Stahl was puzzled by the question. He approaches the area he heard Aaron from. He walks over to the edge with Aaron and looks around taking the place in, and tring to think.

 

"I have my rifle. But I swear to god if you drop it....." Stahl says, holding out and offering his rifle to the scientist.

Aaron Takes the rifle. "I understand. Let me just..." Aaron brings the rifle out to the key ring. Trying his damnedest to not drop the rifle or the keys. Or worse yet, both. With a few attempts, and one account of a breeze almost taking Aaron and the rifle to the abyss, Aaron had gotten the keys, holding onto them tightly. Another gust of wind gave way as the building began to rock slightly. The alarm of the building began to sound as rock shifted heavily. Aaron had no idea what was going on. Neither did Trixie or Ditzy. The door to the abyss slammed shut as Aaron could feel an odd sensation going through his body. It was not magic, or science. "Hey, Stahl, does your body feel like its... moving?"

" I feel like this whole damn place is moving to some extent" He says, quickly snatching his rifle back. He was a bit....attached... to his rifle.... it had been with him through the worst of the war. Aaron was lucky he did not drop it.

 

He felt the odd sensation as well, finally getting what the meaning behind Aaron's question was.

Aaron goes over to the front door and he saw something terrifying. It was the tank from before. Pushing at the front of the building. SOme of the stone had slid off and he could see the cracks leading down to nothingness. Aaron felt a sense of urgency as he took the keys and went to the downstairs area. pieces of debree were starting to give way and fall onto the floor. Trixie and Ditzy looked on in fear. Rushing over, Aaron began trying keys to find which would free the mares.

Stahl looked towards the tank terrified. But then in a few moments his combat instincts took over. He ran after Aaron, making sure that ditzy got out and that they would be safe. When he saw the tank again, he was going to look for an ID number. If he knew the tank, he could possibly get the to realize that they wwere not enemies.

Aaron continued to try key after key. Frantically trying to find the right one. And each time we moved to the next key, he could feel a tremor move through the building. Each time moving the building out of the ground and into nothing. Finally, he found the key and Trixie was the first to run and take Aaron into her arms, crying into his shoulders. Ditzy came out and did the same to Stahl. With them free, they could leave. "Guys, lets get the fuck out of here."

Stahl nodded in agreement. He ran over  to Ditzy, ignoring her lack of clothing, and gave her a big tight hug. "thank god we managed to get you out" He said before offering his combat jacket to her.

 

"Were to ? The front door is blocked by that Mark, andthe only other way out seems to be  sealed" he said in responce to Aaron.

Aaron looked to the door out and immediately went to the top floor and began to try and think of a way out. HE saw the door was open and the tank was still pushing at the guard post. But something happened. Giving them an opening for a short period. The tank went in reverse, quickly gaining ground. "Guys! Run for the door now!"

Stahl followed Aaron. When he gave the command, Stahl did exactly as told. He took Ditzy's hand and ran for saftey, using the breif moment they had from the tank backing up to get in position with both aaron and Trixie. He felt the cold air from outside, and wished he could give Ditzy more than his combat jacket.

Seeing an opening, the now unified group made a run for it as they nearly meet with an ill fate. But ultimately, they made it in the nick of time. The tank struck the building and the building fell, and the tank along with it. They all looked and Trixie brought Aaron in for a deep kiss for his rescue. Aaron didn't care that she was nude, he was enjoying the kiss. Ditzy had done the same for Stahl, bringing him in for a loving kiss of his own.

Stahle wrapped his arms around Ditzy and embracced her in a big bear hug. He kissed her with utmost passion, thanking god they  had found her. No matter the setttting, Stahl was now quite happy, or at least cheered up.

 

"So how is the jacket doing for you /" Stahl asked her.

Ditzy wiped awa the tears in her eyes and looked at Stahl happily. "I-... It's working out fine." They four hear a sound that was all too familiar. Turning around, they could see a similar tank. Oozing out of the very streets as they looked in horror at what they saw. Aaron looked to them with fear in his eyes. "Run... very fast."

Stahl was about to lean in and kiss her, when the rumbling, grinding noise of the tank came rolling into his ears once again. The fear of it once again fillied his mind.

