It took him 1,000 years to do that, that's hardly a battle worthy feat. And you said yourself that Discord doesn't want to hurt or kill ponies

 

 

Being Powerful =/= Being a Mary Sue. People toss that around a lot. Superman is powerful but he's not a Mary Sue because he regularly gets his ass handed to him on a sliver platter. Being a Mary Sue means never being challenged

 

Lavan can be damaged and slowed down, it happens a lot, the problem is that actually killing him off is hard as Hell. He required getting his own beam deflected at him

 

 

 

The Rainbow of Darkness seems to be almost alive, it flies out of its bag and then returns to Tirek, it is fundamentally different from the Elements or Rainbow of Light

 

 

If Discord could affect the Elements, he would do so. Otherwise, he's a brain dead idiot.

 

Not to mention Lavan's only goal is to get power via absorbing them, convincing him against it would be impossible considering he blasted servants just for walking in on him while transforming

I did say that he could get the element bearers to focus their elements though the one element he is trying to absorb. No one would be directly convincing him not to do it, if while he was trying to absorb the element,  he felt that he was being overloaded by that one element then he could, have caught onto what the ponies have done and stopped trying to absorb it as well as continue not to so long  all the other elements flowed through that one.

The bell being removed collapses the entire dimension of Tambelon, it is the center point

The blast was deflected when it struck the wands/elements. What happened was that after draining them, he didn't destroy them. The ponies found them and were able to recharge them using a crown. Once recharged, they were able to control Lavan's power and make him kill himself

Yes but unlike Lavan, he could not actually harm Discord, just because he is abusive to his weaker minions does not mean he would try those same tactic against someone that could possible stand up to him unless he was certain he could harm him if the tried to betray him or fell out of line.

 

As I asked before, If the ''Elements of Harmony'' is more powerful than the ''Rainbow of Darkness'' then couldn't the elements be use to destroy or contain it.

 

I am positive Discord could find away to contain Lavan or if not him directly, he could clue the ponies onto a possible way of doing so, again Discord never actually has to face Lavan to defeat him.

Being immortal does not mean that he could not be slowed down or contained. Discord is immortal, yet the elements were able to contain him in stone, I could see Discord doing the same to Grogar, as I never said anything about Discord harming or Killing Grogar, your can defeat someone without them being reformed or killed, Chrysalis and her changlings is proof of this.

 

And without said powerup he could just be dealt with, with the tactics mentioned before.

Grogar would use some kind of spell to trap them into the dimension he's been trapped for 500 years.

Lavan would probably throw a sea of lava to them while he's surfing.

Arabus would transform into a giant cloud intangible to any of their attacks and suck their shadows and magic.

Smooze easily murders them.

The witches probably are defeated easily.

Catrina brings a storm with her stare.

King Charlatan freezes them with not much difficulty.

Crunch the Rockdog is defeated, since Crunch is just about brute force.

 

What would their reactions be when they run into Celestia and Luna?

 

I think they would likely shit themselves, because previously, the ponies they dealt with were like children who needed a human savior to keep them from hurting themselves. Celestia and Luna are both much more regal looking, much smarter, and much bigger than any g1 pony
