"Awesome!" Thunder stated as he continued to ascend into the air. They were close to the part of the sky where there was less gravity. Thunder came up to a peak and then dove down 90 degrees with his car increasing speeds and losing altitude rapidly. He then opened the final pair of rocket thrusters and the car shot down, hitting mach 4.

"Ah, I see you know a couple of aerial tricks, I remember when I did this trick for the first time, nearly crashed my jet, but I managed to pull it off in the nick of time," Celsius stated as they hit mach 4, "why do you put wings on a car, when they make jets?" he asked curiously.

"Well...as they say "2 is better than 1" Thunder stated as he was almost hitting mach 5. He then spotted a bridge. He went for it and went under it, clearing it perfectly. He then pulled back up into a loop. "Yeah!" Thunder shouted as the car started to gain altitude again.

Celsius looked over his shoulder back at the bridge, which was getting smaller as they gained altitude, and said, "Man, I haven't done that trick in forever! Let's try a couple barrel rolls."

"Got it!" Thunder stated as he dove and pulled three barrel rolls, causing him to fly back towards the bridge. What he did next, would really push his limits. As he went through the bridge, he pulled a small loop and ended up going through the bridge again. He then pulled a cobra roll and continued forth.

"Wooooooo!" yelled Celsius through his mic with excitement, "Man, have I got myself some competition or what? I can't wait to race you. Jet verses car," he stated not backing down from this challenge. "I think you out to see my bird, she's a beauty. She can reach up to 2,000mph in less then 5 seconds."

"Heh, I didn't even use half of my power on that start..." Thunder stated as he pulled a diving loop. "So where's this jet of yours?" Thunder stated as slowed down and landed on a nearby stretch of road. He then brought the car to a halt. "With this much power, you've got to have spectacular brakes." Thunder said.

"She's in my hanger next to my workshop on the outskirts of Detrot. Shall we go get her?" said Celsius taking off his goggles, unbuckling his seatbelt, and opening the car door. "Oh, man that was fun! I like your car Thunder, breaks barriers, quite inside, it fits my standards."

"Yeah." Thunder stated as he got out of the car. They were in front of Nitro's HQ. "You said you wanted to race right. I'll bring Venom with me then." Thunder stated as he got back into his car and waited for Celsius to lead the way to his hanger. "This pegasus thinks he could take me down...well...he hasn't seen me at full power yet...there was just one switch I forgot to pull." Thunder stated as he eyed the hyper-switch that remained in the red striped casing.

Up in the air, a few minutes away from home, Celsius was confident that he well win this race. He doesn't stand a chance against my jet. 150 mph in a second, ha, that's nothing. He looked to his left and saw Thunder next to him, he smiled and said, "Hey, isn't Nitro gonna race to?"

"Nah, you can get him to race after. Thunder stated as he secretly gathered electricity. He then waited for Celsius at the starting line. "Little does he know that when I ultra-charge the engine, this thing'll launch off in a blink of an eye." Thunder thought to himself waiting.

(OOC: Wait I'm confused, aren't they going to get Celsius's jet?)

 

They finally reach the hanger and land beside it. Celsius walks over to a number pad, types in a code, and the automatic door reveals his jet. "Here she is, I'm calling her an F-16. It sounds cool to me, " Celsius walks over to the jet, rubbing the body all the way down to the wing, "ain't she a beauty?"

"I've seen F-22s before. Only in the military " Thunder then reaches into a small compartment and pulls out his Major seal. "That's because I'm a Major in the Equestrian Military Air Force. They let me test some of the latest prototypes of jets." Thunder explained as he put the badge away.

Celsius stops rubbing the F-16 with affection and looks at Thunder with confusion, "Wait, Equestrian Military? I thought we only had the Royal Guard, I need to get out more then." He went over to a locker where he kept his pilot suit and helmet. Celsius pulled his flight suit over his clothes and took out his helmet, held it with one hoof, and walked over to the F-16 and climbed up into the cockpit.

Thunder climbed back into his Hennessy Venom GT and gunned the engine. He revved it hard several times. He then backed out and waited for Celsius. With its advanced system, Thunder's Venom GT was able to tap into Celsius's communication system. "Yo Celsius! Can you hear me?" Thunder asked over his communicator.

Celsius put on his helmet, and closed the canopy to start up the engine. "10/4 loud and clear," he said as he guided the F-16 out of the hangar and onto the straightaway. He came around the corner, came to a stop, and started powering up the twin turbo engine. "Hey uh Thunder, you ready over there, " said Celsius through the mic.

Thunder flipped his switches and engaged the super electric boosters. He then started to charge. Because he was taking in more electricity, a veil of electricity surrounded him. "Oh I'm totally ready!" Thunder stated as he revved his car up to 5000rpm as he unloaded the rocket thrusters, which started to whir.

I know this is role play, but I just wanted to make that clear)

 

Celsius felt the adrenaline start to flow as he gripped the stirring stick with his hoof. "We go on three."

"Okay!" Thunder stated as he kept his car at 5000rpm. He could feel the car shake a little because of the power that was being held back. Once he unleashed his power, there was no going back. He continued to charge. His heart was racing as he eagerly waited for the signal.

Celsius grew anxious as he gripped the stirring stick with his hoof. This is it, he thought, no turning back now. He looked at Thunder and counted, "One...two..." he passed at two a moment, "THREE!" he screamed into his mic as the mass of thrust gunned out of the starting point.

Thunder unleashed all he had and shot off the starting line with a powerful explosion. He hit 250mph in a half a second. His speeds were rapidly increasing. He hadn't even reached third gear and the car already hit nearly 400mph. All he wanted was to beat Celsius.

When Celsius was working on his F-16, he added two bottles of nitrous to the twin turbo engines to give it that extra punch that he really liked. Celsius was at 530mph when he decided to go airborne. He wasn't in it for winning, he wanted to test the limits of the modifications that he added. Celsius was nearing the end of the straightaway and decided to gain some altitude, he went into a 90 degree climb pulling 3 Gs on the G-force scale.

When Thunder looked in the mirror, he saw Celsius rising rapidly. He then pulled the wing switch, the wings popped out, and he started to rise at a 45-degree angle. Thunder then pushed the red button in one of the casings. The rocket thursters charged to max power, and Thunder shot into the air pulling almost 5 Gs.

As Celsius leveled in the air, he noticed that Thunder was gaining altitude behind him. He flicked a switch that powered the nitrous and thought I hope these tanks are working, or this modification was a total waste of money. Soon as he flicked the switch, the nitrous gave the F-16 an enormous boost, almost breaking the sound barrier. "Awe yeeaaahhh! My nitrous works perfectly!" said Celsius through his mic. You could see blue fire coming from the twin turbo engines as Celsius raced through the skies at around 1,200 mph, not feeling a thing inside the cockpit.

"He hasn't seen Thunder at full effect yet!" Thunder thought to himself as he opened a casing and pulled a lever. The extra thrusters whirred up. They then exploded with a load of power, causing Thunder to break the sound barrier right then and there. "Haha!" Thunder stated.
