So, this may be a silly topic, but I wanted to share this cool TIL!

Crustum Roseum - Pinkie Pie

Interesting choice for Applejack! I always found her name hard to puzzle out.

 

I prefer Aurora Scintilla for Twilight, as it sounds far prettier. It also means Dawn Sparkle instead, which befits the student of Celestia. 

 

Speaking of Celestia, her name is Latinate and translates quite nicely into Regina Caelestis. And yes, I did make her into a real queen in Latin like she should be, if there's any more Latin nerds around these forums.
