Sigma 768 February 22, 2014 Share February 22, 2014 Far too often do I want to post something on this forum and I can't find the correct topic for it. My Legends of Equestria movement and me wanting to post a pony personality quiz feedback thread being the two most major. Can something be done about this? duidamasterXD 9,627 February 22, 2014 Share February 22, 2014 I'm having a little trouble understanding exactly what your suggestion is. If you're confused about what topics belong in which sections, this thread has a pretty nice explanation. While gray areas will come up, you can always ask a moderator if you're unsure about where something goes or report a thread if you think it may be in the wrong subforum. When it comes to making entire new subforums and dividing up existing ones, the staff is pretty conservative and prefers to only do that when there's a clear need to. That would require the subject of the subforum being something loads of people here are interested in, it being something that has already generated loads of discussion and threads, has the promise of continuing to do so, and it having the threat of crowding out other discussion. At the present time I can't really see any overwhelming need for more categories and new boards, though I may be out of touch with some things and could just be resisting change. What new categories were you thinking of adding?

What new categories were you thinking of adding? Hmm, you have a good point. Though, I still notice that, if I want to post something pony related that doesn't have anything to do with the sub-forums given (including The Everfree Forest, since it's about non-pony related conversation), then I'm pretty much out of luck. How about a miscellaneous pony-related sub-forum instead? 1 Deductive Reasoning Inductive Reasoning Abductive Reasoning Logical Fallacies & Cognitive Biases

How about a miscellaneous pony-related sub-forum instead? What about Sugarcube Corner? You can post topics there that do not directly deal with Friendship is Magic. Could you provide more information about what your Legends of Equestria movement thread would be? Just based on what you said, it could either fit in Sugarcube Corner, or in a personal blog post. I would need more information to give you a more specific answer. Regarding the pony personality quiz, is that a quiz you personally made? If so, that would probably fit best in a blog post. The blog system is used for things of a more personal nature, while forum topics should be for subjects that can generate a discussion among many members. If not, there may already be a thread for it. You should do a search before creating a new thread to ensure that what you wanted to post about did not already have a thread for it.

Well, I though the Sugarcube Corner was only for pony merchandise, but after a search I found that it's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. And as a side note, the personality quiz is not something I made. I wanted to know the average personality of the people on this forum; so I tried to post a thread about taking the quiz and sharing results, but I couldn't find the right sub-forum until now. The Legends of Equestria Movement would also fit there I believe. To any moderators or administrators reading this, feel free to lock the thread. My question's been answered. New categories are not needed. 2 Deductive Reasoning Inductive Reasoning Abductive Reasoning Logical Fallacies & Cognitive Biases
