and wolf. The light blue mare could be seen flying and doing weather jobs when he came to visit. He sighed and turned to Iris as she walked out. He was silent as he began to follow her out.

As Iris walked out the door, he immediately took to the air. She gained altitude and headed strait towards her target: Dash's house in the sky. She continued at cloud height as she slowed her speed. She always liked flying ever since she learned how two years ago. AS the house came to view, she slowed up and began to land on the porch. After folding her wings, she knocked on the door.

 

After a few seconds, the door opened to reveal a perky Rainbow Dash. "Hey Iris! What brings you to my cloud in the sky?"

 

Iris returned her perkiness with the glumness of her situation. "Dash, can I come in?"
