First digital-painted pony (pretty bad, actually)

This is just the first pony I have created (I know it's pretty bad). I based it off my ponycreator version but created this one on Windows 8 Paint. Also, the formerly yellow parts of its hair have been changed to black (some shows through because I couldn't get it to erase cleanly) to make the colors clash less. So...yeah. Please give me advice because although I am great at drawing and painting, I am terrible at computer-related art. post-23931-0-51500700-1393550783_thumb.png

I can't get straight lines to go exactly where I want them to - notice how the gray lines waver everywhere? And on the tail I just kept making it bigger because I couldn't get the colors to go in the right direction. I guess it's not too bad, though. (It looks worse close-up on the program)>

it looks like you went to a pony creator and Microsoft painted over the pony you made. What I reccommend is zooming in and doing the edges pixel by pixel. You can save time by making various circles and ovals that overlap till you get the shape you want, then erase the parts you don't need.

The drawing is a bit rough around the edges but I don't care, it is a good first attempt at digital art. Personally I find gimp easier to use because of the layers and because of other tools that are useful. But that is just my personal opinion, I'm not going to force you to do anything.
