King 5,625 February 26, 2014 Share February 26, 2014 (edited) The site currently does allow users to recover their accounts should they forget their password for some reason. At the log in screen click the text that says "Forgot Password" and you will be take to a page where you enter your email. The account associated with that email will then have its password reset and an email sent forward to the email you provided. As I recall, we haven't faced any issue's with this system as of yet, however if the system bugged out for you it may be worth sending in a Technical Support Ticket with as much information as possible and the admins will take a look. Any issue with account recovery systems is rather major. Simon 4,557 February 26, 2014 Share February 26, 2014 @, I think the OP was asking about the site adding a username recovery, not talking about a problem with the password recovery system. Anyway, I think it's a pretty good suggestion... especially since the site allows you to change usernames, it might help out some users to be able to get a reminder about what their username is.

I've never actually heard of that before :? I assumed he meant a password recovery. Thank you for clearing that up It doesn't sound like a bad idea actually, but it would better be placed in the forum's suggestion and feedback section where other members and staff can comment on the idea. Personally though I like it. Implementing such a system shouldn't require too much work. SCS 7,537 February 26, 2014 Share February 26, 2014 Hi @Jay, as your post is a suggestion for MLP Forums as opposed to a question, I have moved it to the Feedback & Suggestions forum section. You can post ideas you have for the site in Feedback & Suggestions, but Site Questions & Tech Support should be used to ask questions about the site.

I added this. The password recovery email now contains your login name and clearly instructs you to use it. 2 Avatar credit: robinrain8 Signature credit: Kyoshi
