Hi @Ponyshimmer14, just letting you know that I hid your two other identical topics about this. My guess is that you accidentally posted those. It's likely it was a lag issue.

I don't have any experience with SFM myself, but their FAQ page might be able to help you get started with the program, if you haven't seen it already.

Hello, I'm a SFM user with around 200 hours into it.

I'd suggest that you do a couple of tests and make a few images and I also suggest you go to this thread for models and scripts you won't be able to get in the workshop: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1196077.

I'd also check out Garry's mod.org for other models that can be used in SFM.

If you're looking for mods or models that might interest you, and want to make stuff with ponies, there's a DeviantArt community for it. The originals are made by "Poninnahka", and other stuff is here.

For animation, look up the Valve video tutorials on YouTube - some of the earlier ones are more to do with recording TF2 gameplay, and can be used to make fun shorts in which you're only changing a bit of the animation. For more manual animations, skip several tutorials ahead to where they do "Pose to pose animation".