 

"Shit, move now" he says along with Aaron, taking Ditzy's hand and running as fast as he can with her

The four began running. THey didnt know where, all they knew was that they did not want to be behind the tank. Trixie ran besides Aaron and Ditzy was flying with her wings. Having them fly her as fast as possible. Aaron could see tears forming in her eyes.

Stahl Saw them too. He wished there sas something he could do,

 

"Ditzy  look at me, calm down please, we cant panic, not now. I am right here with you, and I will be by your side the entire side. " He says, hoping to, at the very least, motivate her. The last thing they needed was someone to panic.

They turned a corner and Aaron could see something that could help them greatly. On the other side of the street was what looked like a high class hotel. It looked like it extended about twenty stories. But it was not the hotel that caught his attention, it was the fact that there was a gap that could stop the tank in its tracks. "Ditzy! Fly ahead and over the gap. We'll jump and you can swing us across. I know you can do this."

" You can do it Ditzy, I believe in you" He gives her a quick kiss on the cheek before letting her off. He looked back at the tank. It was getting closer. With every inch it gained, Stahl felt his adrenalin rushing and his fear rising. If it got close, they were wall doomed.

Ditzy nodded and flew fast, reaching the gap in the ground that would save them. Aaron was the first to run forward and jumped. Ditzy grabbed hold of him and swung him over. Now it was Stahl's turn. Some anxiety was building up at the thought of dropping him, but she remained steady and was ready to catch him in his leap.

Stahl looked over the edge of the chasm quickly, and immediately snapped his head back up.  

 

"fucking heights" he says before backing up and running at the chasm. He jumped, praying to god that Ditzy would catch him. Fear was quite prominent on Stahl's face, and he totally avoided looking down.

As Stahl jumped the edge, Ditzy grabbed his arm and swinging him across the edge. Now came Trixie who was last. She ran for dear life towards Ditzy and jumped. Ditzy grabbed hold of her, but she let go to late. Trixie's eyes widened as she saw herself begin to plummet to the abyss. But she did not fall to her demise but instead let out a scream in pain. Looking up, she saw Aaron had caught her but as she looked down, she could see a long piece of metal had punctured her side. She was bleeding, but luckily it didn't hit anything vital. The impact had loosened the metal and Aaron pulled her up. The tank, on the other hand, had come to a complete stop. Seeing no way across, it turned around and left. Trixie was crying from the pain as Aaron took the metal out of her, holding her close and walking to Stahl and Ditzy. "I... I'm so sorry." Aaron nodded. "Its Okay Ditzy. It wasnt your fault."

Stahl shook his head. " I fucking hate heights" he says before turning to see the events unfold. He watches Trixie get pulled up and runs over, beaten to her by Aaron. He looks to Ditzy, a sad look crossing herr face. 

 

" It's not your fault dear.  Come on, let's get to shelter before that tank finds a way around" he says.

The three ran to a safe haven to recover, Trixie was carried by Aaron. SHe was lighter than he expected. usually equine were much heavier than humans, but Trixie was like a pillow. The three came to what looked like a convenience store and walked in. Across the way was a pharmacy. Placing her down, Aaron went over to raid the pharmacy. Ditzy still had a look of dread on her face as she heard Trixies heavy breathing. It was unnerving to her. "Trixie... I-..." Trixie nodded. "I-it's okay... It was... a-an accident on... my part."

Stahl leaned in and hugged Ditzy tight before pecking her on the lips. He looked into her golden eyes and nuzzled her, hoping to comfort her.

 

"It is fine dear. Dont blame yourself too much, she will be fine. I have seen many people survive much worse" He says to her.

 Ditzy held onto Stahl tight. Aaron returned with medical supplies and started to bandage her up. Trixie let our a wince of pain as he applied the disinfectant. "Tha-... thank you." Aaron nodded. "ITs okay. The cut should be cle-" He was cut off as Trixie brought him close for a kiss. Startling Aaron a bit, but welcomed the affection.

Stahl watched the two kiss and giggled, nudgeing Ditzy a bit.

 

" Heh, will you look at those two love birds. Now that we have room to talk" Stahl smiles and  brings his head  to rest on Ditzy's shoulder and hugging her. The nightmare wasnt over, but he felt he could keep going with Ditzy by his side.
