Times Walked through the fort not making any eye contact. He began to feel bad that he lied to Sapphire. Times flew up onto one of the walls and saw Sapphire. Times got off the walls and continued to walk around the fort. Should I tell her the truth, No! she would probably tell somepony! But I lied to her face... Times thought

Sapphire noteced times flying up next to her, she smiled but then turned back to look at her book. She leaned back on the wall, thinking about all the good times she had had, and also that even with this war, you could still always have a little fun now and then, it was a nice thing to do

Times flew up to the top of one of the buildings and then flew up to the top of one of the watch towers. Times looked down at the fort and continued to have an argument in his head. I'm sure she will not tell anypony. Thats what you think! how do you know she won't. I don't know, but we can trust her. Why are you saying we? Because there are two of us. We are the same pony. ooohhhh Times thought before he got sidetracked and began thinking about other things

Sapphire looked around and opend her book, reading a few pages before walking down, back to her room. She yawned as she sat on her bed, studing the book that times had givin her before, the one with the sword in it. She looked around the room and smiled as she looked at her book

Times flew back up to the cloud he lay'd down on before. He stood on it and looked down at the fort. He smiled and looked at Sapphire's room and frowned. He felt guilty about lying to her and flew down. He landed outside her door and was about to knock but he hesitated.

Sapphire walked down around her room for a little before grabbing something to eat out of her backpack. She smiled as she layed back and started eating. She also pulled out her book and fliped a few pages in, before looking at the notes she had had from her walks

Times thought to himself, Maybe she is busy, come on stop being chicken , I'm not a chicken. Its funny, you can laugh sarcastically in the face of a Dragon but can't knock on a door. Fine! Times knocked on the door and waited he scratched the back of his head and started to rethink his actions.

Sapphire sat back down on her bed, reading a few pages before times hit the door. She looked up, walking over to it and opening the door. She smiled as she saw times "Oh! Hi! Feel free to come in" She said as she took a step back from the door, wondering what times wanted

Times walked in and looked at her. "I have something to say...." Times said before looking at the floor. "I lied I didn't cut myself.... I'm sorry, will you forgive me?" Times said looking slightly up at her with ashamed eyes. Why do you have to tell the truth all the time. Because that is the right thing to do. Goody two shoes. Times thought.

Sapphire was looking down at her book when he said this. She looked up "Sure, uhhh...If you dont mind me asking, what really happend? Because there seemed to be one heck of alot of blood for just one cut, I was wondering" She said with a half smile as she looked at him

Times thought for a few seconds until he said "Come see for yourself, but you can't tell anypony. Okay." Times said looking at her. "I have a reputation in the Lunar ranks and I don't want that to be ruined." Times said. He was having a clash in his head again about if he should trust her to keep the secret.

Sapphire grinned "Pshhh, I would never tell anypony, You can trust me, because if I get kicked out...Well, we can say I dont much care..Heck, I was even thinking of leaving, running away into the forrest for a little, taking some time to my self to just get away from all this blood

"Okay then come on" Times walked out and walked to his quarters. He opened the door and walked in. Crescent looked at him. Times sat down on a chair and waited for Sapphire. Times looked at Crescent and noticed he had one of Times' flintlocks. "Hand it over" Times said before Crescent gave him back his flintlock.

Sapphire tilted his head at crescenct "Mmmm..." She looked around the room, taking in a few things she had not seen, "So..Uhhh, if you dont mind me asking, what happend to you?" She asked as she saw the blood that was all over the bed, and how pale crescent looked

Crescent looked at her and said "I was attacked by some shady black creature in the forest. An hour later, He shows up and sneaks me into this fort." Times looked at Sapphire and said "I couldn't have let him lay there and die, I'm surprised he wasn't dead when I found him. He had cuts all over his torso and legs"

Sapphire nodded "There are weird things in this forest...You still look kinda close to dieing, although you do look much better" She said with a half smiled "Guess I should bring a sword with me next time I go into the forest then, huh?" She said as she looked around her

Times looked at Crescent "He also says that he has a family so that gave me another reason to help him." Times said with a small smile. Times looked back to Sapphire and said "Do you promise not to tell anypony, Because if you do, I will be labeled a traitor and he will be killed."

Embers nodded "Yeah, I dont feel like getting random ponys killed" She looked down at crescent "I think most of us had family..Or did before the war started, heck, the only family I have now is a brother, and he is on the same side as you" She looked over at times "Thanks"

Times looked at her and asked "Thanks for what..." Times tilted his head, He hadn't done anything thanks worthy unless it was a sarcastic thanks. Crescent looked at Times and said "I have a wife, now we know she has a brother... But Times... What family do you have?" Times looked at Crescent and sighed.

Sapphire grinned "Thanks for telling me the truth" She said as she looked over at crescent, then back over to times "Thats true, what family do you have times?" He said as he looked over at times, then back to crescent. She looked at the back, were she had put her book down

Times looked at Sapphire and said "I don't really have any family left... My dog was burned alive, My parents were Hanged, and My brother was shot down by a Celestian Firing squad...." Times looked down and sighed. A tear ran down his face and a hundred more filled up in his eyes. Ready to come out in a waterfall of sorrow.

Sapphire took a step back "Oh...Jeeze, im..im sorry" She didnt really know what to say, only her mom had been shot, and she had no idea where her dad was though, she thought he was dead. She sighed and looked down at the ground, wondering how she could have it so good

Times looked up and said "Its okay...." Times couldn't hold back his tears anymore. He could not stand thinking about his family. He covered his eyes with his hooves and let the tears flows. "I just need... some time alone." Times stood up and walked out the tour. He flew up to a cloud and lay'd down.

 Sapphire sighed and looked over at the pony on the bed "Well, night I guess" She said as she walked out of the room and back down to her own. She set her book down and crawled into bed. She yawned as she looked out the window, then she closed her eyes and fell asleep

Times wiped the tears away. He looked up and and thought to himself to try and calm himself. He saw a messenger walking up and yelling "Are you commander Times" Times dried his eyes and flew down to the messenger. "Yes" He said. The messenger gave him a letter. "It is from luna herself." The messenger said as Times opened the letter.
